Had a good experience

Bought a BAE 500 series rack from them on Reverb.com. It shipped earlier than promised direct from BAE. Packing was perfect. Price from Scitscat was lower than other vendors. They followed up with a friendly email, so, no complaints. This was in December 2020.

Absolutely Horrible Store & People - Avoid At All Costs

When trying to communicate with them on eBay about a MAKE AN OFFER, they WENT NUTS for no reason and seem, sadly, to be mentally unstable. They claimed that a $1200 offer on a $1299 Avedis E27 is "below dealer cost" (it's not) and that their fees were much higher than they are. Then they accused me of committing libel, went on a delusion rant about lawyers, and then threatened me with a letter to the BAR association... HUH??? Judge for yourself these whack-o's and then AVOID them! Me: EBAY TAKES 6% of pro audio items from a registered commercial store such as yours. PAYPAL TAKES 2.9% + 30 cents from an account such as yours. Shipping in the U.S. on this item can be achieved in a USPS Medium Flat Rate Box for $13.95. ScitScat: Your pricing is completely off base. Ebay takes 10% of the sale, which is $125. PayPal takes 5%, another $60. Shipping is $25 in the US with Signature Confirmation and Insurance. So, yes, you are way off. Me: Sorry to say that's just not true. The last E27 I bought new on eBay was $999. (Check it out by searching for completed orders.) This kind of "the customer is stupid" approach from you is probably why you have 3 negative reputation scores in just the last month. No more communication from you is necessary. ScitScat: Companies/Businesses do not sell below dealer cost, that's bad business. For you to expect it or even have to engage in multiple statements, does not make you right. We sell to make money, and if there's no money to be made, we will not transact business. If we could make money by doing a deal with you, we would, but you have no idea what true cost is. You have a right to make a living and our staff has that right as well. Moreover, your continued antagonizations are proof that you don't care either. Your statements below also false, bordering on libel. Me: I would LOVE... to see you sue me for LIBEL! GO FOR IT! ScitScat: Honesty and integrity are certainly lacking in your thought process. Again, we want to do business, nothing else, feel free to carry on with your exploded ego. Lawyer should never defend himself! Growing up in a family of lawyers, hear that a lot, perhaps you should get back to music and listen to truth, but... have a nice day, we want no ill will, nor want to give any. Me: I am reporting you. We will let EBay decide who the antagonizer is. ScitScat: Have a nice day, they'll say you. Me: Sir, you have continued to send several harassing and insulting e-mails to me LONG after I informed you that no further communication from you is necessary. Your e-mails are not about the business of selling an E27; instead, they have devolved into nothing but insults. ScitScat: Your continued tirade, attacks, provocations, name calling, harassment will be duly noted in the letter written to the State Bar Association, throwing around weight, will certainly be handled by them as well as eBay.We will speak with eBay concerning your defamation, attacks, and insults as well as threats of committing libel against our company. They will read both of our words and find in our favor. You've tried to use your power to do wrong, we've tried to help, it's a simple case of your ego being too big for your britches as they say.

Great service Fast Shipping

Ordered Elixer Acoustic Guitar strings . It was super fast shipping and packaged well. 5+. Stars. Plus the best prices on the item. I did a lot of shopping around and I always look for Free Shipping also, so it was a No brainier. I would not hesitate to order again from this music store. I was checking on their other items and Looks like they have very competitive prices on most of their items.. I will be doing some more shopping real soon. I'm letting my buddies know of this music store,were always looking for the best prices on musical items plus the fast shipping and Free shipping is a Big Plus

ScitScat Music is a great company and a great friend to musicians

I have bought multiple items from Scitscat over the past several years, as have many people I know in our local area, South Florida. Never had a problem of any kind with Scott or Sean Katz, and knowing them personally, I believe they are very ethical and fair in their business and personal relationships. Blaming them for circumstances out of their control as a seller and trying to ruin their business reputation is simply childish, and, in my opinion, malicious libel. I have heard and seen Scott on the phone at all hours trying to help clients out, over and above what any average business owner would do. From tech support, to guidance through purchases, advice on products and even to giving away items just to keep certain scamming "customers" happy, he has always been honest and fair in my experience. So many nasty little scammers out there try to steal from little family-owned businesses, and to hold them hostage to ebay ratings and similar criteria that severely impact their businesses...and then have the nerve to take it public and hurt the little guys even more...obviously just a bunch of cyber bullies with nothing better to do than try to hurt someone out of spite. I personally don't believe a word of these negative reviews, and certainly would not credit them without hearing all sides of the story.

Sean Katz and Scott Katz run a shady business call Scit Scat Music (on ebay too)

Scott Katz and his son Sean Katz are the *** of the earth in the pro audio field. I've come across numerous complaints about their ebay store scit scat music and they all say the same thing. That they were screwed over and that Scott and Sean Katz always either blame the customer or try to extort the customer into leaving good comments. They are a corrupt and unprofessional business. Rudest Support I've ever dealt with! Refused to help.

12345 New Blue Microphones Spark Digital Lightning USB Condenser Microphone Mic I would seriously question using this seller again. It took two weeks for my item to arrive. Although the seller shipped the item promptly, the post office sent the item all over the country, resulting in it taking so long. While this is out of the seller's control, where I take issue is with the seller's poor attitude towards me when I asked them to follow up with the post office. I was understandably frustrated, and the seller's response was to be rude to me, telling me it is not their fault and that it is not their problem. The number one rule in online shopping is that it is the seller's problem until their customer receives the item ordered, regardless of the ineptitude of the carrier used. I didn't choose the shipping service, the seller did, and perhaps the seller should use better judgement when choosing a shipping service in the future. Same Exact Awful Experience with Scit Scat Music of Florida

I had the same exact thing happen to me and feel very sorry for your situation. The owner of the store Scot Katz is very shady. As soon as you challenge him or inform that their is a problem. He immediately goes on the offensive and begins threatening you as the customer. The guy has got real issues. He must think he's god or something. Never have I ever come across such an amateur when it comes to how to treating customers with courtesy and respect. Especially when considering that my particular issue had such an easy fix. But just the fact that I was honest and gave my opinion sent Scott Katz on a war path. Poor guy hasn't a clue on how to run a business or sell like a pro. Scit Scat Music AKA ebay seller scitscat is a shameful and shady business operation. Similar problems. Dreadful company!

Similar problems. Dreadful company! This is my experience: 1. Double sold a guitar I had already purchased so had to wait for new stock. 2. They continued to list the guitar on eBay as being in stock - it wasn't! 3. To be fair they paid extra for delivery to expedite the guitar when it finally came in from their suppliers but it got held up at customs. I don't blame them for that but if they hadn't double sold the guitar in the first place it wouldn't have been late. As a result, a little girl was let down at Christmas. 4. They promised to write 'Christmas Gift' on the packaging to help shift it though - they didn't! 5. They promised at point of sale that they could swap metal strings for nylon. The guitar arrived with metal strings and it turns out it's not possible anyway so clearly they don't know their business. Either that or they told me lies to grab a sale. They totally denied that they would swap the strings but I have evidence that they sent the guitar on the understanding that the nylon strings were 'pre-installed'. 6. They promised that if the guitar did not arrive by Christmas they would refund but they didn't. 7. We complained about their performance to date and they said they would refund ONLY if we gave positive feedback. This is feedback extortion. I complained to eBay and they upheld my complaint. 8. This company makes promise after promise and doesn't stick by it and when you challenge them they get rude and they tell lie after lie and then accuse the buyer of lying. They seem to believe that if they say something, it is true, but completely ignore evidence to the contrary - and I have plenty of evidence that states the above points are factually accurate.

Scott Katz Scit Scat Music

This company exhibited extremely unprofessional behavior. Shameful support. A terrible experience altogether. Screwed me payment and shipping. Scot Katz initially pretended like he was wiling to help with a support related issue then cowardly began making lame excuses for not addressing my complaint. Does not belong in a professional marketplace. What should have been a simple and easy fix to a problem turned into a nightmare when this guy started lying and blaming others for his own misleading sales tactics and delivery time frames. I wish I had paid attention to the other complaints about him on the internet as they clearly show he is an immature and mixed up guy.

Amazing

By far the best. Never any issues. Will definitely buy again! They are small business, family run and operated. They respond to all of my emails and questions with never any problems. They ship same-day or next day on the majority of items, unless it is a Special Order of course. I have been shopping here for years, and have always gotten great deals and fantastic items for super cheap! Will definitely tell my friends, and keep on coming back. Great support, great prices, great customer service. What more can you ask for?!?? By far the best music company in the biz.

Scit Scat Music Scammer

Scit Scat music owner Scott Katz offered to sell me a microphone for 117.50 in writing. He then reneged after the point of sale. When asked why he had not refunded the difference in price, he blamed paypal as preventing him from refunding. He did eventually offer me the refund again but also reneged on that offer as well. I sent a money request and encouraged him to honor our agreement which is when he changed his story altogether by stating that ebay told him not to refund me. I called ebay and they denied this and told me he is already red flagged for lashing out at his customers. He did offer to refund but only if I left him feedback. This is called feedback extortion and it is illegal. To top it all off, the package arrived damaged. What a surprise. Now he has resorted to posting my confidential information on internet blogs which is completely illegal considering the transaction was private and the information provided through ebay is confidential. Scott Katz scammed me and is now violating ebay policy on confidentiality in addition to breaking the law. The list goes on with this guy Scott Katz. He is a bad apple. Enough said.
