RIP OFF COMPANY

I was scamed into signing their contact. They tell you ADT is upgrading to 6G and you will need to replace all of your equipment for a cost of $961.65. They have you sign on a cell phone so you can't see what it says. I pulled up an email I got the next morning a nd saw that besides the $55.95 per month for 5 years they added on a rental fee of $25.00 per month for 5 years. I also found the Cancellation page which I downloaded and went to the post office and sent overnight to thier office in California. It was signed for so I better not get a bill or I will get an attorney and sue the pants off of them. DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOME. I don't know how they are allowed to stay in business.

Skyline salesperson told me lies to get me to switch from ADT tonSkyline. The 1st lie was that he was with ADT. And that my equipment needed to be updated. later i found he was with Brinks.

Salesman told me that he would send ADT an email canceling my service with them. Another lie. Also was told that I would be reimburse for my payment I made for May billing with ADT. ANOTHER LIE. Now Im in a 5 year contract that I was not given to read nor told about. I want out. Skyline is a scam. They will tell you anything to get your business. No lie to big for Skyline

Trying to cancel home security and fire alarm system.

This piece of crap started with camera problems after a few weeks. Then the fire alarm went off twice. First time the fire department came out thankfully my daughter was working from home. Second time my wife and I were home. The fire department couldn't have broken down my door and both times it was triggered falsely. To pay the balance on this system is totally unfair.

Very dishonest

Don't use nor get with skyline/brinks. Honestly it's a scam. All they want is to get you to sign a 5year contact and then they disappear truly. Listen please do your research before they get into your home and you can't get rid of them. Call the BBB and your local reps about this company.

Very unprofessional,they wont let me cancel and nothing has worked since the first week

multiple phone calls to have tech come out and i keep getting hung up on.When told i wanted to cancel they said transfer service to someone else or pay the 3,500.00!!! you don't deal with never one company to deal with, you have BRINKS,RING AND THESE GODFORSAKEN PEOPLE! what is going on ! oh and ive literally only had this service 5 weeks!!!

Cannot contact

I have tried calling for days. When I get the menu to choose; I do so. Each time it sends me back to the original hello message. I cant get a human being to talk to. Have they closed? Are they even a real business? Frustrating

Don't ever use Brinks/Skyline security. They WILL NOT stand behind their product or service it unless you pay their outrageous fee.

My system malfunctioned after just 49 days. I called and was told me to disconnect my camera, but they couldn't get it back online. Then a sensor malfunctioned. Now they want me to pay a service fee. One person told me there was a 90-day warranty, so I wouldn't have to pay for a service fee, but then after 3 transfers to other people I was told the warranty was only 30 days, so I'd have to pay for it. I have spent 5 hours on the phone with these people and still don't have any satisfaction. You just can't work with these people, DON'T EVER GET BRINKS/ SKYLINE SECURITY SYSTEM!! BUYER BEWARE.

False promises

I was told by their sales guy, Cesar, that he would send my current alarm company a cancellation letter and also I would receive a $100 giftcard for signing up with Brinks. I found it they were never with Brinks and this was a lie because I am still being charged for 2 alarm companies and when I complained to Skyline they said that they would never do this. I showed them the text messages where their sales person said he would do this and they still refused to believe it. I reported them to the better business bureau and now they are telling me i have to have all these documents and to send them what I have paid so they can reimburse me. It has been since July 29, 2021 and I am still going back and forth with Skyline. They are crooks and rip people off and lie to them about what they are going to do. I have all the documents to prove this yet they still aren't doing anything about this. They are not with Brinks but they lie to people and state that they are. They tell you they will pay off your previous alarm company and they leave people having to pay 2 alarm companies.

Was lied to by sales person

Was approached by a sales representative asking if I was interested in upgrading my security system, one that included a doorbell camera. Was told they would be $500 of the $1000 it would cost to get out of my contract with the company I was with at the time. I agreed since I was interested in a doorbell camera. They have not paid nothing and now my camera no longer works after only 2 months. Can't get a response from anyone let alone a technician to come fix the problem. I seen that your company has 372 complaints with the BBB. YOU CAN ADD ONE MORE TO THAT!! If I could give zero stars I would!

UNABLE TO CANCEL DUE TO NOT GIVING ME CONTRACT TO READ PRIOR TO SIGNING. Intimidating, pushy an aggressive behavior of sales rep

On 8th September, I was not given the opportunity to read document before signing a docu sign. The sales rep was intimidating pushy and aggressive before signing, claiming that I would be able to download the document later, which I was not able to. On 21st of September, received email stating document was ready to download. Upon reading document, expiration had expired for cancellation. This is not legitimate, given the circumstances.

Salesperson lied at the beginning of the contract saying we could cancel when we sold the property. When it came time to sell they would not let us out of the contract. Very difficult to work with and in the end the equipment stayed with the property and they continued to harrass me then sent the full contract plus more to a collection agency.

Misleading information

Buyers beware. Read contract before signing, it will cost $3000.00 to cancel. Representatives are not giving you all of the proper information.

Very dissatisfied

Skyline sales rep made an offer that we couldn't resist, they offered to take over our cameras from adt and install two additional cameras. They were not able to cover the two cameras we had from adt saying they were encrypted and it couldn't be done. I contacted a supervisor and then set a complaint, skyline did nothing to resolve the problem, just left us hanging and gives us the runaround every time I call again. I asked for corporate information, they would not give it to me. They said they would talk to the sales guy for offering us something that he couldn't fulfill and that we could pay3503

Fraudulant action by representative Carlos Franklin

epresentative Carlos Franklin stopped me as I was entering my garage and advised me that he was a representive from ADT and he was here to probably exchange out my alarm system? for a new updated one at no cost to me ? I was suspicious because I did not have an appointment for his visit?. My two daughters were present at the time and were alsoalso suspicious

Dissatisfied customer

The people at Skyine Security are the go-between for getting a Brinks Security System in your home. Theyll tell you *anything* to get you to sign up with Brinks Security through their company. DONT BELIEVE THEM! They lie to you, try to sweet talk you, offer things they really cant (or wont) deliver on. The sales rep told me *he* would take care of cancelling out my old service with ADT security. I asked him to send me written confirmation of the cancellation of my ADT service. He never did. Never. Instead, the next time I heard from ADT, it was a bill for a $702.50 cancellation fee.

Deceitful lying scam artist

HORRIBLE AWFUL COMPANY. VERY SHADY! STARTED OFF WITH THE SALESMAN JAD COMING TO OUR HOUSE AND SAYING HE WAS WITH ADT AND WANTED TO UPDATE OUR SERVICES!! HE WAS NOT THEY ARE SUBCONTRACTED WITH BRINKS HOME SECURITY. WE ASKED JAD SEVERAL TIMES YOU ARE WITH ADT AND HE SAID YES! THE ONLY THING THAT WILL CHANGE IS WHO ANSWERS YOUR ALARM CALLS! WE EVEN HAVE THAT CONVERSATION ON OUR RING DOORBELL APP AND OUR CAMERA APP IN OUR HOUSE. HIM SAYING THESE THINGS! SO WE AGREE. NEXT DAY INSTALLER COMES OUT AND STARTS THE INSTALL AND HE IS WEARING A BRINKS SHIRT! I ASKED YOU ARE WITH ADT AND HE GOES SILENT AND CONTINUES THE INSTALL. WE ARE ALSO GETTING NEW FURNITURE THAT DAY SO I AM NOT GIVING THIS MAN MY FULL ATTENTION. ONCE THE INSTALL IS COMPLETE HE HAS ME INSTALL THE BRINKS PHONE APP AND I AM LIKE WHAT? THEN HE CALLS HIS CORPORATE AND HAS ME AGREE TO THE INSTALL AND THE LADY ON THE PHONE SAYS NOW YOU NEED TO CALL ADT AND CANCEL YOUR SERVICE! I WAS LIKE WTF IMMEDIATLY CALLED THE SALESMAN AND GOT THE SAME SONG AND DANCE! I THEN PRINTED THE CONTRACT AND SAID CANCEL THIS SERVICE. IT WAS THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING AND THAT DEPARTMENT WAS CLOSED! HOW CONVIENT! THEN I LOOKED AT MY OLD ADT EQUIPMENT THAT HE HAD TAKEN OUT AND IT WAS DESTROYED! CRACKED MOTHER BOARDS, CAMERA LINES CUT. I THEN CALLED ADT AND TO GET THERE EQUIPMENT REINSTALLED AFTER IT HAD BEEN DESTROYED WAS $594.00. WONDERFUL! I THEN SENT A CERTIFIED LETTER TO SKYLINE SECURITY ON FRIDAY CANCELLING THE SERVICE BECAUSE YOU HAVE 3 DAYS TO DO SO. CALLED THEM MONDAY AND THEY Were NOT HELPFUL AND THEN THE SALESMAN JAD KEPT CALLING AND SENDING ME TEXT SAYING WE DONT WANT TO Lose YOU AS A CUSTOMER . I WAS LIKE NO GET YOUR EQUIPMENT OUT OF MY HOUSE AND DONT CONTACT ME AGAIN. I THEN CONTACTED THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND SAID HOW ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE THIS RIGHT. YOUR TECHNICIAN DESTROYED MY EQUIPMENT AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT REINSTALLED. WAS TOLD THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WOULD CONTACT AND I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM. HAVE SENT SEVERAL EMAIL AND MADE PHONE CALLS. EVERY TIME I CALL I GET PUT ON HOLD FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES AND THEN THEY HANG UP! I AM GOING TO CONTINUE TO LEAVE BAD REVIEWS AND CONTACT THE BETTER BUSINESS AND FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT. I ALSO AM WORKING WITH ADT AND THE FRAUD DEPARTMENT AND THEY HAVE THESE VIDEOS.
