Terrible product & customer service

Very poor experience we had several issues with contractors that were hired not getting paid on time. Also paid contractors that didn't finish the job completely. Many mistakes made as hired to be a general contractor. Would I ever use this company again absolutely not.

Black mold

We bought this house in August of 2013 and upgraded the siding, windows, carpet and the roof. in January of 2021 we started to see some black mold in the master bath and contacted the dealer and we finally heard back after many calls was September of 2021. They told us the warranty is out on the roof, that we will have to fix it ourselves. I would not recommend any upgrades on their houses. I would not recommend these houses to anyone.

Middle of the house is sinking

There is no center beam in the middle of the house. The beams are 4 feet off the center. So there is no support in the middle of the house and the house Is splitting in half.

House is junk

Bought schult "modular home" in 2000. We were young and needed a home. The dealer got us the loan, 8.75%. The home had problems from the start. I am pretty good handyman, but after all the problems and money to fix I realize I should have just bought a regular house. 20 years later, I probably have replaced half of the building materials in this home. The only thing that really lasted was the hot water tank- it lasted 18 years....about twice as long as any of the original plumbing fixtures. Anyone thinking of buying one of these- don't do it

Tread carefully

almost half of my electric in doublewide is out. I purchased this high end expensive modular home so I wouldn't have these problems...….....Not.

Long lasting cover up

I have lived in my schultz home know for 15 years and for the most part things have been good mostly because i spent extra for the up grades. there are some small things that have worn over time but time is the key word, things wear out, but just know to my surprise when I discovered the source of a water leak under my home I WAS VERY FU&&&&& MUCH NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! some one or some persons when running wires some how drilled *** through the drain pipe for my shower and ran the the wire through the pipe then instead of fixing it the plugged the holes with some type of putty . The fix lasted them 15 years not bad but any and all including those in quality control responsible for letting this happen should have to come and fix it then let me kick them all in the balls as they are getting THEIR FU&&&&&!!!!!! ASS!!!!!!! FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SAY WHAT THE FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Poor quality floor covering, doors, shingles, windows and siding

All of the material is cheap quality. The shingles are only 10 years old and I have to replace since the roof leaks. Three window seals have burst so had to replace. All of the door handles broke off and had to be replaced. All of the interior doors separated. All 4 sinks rusted out and had to be replace after only 6 years. Both screen doors had to be replaced. The carpet was so cheap it lasted only 5 years. The shingle replacement will be $8100. The windows and doors will set me back another $6000. The ceiling we discovered had NEVER been painted. The material quality is horribly poor. Do NOT buy a Schult manufactured home. You will pay twice. No re-sale value and you will pay half what it cost you just to upgrade as the material wears out.

Spot swelling over the whole floor. around 3 to 4 " in size

I have a 25 year old Schultz home. The Harvest Model The flooring has swelled in spots and bands and chunks. it has swelled a peak of 1/2" in spots. This is through out the home. I would like to know what is happening and what has to be done. It started about 3 years ago. there was a few then it seemed to spread. There is also what seems like bands. In some spots there is a ridge across the flooring joists. I would like to know what is happening and what if anything can be done about it. When I brought the home three years ago it had no problem.

Windows, doors , cracks and exterior walls bowing out

We have a 2012 manor hill and from day one the front door won’t shut correct . We have had replaced 2x from warranty and now the exterior wall is bowing out where the front door . It’s bowing from one side of the eve to the other eve. The inside walls are peeling away from the sheet rock. So many problems from get go and it’s never been properly addressed bc of the company we bought from or the Clayton corporate in nc.

Not bad..

We have a 2003 double wide, we purchased it brand new. There was a roof problem in the beginning, but was taken care of promptly. Only two complaints that i have are 1 the storage is very minimal for a 4 bedroom home. 2 the cabinets are so cheap i cannot find replacement parts for them. We are wanting to put our home on the market and wr just need to fix a few things. Thank You

4 year old Schulte modular home

From the beginning we have had various issues. Poorly built cabinets with crooked doors and gaps, exterior wall warped and siding came off, floors creak like an old barn, water leaks on PEX junctions, windows leak, interior doors are so poorly installed there are gaps of 5/8 ths or more. *** quality modular home.

Floor buckling in different rooms.

After purchasing my home less than a year later my floors started buckling. Manufacturer sent someone out. The person that came out put u bolts under my house then had the nerve to tell me if it happens again crawl under the house and turn the bolts. I'm not crawling under no house. Manufacturer said if I have any more problems out of my floors just let them know and they will fix it. Well it happened again now its worse than before. I complained again to the manufacturer. They sent someone out to fix my floor. The man that came out said that he couldn't fix my floor because the problem with my floor is beyond his expertise. The man said that he noticed that the floor joist under my house is off and that he was going to put in a work order. Spoke to this man a week later now he is telling me that the manufacturer is saying that my pre-existing problem with my floors is out of warranty.

Schult Homes - Legacy Plus Mobile Home Review

I am writing to you about your comment on Schult Homes. You stated about your FURNACE running constantly & your bill being so high! We also have a Schult home & had same problem, we decided to put in NEW PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTAT & that fixed the problem for heat & cooling issues. We have ceiling & roof damage due to NONE OF THE 5 ROOF VENTS BEING SEALED OFF!!! How often are people on their roof to notice not sealed?? Assumed it was done at factory.....wasnt done! So every Shyly Home Owner CHECK THAT ALL YOUR ROOF VENTS ARE SEALED!!!!! Also tubs, shoer & sinks are poor quality, cannot get clean, stains on them that are normal WILL NOT COME OFF!! There is a dip down the middle of our home under the carpet, unsure why that is. Also, the LAMINATED OAK WINDOW SILLS & LAMINATED OAK TRIM & CABINETS are peeling or have already peeled off.....we were told it was OAK NOT LAMINATED OAK! WHO CAN WE CONTACT "IN CHARGE" OF SCHULT HOMES????
