Just OK Overall

I own the Shore Park tiny home on wheels manufactured by Skyline Homes and it was delivered to my property in Upstate NY in February, 2021. From the very beginning the mini split AC/heat system did not work. To date Ive spent $1900 on my attempts to repair it and get it to work without any success. Ive had to install a window unit AC in the upstairs loft with a fan to cool the unit and Ive installed a separate gas heater. Being in Upstate NY I dont need the AC much but Ive never been able to get either the AC manufacturer nor the Seller to address this problem. Eventually Ill just bit the bullet and put in a new mini split system AC only. I do not stay in the Unit during the winter months. When the unit was delivered and set up there were some small tears in the plastic covering on the underside. During the first winter the squirrels ripped the plastic even more, tore out insulation and made nests. Ive attempted to put new plastic on but it is not an easy job to get under the unit for these repairs. After just 14 months the Whirlpool refrigerator just stopped keeping foods cool or frozen. It was determined that a service call out to where I live coupled with the needed repairs would be almost as much as a new fridge. Went to Lowes and purchased new one for about $600. The trim on the interior walls comes loose and I need to take small paneling nails and nail the finish pieces back into place. Some of the wood molding also comes loose and requires the same repair. Notwithstanding the weather extremes we experience here the house has done fairly well overall. Its been about 30 months and no leaks, the windows all work and even the sliding door which in the main and only entry, works well except that the lock never operated properly. Again, overall I enjoy the home and other than the above issues, Ive liked living in it. As a final word, when I first ordered mine the total price with delivery and set up was about $67,000. I thought that was a bargain and still do. The exact same house now costs more then double what I paid and I do NOT consider that to be a bargain. At that price if I were to do it again I would build a tiny home on a concrete foundation.

Skyline electric kettle is not well furnished from inside moulding on top(inside moulding) so we get injury from the sharp edge while cleaning from inside. Service repair is too poor quality wise and

Four times unserviceability occured and every time repair time is more than a week since 17 Dec 22. Customer care also don't follow the complaint and don't give feed back

Poor service of electric kettle

Sir I purchased kettle from VTL 5007 from Ahuja kitchen store Farsh Bazar Delhi on 26 Dec 22. Within the last six months thrice machine was repaired by your technician through Khushi bartan store greater Noida. Your last complaint no.2661dated 26 Jun 23 ( original complaint 2607 )was repaired on 04 Jul 23. After one use again the machine is Unserviceable. I don't know what types of repairing is done by sky line. Very poor service. Please advise me next iam fade up now. You don't provide home service in greater Noida this is another issue. Can you replace the machine please Regards

Bad Roof

I purchased a Skyline home in February of 2014. For the past five years, I have had nothing but problems with the roof. The ceiling in my bathroom is now caving in because of the leaking roof. My vents were not installed properly and I have been told by several roofers that the roof is not even up to state codes. Shame on Skyline for their poor construction. These greedy companies need to be sounded for their cheap and unprofessional practices!

Bait and Switch

Pics are as follows: what we ordered vs what we received. Minuscule Transoms, no dormer, flat ceilings vs tray ceilings on model home. House placed wrong on site. Does not allow for the dbl wide carport nor dbl wide storage as we ordered. Hoping they at least do the flooring choice right so itll be 1 less issue. Glass study doors unavailable? (Might I suggest they watch some YouTube videos on how to make doors?) Photos are from neighbors who have equally bad issues, etc. hubby flying down to FL to view in person and to get answers. If there IS a class-action suit. We may join! NOT happy

Initially my contract was not going to be fulfilled on January 31st after I and the dealership contracted the factory it will be fulfilled

I gave notice that I was going to be in my new home by January 31st they have rented out my apartment I will be homeless on January 31st because the work is not completed

The main reason I am writing this is that we got are new skyline mobile home in July 6 of 2022 it is almost November

Siding on one side is not put on right I sent pictures drawers have nails or staples showing in drawers tile wall in shower looks like *** tile in kitchen is not flush with the stove vent small holes in floor was patched and patch is now gone shingles on roof have nails not all the way down so in time will have a leak we were told that the trailer would be cleaned on inside and out and it was not wife and I worked a day and a half on cleaning the outside of the trailer it had black road grime allover it we had to use goof off to get it off back screen door is not right if you shut the door you have a hard time to get it open we have got some of the things fixed Iike the drywall cracks a piece of siding put back on from the delivery and other small things like that it seems like they got there money and the *** with us We should be able to keep 20% of the money we spent on the trailer until all work is done very very very dissatisfied with skyline manufactured home there is know reason they don't have a inspector and team of workers to come in as soon as the trailer is set and fix all of the problems that the inspector found when the workers are done the home owners can check it out

Terrible workmanship; insulation is almost none existence BUYER BEWARE

Siding is terrible, almost no insulation, linoleum was damaged, and it took them 3 months just to come and say it is not repairable. Front door not square, took a lot of work to put on a storm door; all the molding is nailed in and not finished afterward- I can see the shiny nail head on all the wooden frames on bathroom mirrors. No, or paper thin padding under carpet-painfull to walk on because you can feel every nail and/or staple that is on the floorboard under carpet.

Poor customer service

I bought a double wide from a company in Pine City, MN (I have no complaints on the company I went through). When I informed them that the furnace did not work (informed them within 30 days of receiving the house), I was told that Skyline would not touch my furnace and that I needed to contact the manufacturer myself. This is a brand new home, never been lived in, and a brand new furnace. As a company that built this, they should help fix a problem that they sold to a customer vs. telling them to call to get it fixed themselves. I would highly recommend anyone buying a Skyline to test all appliances BEFORE they sign on the dotted lines to make sure everything works correctly in order to avoid getting told to do it yourself when you get it.

Front door lock replacement needed

Outer key lock does not work. Inside lock works OK. This is a front sliding door main entrance. Also need a doggie door for back entrance.

Own One!

Poor workmanship and overall quality. We have a single wide which I thought may have had something with the overall quality, but it does not appear so by other reviews. Their communication is not much better - they answered my emails in the beginning, but then nothing! Find another manufacturer to buy from!

If you're looking to be treated fairly and think that you're going to live in peace and enjoyment think again that will not happen management will smile at you and promise you and and say whatever they have to say soon as they get their money bam Everything Changes now you're treated like a like nothing you're stumped upon your misled you extorted your course you are lied to you are manipulated and you're kicked out within less than a year and they keep all your stuff or try to stay away from it they're Crooks they're Liars they're misleading and they definitely shouldn't have the job that they stay away

The extremely poor quality of this home and horrendous customer service needs to be made known

Spent two years going back and forth with the factory attempting to get the home to something that even resembled what I was promised. Floors were seriously uneven (wavy), marriage line not blended, no baseboards caulked. Now just discovered on a very cold day that the whole place was wired with the cheapest smallest 14 AWG so breakers trip regularly and we can't install 20 amp breakers without rewiring the entire house. The pictures on the website promoting this company's overpriced house and the house that actually shows up are two completely different products.

Roof Warranty & Guarantee-New Buyer Be Smart

Company never responded to my inquiry. Unprofessional and simply unacceptable.

Perhaps a good run in business but eventually the smoke and mirrors becomes real.

Acknowledging the matter with integrity and respect would have been preferable. Oh well.

My parents lived happily in their manufactured home for over 15 years. Home built in early 2000. However, upon recent inspection of roof and noting several leaks, it seems roof was poorly installed and no oversight on quality of work. Certainly correctable by better roofers at a huge cost today. The 3 star rating (2.5 if that was a choice) is very generous in spite of the inept installation of the roof which is a huge and integral portion of the house. To find out many years later that the installation was a shoddy job throughout, is very disappointing. For prospective new buyers, the home is spacious and suited my parents, just be absolutely certain your dealer has your best interest. For present Skyline homeowners, you might want to have your roof inspected especially if you have any moisture or visible leaks to avoid a larger cost later on. Several leaks were actually hidden. The photos and description are comprehensive. The limited 15 month warranty is intentional. Suggest you negotiate a better warranty.
