Replacement boxes

I don't understand why Shaw can't send out some replacement boxes of flooring so we can fix the damage. We spent 3700.00 on flooring and all we are asking for is some boxes to replace. We are not asking for MONEY.I am emailing legal because Shaw is false advertising their product. On the website it states holds up in high traffic areas. NO IT DOESN'T. That is where all our damage is. Please do the right thing and send out at least 5 replacement boxes. The flooring is Shaw matrix dockside hickory. Thank you, Beth Garrison

Damaged floor

I purchased 3700.00 worth of floor from Lowe's 2 yrs ago.It was Shaw matrix dockside hickory. I laid the floor on 1700 sq ft. There are areas of high traffic that are damaged. We contacted you and no response, so we contacted BBB. Shaw sent out an inspector that of course blamed our installation .SHOCKER. He claimed we forced the boards and csused the damage. Explain this to me. It's only in high traffic areas. The rest of our house is fine. So if we forced installation went isn't the whole house damaged. It was a poor lot of flooring. All we want is 10 boxes to fix the damage. Maybe your inspector didn't show all the damage. He only focused on a certain area. Do the right thing and stand behind your product.I have reported this in social media and every website that sells this flooring. I will continue to do so, til this matter is resolved.

Extremely dissatisfied

Bought 3700.00 of Shaw matrix lvp.It is anything but luxury. 1 yr out and it is separating, splitting and cracking in high traffic areas. Contacted BBB and Shaw sent out a bias inspector that said it was our fault,we forced the boards together. Ok let me get this straight, I paid for the floor and I'm going to forcibly break the boards, but only in certain areas. Because I just love wasting money. I obviously got a bad lot of floor and I just want some replacement boxes to fix it, is that too much to ask for something with a supposedly 30 yr Warranty. What a joke company. I'm not giving in, I want my replacement boxes.

Horrible Product, Horrible Business Practices

We purchased Shaw Repel laminate flooring from a local interior design business in 2020. The flooring has a Repel water resistant laminate warranty. We had an installer from the company put in the floor, and we followed the Shaw laminate care guide to care for the floor for the last two years. The floor has numerous bubbles and warped areas. Shaw replaced a portion of the floor in 2021. The floor has continued to warp and bubble since then. Our local company filed a claim, and Shaw sent one of their inspectors out, who concluded without any observed evidence that the floor had "topical moisture damage" and Shaw was not liable to fix or refund the flooring. Shaw did not honor the Repel laminate flooring warranty which states that the floor "will resist damage from moisture due to normal cleaning practices" and "will resist damage from moisture due to spills." Despite following Shaw's care guide and wiping up any extra moisture on the floor immediately, Shaw is refusing to honor its warranty. Shaw insists that we hire an independent certified flooring inspector to give a second opinion. In our area, the closest inspector is over 150 miles away and we received a quote from him that it would cost over $700 for an inspection. We are unable to afford this risk as this time, and furthermore, we do not believe a second opinion at our expense should be the only next step here. Shaw is exhibiting extremely shady business practices with this purchase by refusing to honor its warranty, and we are extremely disappointed and will highly discourage anyone we know from purchasing any Shaw laminate. We are unbelievably frustrated by this entire experience and see that Shaw cares only about its bottom line and not honoring any sort of warranties it claims to have. For Shaw's reference, the claim is #451935.

You never called me at a predetermined appointment time!!!

I was referred to your floor department about area rugs but this department is closed at my 2:10 pm Pacific Standard Time . What is going on with Shaws customer Service? I will let the media know about your terrible customer service! This company is definitely no match to Mohawk!

Poor product

Nothing has happened. I have sent Menards an email now too.

I have not heard anything. Floor is so bad you can't walk on it barefoot. Our great grandson isn't going to be able to crawl or walk on it.

It is a trip hazard too. Just makes me sick.

Flooring is not as advertised. It was advertised as ADA. Husband got a power wheelchair from the VA and within 3 months our new Luxury Vinyl Laminate Flooring was history. Shaw's excuse , it wasn't put down right. Thanks Shaw.

Bad product and they don't honor their warranty.

Nothing from Shaw or Menards. Good thing my handicapped Army Veteran husband is in a wheelchair now because he wouldn't be able to walk across this floor with his walker.

Floor had almost been down two years. Thanks Shaw.

The company says there is nothing wrong with their product. I don't agree. Floor didn't last five months.

Original review May 03, 2022
I purchased Shaw Timberidge Honey Walnut Vinyl Laminate Flooring in January 2021 as we were doing remodeling for my husband who is handicapped. It showed and was sold as being ADA which I told salesperson was a requirement as my husband who is a veteran would be getting a powerchair from the VA in the near future. They chair arrived a couple months later and within 3 months the floor start getting wavy and it started peeling. I filed a complaint which was like going through a divorce. You can't talk to a human. A form has to be filled out and sent to Menards Corp office then it is forwarded to Shaw and it's reversed when a decision is made. The decision was for a Certified Independent Flooring Inspector to come look at the floor which he did. His decision was the floor was put down wrong, the subfloor wasn't level, and there was too much furniture on it. You have to be kidding me! The flooring was put down by a company that does this daily. The flooring replaced Shaw flooring and there was no problem with it. I didn't know you could have too much furniture. The house was built 1978 by my husband and I. We told the inspector what the flooring that came up so the Timberidge could go down. He said flooring should have been glued down. Wish someone would have told us this, you know like putting it on the box, or in their advertisements, or by a salesperson. When it said ADA I assumed it was what I should buy as did the salesperson in two stores. Shaw said the floating flooring can't be used with a powerchair without being glued down. I think that should be a disclaimer on their advertisement to tell people that before they invest thousands of dollars in their product. The salespersons weren't aware of it either nor was the installer. I was told I should have read the warranty that is online. Everyone should know too that they are buying waterproof flooring that can't be wet mopped. I haven't figured how it can be sold as waterproof. I have a couple pictures of bad places and there are lots of them. I didn't want anyone thinking I was complaining about one place. It's awful.

Terrible Product

I purchased Shaw Timberidge in Honey Walnut in January of 2021 at Menards. The box and endcap had the ADA symbol on this product and it was sold to me as being durable for my husband's wheelchair he would be receiving in the near future. It is not and they won't warranty it. They say you can't use a powerchair on the floor. The floor is splitting and peeling. I filed a complaint and Shaw sent an Independent Certified Floor Inspector. He said the floor was not put down right, floor was uneven, and we had too much furniture on it. Floor was put down by a reputable home builder. Floor replaced Shaw flooring that was there for 10 years with no problem. I didn't know you could only have so much furniture in your house. We were told we could get our own inspector but they had to be Certified and there are only a few around and they aren't going to go against Shaw. The only way this flooring can be warranted if using a powerchair is if it's glued down. It seems this should be printed on the box. That's something you really need to know. I asked where it says that and was told it was online and I should have read it. When the flooring was put down it looked like it had a film on it that just wouldn't come off. I called and was told to use vinegar. It looked better but was still not clean looking. I called again and the woman got all excited when I told her I used vinegar. She said you can't do that and acted like she didn't believe me when I told her I was told that by someone at that number. She said use ZEP. Floor never looks clean and shows every spot. I have always bought Shaw flooring whenever there is any need for it in my house which was built in 1978. NO MORE! $6300 to install and $2275 in flooring down the drain.

Horrible

These floors show every footprint and toe print. Even while wearing socks. They scratch VERY easily. Awful.

Shaw guarantee is a hoax

We starting seeing issues with our flooring 6 months after purchase. Since then, the flooring is rapidly declining and showing more areas of damage. The stain and finish are wearing off several planks throughout the house. The filler has chipped out of the knot holes in a few other planks. I have filed a claim with Shaw. Shaw is willing to replace one plank due to manufacturing defect. Im very disappointed and am looking to have the floor removed and replaced.

Terrible made Flooring !!

Shaw Luxury vinyl flooring is terrible do not waste your money!! Our floors are cracking, breaking off and coming apart. I've tried for over a year now for someone to help us. Lowe's sends me to Shaw flooring, Shaw sends me back to Lowe's nobody wants to admit that the floor is awful and its the manufacturing fault. We had a contractor put these floors down in three rooms and when he went back to try to buy more to replace them Lowe's discontinued the Shaw Asheville Pine last year. So I'm stuck looking at crack flooring , flooring breaking off ..I can only put some many throw rugs down to try to hide it which I shouldn't have to do with flooring only 2 years old. Save your money and don't purchase Shaw flooring!!

Replaced flooring 3 different times

Beware do not buy their luxury vinyl plank flooring there is nothing luxurious about it unless you like wasting your money. They dont stand behind their product guy came and looked at our floor and our claim was denied even though we have replaced 3 times. Product sucks do not buy and it leaves foot prints cant keep clean. Shaw flooring is the worst flooring ever.

Dissatified with Shaw vinyl plankling

After 2 years, vinyl planking started to exhibit gouging and vinyl surface started to lift off only in areas of travel. A Shaw Representative said that it is our fault for the defect. We should not have pets and we should use felt pads on furniture. First, we have never had a pet and we only use felt pads, plus we never wear shoes. Just goes to show that Shaw does not care about the customer. That's why they are never going to be the top in their industry. Plus we never never wear shoes in the hous

Floors are splitting and falling apart

My Shaw flooring is splitting and falling apart. They have been very hard to get anybody to talk to and did nothing but deny my claim for weak reasons. Could not be more displeased and disgusted with them. Would not recommend their product to anyone.

Very poor quality. Purchased because old Berber held up for 20 years with children & cats. New Berber had pulled places within 90 days. No warranty or advice whether to glue our cut pulls.

No disclosure that carpet is not acceptable if pets are in house. Asked merchant what to do. Was told that she would contact Shaw and that they would advise, no response received.

Unhappy with “luxury” vinyl floor

I purchased a new home. When picking the floor, this was my only choice. They said it is soft to walk on, water resistant and would not scratch. I said I have a cat, and they said oh no problem. Well needless to say wrong. It has scratches. I even had a Shaw representative come early on to see if there should have been a treatment. His answer no. Then he proceeded to tell me that I was finding scratches because I was looking for them and the floor look great. It is like when you buy a new car, as soon as you drive off the lot you get a scratch. I should have told to go look at my new car in the garage and find one! That made me mad. I also noticed the morning before he came that I had my back door open and the sun was coming in. A whole area raised up. His response. You knew when you installed it that you could not have direct sun on it! I'm like no I did not install it. So during the morning I can't open the back door and in the afternoon the front door. Now 2 of the planks are coming out. He was going to send me some extra. That was 2 years ago. I also have one that is splitting down the middle in another room. I seriously thought when you are thinking hardware it would not be this stuff!!! It is not even, and I know where every plank starts and ends. I am very disappointed in the quality.
