Very Unhappy Experience using the online shopping site & in store results

When we did our shopping I expected to get a reward rebate of over $7 & a credit of $5.00 for using the site aaaaa- we have used this successfully before when shopping at Shaws - this trip was most annoying with the reward & credit not going thru - we asked the cashier before paying if she saw the credits After the sale thru the manager informed us that we had not done the online part correctly & that nothing could be done re:any credits on our purchases -My partner is 78 he has no patience with the problems that regularly occur lately with every Ashland MA store trip.- He has insisted that he will no longer shop at that Shaws store where he has been a weekly customer for many years! If any way you can rectify this awful & time consuming experience , please Do!

Is it normal to accuse a customer of lying about not grabbing an item?

Today at Rockland shaws I had multiple issues with my cashier firstly I politely asked it colds could be separate which wasn't done. After paying out first order I realized I forgot items under cart which did another pay out for. After that fluster went to my car to resort groceries when realized didn't grab my paper towels. Go back in to grab them and pretty much get accused of lying. Go back to talk with customer service manager no apologies no offer of gift card offer just told me to grab it. Very unprofessional and honestly kind of insulting

Poor produce management, rotten produce

The produce in the 7 Continental drive Shaws in New Hampshire is disgusting; rotten apples, berries, grapes, rubbery vegetables, the greens are wilted and disgusting. Two employees a blond guy and a girl with long hair are constantly together laughing and talking, not working and were rude as I walked away, mocking my question about an item. Ive seen the blond guy on his phone on the leaned against the cart of boxes to stock. Ive actually seen a few younger male employees on their phones on the salesfloor. No wonder the food is terrible quality when the staff worry more about their phones than actually doing their jobs.

After talking with a specific individual several times about the issue still not resolved. I was told I would get a call back and never received it.

I have an unresolved matter. I have been given the runaround for many months saying that this matter was going to be resolved. Each store that I went to had a different policy concerning their seafood coupon discounts.

This store does not honor their flyer from other locations of their brand.

I went home a Shaw's supermarket in Mansfield,MA on the way home, I showed the cashier the price and the discount for the item Jake the cashier saw and did not correct it. When I got home I looked at the receipt called the store and spoke with Mario who is a so called manager. He stated they did not sell that brand product. It is their brand, I will be in contact with corporate to get the correct change back and to try to get Mario terminated.

Meat bad in one day

Bought hamburger last night and today its bad like I have had it for a week my husband cooked some of it last night and he said it seemed really soft and old I didnt believe him till I saw this brown meet this morning love shaws I shop there all the time but this is bad

Lack of response

Today I used my wrong phone number at checkout. I was told by Manager to phone number at bottom of receipt and when I did was told they would call me back in 20 minutes. Nothing. So, you got an extra 10-15 dollars exsetttra from me but in doing so you lost a cistomer. Register # 003510****042620****205

Customer service

I wanted a Shaws gift. Directed to card carousel didn't see Shaws card. Manager yelled and said I will SHOW she pointed to top row which didn't look the orange and green gift card., see photo of card on display.I told her I could reach it and she shrugged and walked away. I am 5'2" granted the manage was just as short but I ask for help. I received none and left the store. I have been a regular customer and never interacted with this manage before and never will again.

Unhappy customer

Hello, So My family has been a loyal customer for many years, however looking to take my business elsewhere unless there is something done in regards to the VERY rude employee that the Augusta Maine Deli Dept. has working there. This particular employee I have complained about to Store manager on Several occasions, However Still Nothing, she is still doing the same un professional things. Last Night 12/13/21 My wife went into the store like we do everyday, she wanted to purchase a few deli meats, this employee was there sweeping the floor, another employee was restocking the case. So the one that was stocking the case noticed my wife and walked over to this particular woman, whispered something in her ear, then pointed at my wife. and they both smirked and totally ignored my wife. then another customer came up to the employee sweeping and she was all smiles and stopped what she was doing and helped him right out. Eventually the one that was stocking the case asked my wife what did she want. At this time my wife was very upset. Mind you she is also disabled with social anxiety. she began to break down and cry and walked off and went to the store manager , yet once again. This is the most rudest person your company has, But yet NOTHING happens. I have complained several times about her customer service, she obviously recognizes us we are in the store, or used to be in the store just about everyday. And always very rude and we see her all the time going out front of the store smoking and just totally disgusting. In addition to the Rudest of this employee, you really shory Unhappy customeruld just send someone up from corporate to see how filthy that store has become.. Thank you for your time , Signed a Very unhappy, used to be Loyal customer.

Shaws system concerns

I would like to speak with you about the system you have with this company and how off balance it is. The warehouse does not know how to manage and separate items on the pallets per department and the ordering system is awful. Shaws/star market department heads should be hand ordering all items instead of using a computer system. The computer system is a good idea but the workers and managers know what they actually have and what they really need for there stores. The system will continue to make things more difficult. There should also be no need to be scanning for negative reports, anything that is not in the store is based on our of stock items which we should be getting emails from the warehouse letting us know that so we aren't wasting our time looking for the items. We should also receive emails when the out of stock items are back in the store that way we can just hand order those items or at least let us know they are getting sent out to us. We also need to reevaluate the space we are using in the stores for shelf stocking; there is too much wasted space and also space not being used properly for items being packed out correctly. Everything in the store should be about presentation and shaws/star market seems to lack the understandings of how to do that. We build displays with items that don't make sense based on a planogram we are given. I understand that customer's care about price but at the same time the displays should jump out as an eye catcher and draw the customer into wanting to buy all the items on the display, not just because it's there. If we can manage to clean some of this up, you could have business increase from where it is already.

Disappointed in how they deal with employees with special needs

I just visited the Shaws grocery store on Toner Blvd in Attleboro Ma. One of the special needs employee was being yelled at in front of the check out lines for forgetting his mask. I absolutely understand the importance of your stores rules of wearing a mask but there are better ways to get across to an employee of a disappointment. He kept saying Im sorry but she kept yelling at him. This person was at a managers desk overseeing the check out lines. I hope they better understand how to speak to any employee instead of belittling them.

Loyalty program

A few years back, Shaw's did away with their loyalty program. About a year ago they brought it back as For U digital coupon. I used to use Shaw's more often than I do now. Now they play games with their sales, stating select items of a brand on sale. What they don't say is which items are on sale. It is a form of bait and switch. Start stating which items are the selected items. The last time I bought Birds Eye frozen vegetables the selected items were peas and green beans, when the freezer was loaded with all other Birdseye products that were not on sale. No wonder they closed half their stores in Rhode Island and pulled out of New Hampshire completely. t customers which items are on sale. It is trycinying

Shaws offers 3 extra bonus points when a customer spends over $70 in one transaction. Two weeks ago I spent just over $80 and no 3 extra points were added. Yesterday; $120.12 and, again, no 3 extra points. Calling Shaws customer service number got me the bonus points and the reps were pleasant as well helpful. My question is; why hasnt this bonus reward been programmed into the checkout system so the customer is saved the time and trouble of calling customer service?

Shaws market will own up to their mistakes but, I hate to have to confront them every time I shop there. I would not shop at Shaws at all if there was another store like Market Basket near here. Believe me I have a problem with my receipt every time I go there.

This is the latest, one of many. I purchased 2 packages of baby back ribs. "Just for you" with a 2 package limit. I purchased 2 packages. One receipt entry honored the " just for you price" the other entry I was charged full price. It resulted in a sizable profit for you people. I had an awful time at customer service trying to get my overcharge corrected, I'm sick of scrutinizing your mistakes.
