Not happy with Timeshare - Shell Vacation Club

I have been trying to get a response from Shell Vacations for almost a year! Other than continuing to take money for nothing-that has been their reply, NOTHING. For 10 years I have paid on this timeshare, never having used it at all. I contacted them after I became physically unable to travel due to injury. This company has no one there who has tried at all to help.

Unauthorized credit card charge

I checked my credit card an it showed an unauthorized charge by Shell Vacation Club of $59.95. I didn't know who these folks were until I looked it u and apparently they are some sort of "sidekick" affiliate of Club Wyndham. Contacting somebody to reverse this charge on a weekend is futile.

Poor communication and customer service

I paid/settled and requested to close my account/membership with a collection company and Shell in 8/2020. And have receipts to show. I even asked was there anything to sign both agencies told me no. Thought everything was done. 7/2022 over 180 day delinquency showed up on my credit report. Ive called Shell and held for hrs being dumped on all departments, hung up on explaining over and over again. On multiple occasions their system was down for weeks. On 2 occasion I was told the account is closed and will send documents to exit. However I never received those documents. I was told to call the collection agency who got the documents however when I called Shell to inquire about something they stated the letter didnt come from them and it was not valid since it was dated 9/2020. I was told that I never requested to close the account and that I should have requested the documents how were we suppose to know to close it is what I was told. I was told the collection company CANT exit me from Shell. Im told I have to bring the account up to date to begin the exit process. Lastly after being on hold for hrs again and on the phone with a rep for 2 Hr Shell once again said it was paid however the collection company would exit me from the account since they have my account which they dont. I verified it. I have not received a bill a notice or email regarding over due payments till this day. I have completely been given the run around for over a month with no resolution but to make me pay again. I filed numerous disputes and a complaint with the CFPB. This has completely ruined my credit.

I haven’t been at all happy with this company for several years now.

Last year I never got any statement showing what I owed for maintenance fees. I tried to get onto Equiant where we normally go to make the payments and never could get on. Didnt know what was happening because no one was traveling last year. I got a statement I think in February telling me I owed all the maintenance fees and all this extra fees. Pinnacle collection agency called and I set up payment arrangements to pay it all off. I started getting voice mails again so I called Pinnacle back. Now they are telling me that the arrangements I made with their representative wont be honored and that Shell Vacations club is demanding that I pay everything by July. Ever since this company was bought out it has been a lousy company. It has probably been 3 years or so since I have even been able to get a resort booked. I want so badly to get out of this stupid timeshare!

Everyone is confused

Shell claimed we hadn't paid our maintenance fees. We said we have the credit card statement saying we did. After 2 weeks of locking us out of our account the confusion 2ss cleared jt wasn't maintenance fees it was. Adifferent "fee". Then they deleted our rci account, which had all the points we had banked during covid. It's been two weeks of r I n around and they still haven't given us access and keep claiming it will b3 24 more hours. Hours wasted on the phone no one knows the answer.dont buy

Impossible to contact "Customer Service." Event #1-question about bill...cannot get to an agent.

Customer Service (when it eventually happens) is not directly satisfactory in solving payment issues. Finally, we paid our current bill via credit card and set up auto pay. 10 days later NO record of our payment has shown up on our CC statement. Called again today: Call #1 22 minutes on hold, then rung thru to a line with no person attached...just a tape hum. Call #2 (different phone #)--4+ minutes of messages, pushing number keys, only to be returned to the same "hold" line as the first call.

We pay all cleaning fees never get a discount or a room without jack hammer .so enormous and loud. You owe me 2 weeks

Internet access problems

I was having trouble logging in to the Shell site for vacation and payment. I was able to get hold of the finance over the phone, and log into the site to start auto payments. The information he gave me still would not allow me into the vacation club site. I had points that were expiring and couldn't access them. The Pissed site was able to help me with the access. I was disappointed to hear that I couldn't bank my points because it was too late. She did help me to use them before they expire. Use

We have submitted notarized forms three times and sent them registered mail. Shell claims that they never received them even though someone signed for them.

After numerous calls, their representative told us to pay the annual fees. Then they would free us from any more costs and cancel our membership. So we paid and sent notarized papers to them via registered mail. They claimed the papers never arrived but, the papers were signed for by them.

Frustration

I had to cancel a vacation and wanted to rebook to a different date to meet up with family. Unfortunately my points were not put back, so I could not rebook. After contacting Shell Vacations, their IT said they will look into it and call me back in a couple of days. Its been past a couple of days and customer service said it will take at least 2 weeks to get my points back. What good is that? There may not be any reservations left that I want. I expect to be able to use a product I paid good money for and being told I cannot book anything until they resolve their own issues is unacceptable.

Scamming people to buy timeshare

it is a piece of *** of a timeshare scamming people around the world. we need the government do something with issue of scamming people into buying timeshare and giving people false hope to have a vacation on the points in the 10 years i own this timeshare i had no vacation through shell vacations club and i pay $ 36000.00 dollar for the timeshare and to resell it is only worth $ 1.00 if you're lucky to get a buyer. My advice to people not to buy timeshares.

Want a paper billing for my maintenance fees

fees are pricing us out of the club. The newer furnishings are very cheap so its hard to see where are maintenance fees are going.

NO customer service

I am unable to pay my annual maint. fees. I received no bill and cannot pay online. I don't even no how much I owe. I have been on the phone for over 45 minutes for several days with no contact. I left (3) emails on the website. What is a person supposed to do.

Satisfaction

Every time I have used my timeshares I have had to fight with managers of where ever I stayed at. Meaning the rooms they gave me where sub stander. Not getting what I paid for. I felt I should get the room I paid for so finally after complaining I got a better room. As much as I pay per. Mo. On maintenance and paid in full for the timeshare I should have been treated better.
