Scooterdepot - 2014 Roketa Mc-54-250b Scooter Review from Hayward, Minnesota

I purchased a scooter from scooter depo and got the wrong one different model and all they tell me it's the replacement to the one i order I told them I didn't want this one as it was not even the same color as what I wanted. Also the model was a 2014. And it's 2016 so I was not happy they tell me I will get a 1 yr warranty and that's all they can do and since then the starter button failed and it has no kick start back up as it's a 250cc

Scooterdepot is a Horrible and terrible company

they sold me a scooter and give me a funny document and i have been trying for so long now years, just to get them to give me the correct documents for the scooter they sold to me, so i can take it to my DMV to enable to use the scooter. now it seem like they are out of business or change their name. if any one no how i can find them or the business name they are using, please send me their name, address and current phone number to nandvcare@***.com. I will be very very happy to join any class action lawsuit against scooterdepot.us thanks Vera

Not Good

I bought My scooter brand new in Aug 2014.. It Came here Broken I paid for Assembly ,not knowing i had to dis assemble it to get under the seat to connect the battery because the lock on the seat was broken. After i got to the battery and riding it for 2 days , the cv belt broke, then the starter cable broke the starter switches broke plus i had a defected battery i called support everyday all day.they would not replace my parts.i ha to replace all parts myself. I'm not a mechanic ,so i had to take it to a shop . every time i replace a part another original part breaks. i was told they can't replace because everything was working before they shipped it. i paid close to $3000.00 for the scooter, assemble, and shipping. The Body Looked Great The Parts That Made It Run Was Trash. It seem like they took out of a junkyard. again it arrive to me Aug 2014. i been only able to ride it about 6 times from 2014-****.its sitting in my garage now broke.i have spend $1500.00 in parts, repair, and labor.tech support, and sells was not good to me at all. My sister and others wanted one ,but after seeing all i went threw and still going threw with it ,they say they rather invest in a skateboard .I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS COMPANY.they Lied about everything, they even say "let me get your name and number and ill call you back". Im still waiting for the call after 2 years. i left so many messages until voice box was full .. My bike from them was and still is the only bike in my city in this model ,,i wanted to show it off riding it.. but now i can only show it off sitting in the backyard or a museum because until i come up with more money to fix parts that suppose to be working on arrival it won't move.. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE unless you are rich and has money to throw away..and if you are, buy my scooter you will get a better deal because i had replace it with better parts on the scooter then they will sell on the bike .Its Not running , but hey it will be the same as buying from them but cheaper and better

Not really pissed

I purchased 2 scooters from scooter depot in 2013. They came in metal crates only partially assembled (as expected) just as they are shipped from China. The purchaser is not buying from a dealer where they assemble the bike and test everything, you take on this responsibility. I'm handy with tools so I was able to assemble both in 3-4 hours and all of the electronics worked fine. I had to tune the carburetors and adjust the idle, but again, this was expected. Don't buy from them if you expect to roll it off the delivery truck and go for a cruise, you need to (or need someone) to do this work. Also make sure to tighten all bolts, even the ones that should be torqued down. I don't trust the assembly work of Chinese children. As of today, I'm perfectly happy and both scooters are running fine. One has 2500 kilometers and the other has 1700. As for the title and state registration: they provided a certificate of origin (from China) with VIN numbers. I was able to take these to the DMV and apply for a new title no issues. One problem is that the insurance companies can't decipher the VIN numbers or brands, so they insured them with a generic rate. Cheers.

Trike Scooter Review

I just bought a trike from scooter depot and I just found out they went out of business! Is there any way to get my money back??

Seems like people would know better by now

Given the many hundreds of horrible reviews as well as the many horror stories available on various scooter forums on the internet, seems like people would know better to buy from this company by now. If your smart enough to find web-sites like these to post complaints, then you should be smart enough to do a little home-work before purchasing a mail-order motor-scooter, ya know? For future reference, go buy a Honda, Yamaha, Sym, Kymco, or a Genuine. Or, if you're on a budget and absolutely must buy a generic Chinese scooter , go get one from a LOCAL dealer!!

It's cheap for a reason

We were excited to get our MC H150 T24 scooter. I should have know something was up when the vehicle title and cert of origin didn't match up. Good thing I'm a mechanic too, as many parts were miss routed hoses, not fastened fittings and parts, or missing bolts/screws altogether. There was even a broken tap left in one fitting. Two parts required welding. The supplied battery didn't even fit the battery box. The box had to be modified for the battery to fit. The last straw was a hose - still not exactly sure what it does, caught fire!!! Three times!! I mean actual flame. The first time - at 28 total miles, 2nd at 44, and today at 48 total miles on the scooter. Glad I was driving it was around the block a few times just to verify the "repair". High temp aircraft quality hose didn't make a difference. The hose appears to feed a pressure sensor from the cylinder head. I'm still trying to get my money back or reach an agreement. I will not be repeating this experience of buying something like this, sight unseen, without a physical person I can point too. Please consider that in you decision.

Internet Fraud towards Senior Citizens

After viewing their site ...they targeted me with senior discounts and then shipped used and or damaged defective three wheeler and dodged my phone calls and lied directly to Attorney General in California and Texas...What else can be done ? Reported them to Internet fraud Division and BBB. It always seems to go in favor of who has the most money for attorneys. The company also diverts into other registered companies and likes to keep you constantly losing ordered parts and waiting until warranty runs out...in my case. The operation is a smooth and professional group of bait and switch operators and have many complaints against them throughout the United States. It is not hard to find many dissatisfied customers from Sunny Motors to Scooter Depot...they will lie and wear you out...have many emails on file that I have kept if class action lawsuits would come to pass.

Warranty Fraud/Scam

Scooterdepot.us used an umbrella company to switch names and void their warranty to spite having the same owners. They sell substandard mopeds. They have gone so far as to lie by claiming they did ship parts covered by warranty but were returned. They could not provide verification and continued to lie until the warranty expired, which they acknowledged it expired and then used the company switching names to claim that had voided the warranty last year thus contradicting themselves repeatedly. This video shows the typical quality of what they sell and will not cover with the warranty. I think the best line to come from them is that riding the moped voided the warranty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1X0rbhw3j5U

Lemon scooter from scooter depot.

I purchased a 50 cc scooter from scooter depot about a month ago and haven't been able to get it started. I am not a very mechanically minded person but it never said I needed to be in order to get this thing started. I called their tech department about four times and they weren't much help, they just kept telling me the same thing, make sure there is a vacuum from the gas line into the engine. Did everything they told me to do and still nothing. Called customer service to inquire as to what to do and they said they could connect me to a mechanic in my area, but in my mind I just dropped about $1000 on this thing I don't want to drop anymore just to start it. Then I said I want to return it and they said they don't take returns. So am I to understand that I am out a grand? Very sketchy company. I just want my money back.

Buyer Beware

Below is an invoice that I received from Sunny Sports / Scooter Depot. It does not have any terms and conditions or return policy on the invoice. A day after I placed the order I called back and found out that the order would not be shipped for over a week so I cancelled the order. This is what I received from them. When Barclay Credit Card called then to intervene Sunny Sport insisted they had not connection with Scooter Depot. This is obviously not true May 28, 2013 RE: Cancellation of Order # 10002**** As per our conversation earlier today, you have decided to cancel your order with our company because the scooter was for your son and he didn’t want to wait a week to receive the scooter. Within the terms and conditions that were agreed to upon original purchase you are subject to a cancellation fee, and the breakdown of the cancellation fee is as follows: (You can also review these terms and conditions on your original order, or on our website at www.scooterdepot.com under the customer service link.) 1) If you have cancelled the order within the first 24 hours of order, or if the item has not shipped you will be subject to a $175 cancellation fee and an addntl $200 cancellation fee for assembled units. 2) If the item has been shipped, you are subject to a 30% restock fee and all shipping costs. (You can also review these terms and conditions on your original order, or on our website at www.scooterdepot.com under the customer service link.) Your refund was calculated as follows: UNIT PRICE $768.00 x 30% = $230.40 SHIPPING COSTS: $339.00 TOTAL PRICE PAID $1107.00 – 230.40 – 339.00 = $537.60

SCOOTER DEPOT SUBJECT TO CLASS ACTION

This Chino, CA based company has over 230 registered/filed complaints with the California BBB...Details range from most all scooters being damaged from careless shipping or items are shipped out damaged from their warehouse which constitutes fraud...Other complaints involve wheels falling off at high speeds, speedometers & odometers failing, dead batteries, failed starters & staters, mirrors cracking off within days, rebuild of engines, failed starts...u name it...just about anything & everything that can go wrong with a simple machine such as a scooter seems to occur with a scooterdepot.us machine... This company has been designed to bait & switch customers & fall back on sending parts that don't exist or they can't get and then charging customers shipping/restocking fees IF one is able to get thru to anybody at this shell of a scam operation...DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WHATSOEVER WITH THIS COMPANY>>>DO NOT!!!!! Class actions suits are in motion to shut this operatin down for good & make consumers whole...

FRAUDULANT BUSINESS

I purchased a dune buggy for my Daughter. When it arrived, it was too small. The rep would not refund nor exchange the product totalling 987.00 due to having a ALL SALES FINAL policy in the CUSTOMER SERVICE TAB!! Nowhere else does it state all sales final...HUH? So I am out almost 1,000 with a dune buggy that my daughter can not even fit into...PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, ALSO CUSTOMER SERVICE REP "LISA" (Escalation point), very hateful and degrading and WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU AT ALL!!!!! This Company has no "Customer" Service and should have their "business" license taken AWAY!!!

DON'T BUY FROM SCOOTERDEPOT.US

I bought the MC_SL22A from scooterdepot.us. I've had it for about 2 months now and have only rode it about 5 times. I've had electrical harnesses not connected causing the stator not to charge my battery, I've had to replace the fuel filter and I have had to replace my clutch twice. It has been in the shop 5 times now in 2 months. I ride it for about 2 -3 days then back to the shop it goes. It's in the shop now for the 6th time to have the variator replaced and the rod that it mounts on has jammed in the engine and needs an overhaul to fix it. Everything is falling apart 1 day at a time. DO NOT BUT ANYTHING FROM THESE CROOKS!!! There needs to be some legal consequences they need to face selling junk.

DO NOT BUY from Scooter Depot

I've had my bad experience with this company not too long ago. The order was placed by phone with a person named "Anna". Gave her my banking account Friday afternoon, she said the scooter would be ready for Will Call by Saturday morning since they are so close to me and I did not want to pay extra charge for shipping. They never send me order confirmation (I've provided "Anna" my email and other contact info), never called. The weekend went by, still no contact from them so I called. I must've gotten 4 different people who got on the phone and tossed me around like beach ball at the baseball park - no one was able to help me!? Patiently, I tried again and again, and got the same result - no one knows what the heck I'm talking about. So, I've sent an email to their main address to please cancel my order. 5 days later, they charged the scooter I never received on my banking account. It took me many phone calls and several trips to my local bank branch to clear up the matter and finally got it resolved. My bank filed the complaint against their bank and I have my money back. So much trouble for such a little matter and I am totally PISSED OFF! Take my word for it - DO NOT BUY from Scooter Depot. I hope karma will take care of these people who have screwed other consumers out of their hard earn money. Honestly, I don't know why the BBB have yet to shut down this place...

Scooter depot manager lied about reimbersement

I purchased a new 150cc scooter ( 80 % assembled ) and it was missing speedo gear and wheel spacer and electric start wouldnt work. I called and received wheel spacer and starter relay and was assured speedometer would work once spacer was installed. after installing "warranty parts" speedometer still wouldnt work nor would electric start. I was told to look for "certified repair shop" and as long as necessary repairs were defect in parts or workmanship and not something I had "overlooked" all cost would be covered except "parts" and they would ship what it needed. The cost of repairs would be "credited" back to card I made purchase with if I sent the "repair bill." After 3 weeks I was finally able to pick up the scooter and paid $150 labor to Motosushi Cycles. I was finally ready to ride the new scooter to work and start saving money on gas! When I called Scooter Depot to find out how to get my debit card "credited" for my cost.. I was told "we don"t cover labor and nobody there would have told me to send repair bill" I have spent $1000 for scooter ( delivered ) and $150 in repairs and it still has 0 miles on it. I rode it around town to "break it in" and battery went dead and once again kick start was my only option. I took battery out and fully charged it for the second time and took it to Auto Zone to have it tested. It has a "dead cell" and wont hold a charge. Scooter now has 30 miles on it so I called Scooter Depot to ask for a replacement battery since one came with it was "defective" and was told "we don't cover batteries" UGH! I guess that gives them permission to sent cheap and defective batteries with new scooters huh? I am out another $94 for a battery and now the drive belt is "slapping" transmission housing leaving black marks on bottom of housing so I can plan on that breaking soon! Of course I'm sure "they won't cover belts" either. I strongly recommend YOU DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH SCOOTER DEPOT!!! you won't save any money on gas / will be out of hundreds of $ in repairs / and will spend your days off work... working on the scooter. SUMMER IS TOO SHORT FOR THIS *** and the scooter is FOR SALE while I can still get some of my money back! I could have bought a street bike for what I have spent on this piece of junk!!!
