Incorrect settlement

i bought some foods at safeway. the store is 1639 Dir Amy Doyle (Main:(928)635-**** Rx:(928)635-****637 W. Route 66 Williams A2 86046) the list of glossary i bought is next. SPARKLING ICE SPARKLING ICE MONSTER UL TRA AC 3 QTY GHRDL dark 2 QTY GHIRARDELL mint flavor BAKED GOODS BAGEL BULK ROLL BULK however i did not buy three GHIRARDELL dark chocolates.in fact i bought two dark chocolates. so i request refund of fare of one dark chocolate. i write more information in your stores receipt. Sometimes a person needs to let a good deed be known.

Above and beyond a manager's job description!! Today at your Jackson CA store a Woman came in saying her child was lost. Liz talked to the mom and got the info on the girl she called the police and gave the mom her cellphone her Liz the manger ran all around the parking lot if not for Liz who knows how long it would've taken it was in the 90s and Liz wasnt even out of breath or sweating. I believe something should be done for how she went into action without pausing.

Safeway #3095 in store purchase/return

Please forward to the correct department if this is not the right email address. 7/21/23 walked in and purchased item on the floor shelvings and listed under Gen Merchandise $9.49 on the receipt, total purchase $36.19 7/22/23 tried to return un-opened item ($9.49) with receipt, Olga/customer service denied return but could not provide me with written proof of unacceptable items for return, told me to come back and talk to Cesar/store manager next day 7/23/23 contacted customer service extension at 408 274-**** (tried 2 times at 9:31am and 9:52am) - both times un-answered 7/23/23 contacted 800 283-**** today at 10 am, spoke with Oscar (refused to provide last name) said he will have store manager contact me, told me to refer to website for unreturnable items. This is a walk-in purchase and nothing on the receipt indicated return policy. The item is listed under Gen Merchandise and should be returnable. Thank you for your prompt response to this urgent matter.

Chicken wings

Terrible must of heated or over cook all the time better getcsoneone who knows how to cook this is the last time i visit your store. I called ahead and said they just put them out. They must of been from yesterday. First off someone came in early and purchased the entire pan of potato salad. Then the wings were horrible. They are not cooks and do not know what the heck they are doing. Who hired these folks to work in your deli. They do not know how to cook! 7/15/2023- My name is Beth Montgomery 15 year local here in Estes Park. Two days ago I bought some cod from your seafood dept. for a special dinner with relatives. When we opened up the bag it comes in it didn't smell good, we thought maybe it was just the way the fish might naturally smell. My husband grilled it up and when we all took our first bite, the fish was bad. I tried calling the store asap so they would know and not sell anymore of that cod so no one would get sick. No one answered at 7:30pm. I called first thing in the morning and the woman said to come in with the package as I had already thrown away the receipt to get my money back. I went in today and asked for a manager in the self check-out area. I was directed to a woman named Audre, she acted like I was putting her out, and told me she would give me store credit, I told her I wanted my money back as I had paid in cash, she then opened up the register with attitude and just about threw the money at me. She was so rude, didn't say she was sorry the store sold me bad fish. This is not acceptable for my fellow locals are the tourists in town. I wanted to document this so maybe you could make sure your employees and esp. Audre doesn't continue to treat paying customers this way.

Poor Service

I went to your Store twice to purchase items and finally bought them at Fry's Market Place ( Kroger's) and will do more shopping there. I am 76 going on 77 this year - I just finished 9 weeks or daily cancer radiation. I am a Safeway member and generally shop your 67th Ave Store in Glendale, AZ. I tried to buy Johnsonville Brats and Sara Lee Sausage Rolls which are on sale and I clipped a coupon for. Both items were gone at 8:30 am on Thurs 6/29/23. I stood in line at your customer service desk and finally asked the young lady when I should come back and if you were going to receive the items by Saturday July 1st as I was having people over. She contacted who she said was the manager. She then told me that you receive daily shipments and should have both items by 6:30 am on 6/30/23. I drove to your store again only to buy these items at 6:30 am this morning. Empty shelf and cooler. The meat person said deliveries in the afternoon, but hasn't has Johnsonville Brats for days. Further the Service Desk said rolls come in the afternoon and wasn't sure if you would get more. She stated whoever told me to come at 6:30 am was wrong. I DON'T LIKE BEING LIED TO AND SPENDING GAS MONEY TO DRIVE PER YOUR REQUEST ! I drove 2 miles to Fry's Market Place and both items, to my surprise, were in stock. While I may have paid more, I purchased what I wanted. I spendtime weekly downloading your digital coupons. My cell is 312-636-****. I will do a lot more shopping at Fry's from the pleasant way I was treated. Daryl Scheans

Digital coupon adjustment

I am a loyal customer and shop at Safeway weekly. On 6-08-23 I thought I entered my membership number to get the digital coupons which I clipped at home to redeem. However, after I got home and was checking my receipt I noticed I was charged the regular prices. After I went back to the store and showed the customer service manager the mistakes he said he could not correct the difference & I would need to return everything for a refund. I had already written the price from the ad next to the 6 digital coupons I should have received and $16.42 was the difference I should have received. I would like my refund for the difference. Please advice.

Workers Rights

I started working for Safeway in April. Mid April I came to find out I am pregnant. As of June 18th they let me go because of too many absences. Saying I had six when in actuality I called out twice due to extreme morning sickness and had a doctors note. I really believe I was wrongfully let go and discriminated against due to pregnancy. I am very disappointed with the company.

I was treated badly by your front end Manager..

OMG...I was treated so poorly by your front-end manager at your Everett Broadway Safeway on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 1:00 pm. I had a shopping cart full of groceries I was purchasing. I had placed my cart behind me as I was waiting for a clerk help me to order some sandwich meat from the Deli counter. When done I turned around and my shopping cart was GONE. I walked the whole store looking for my cart. I asked the employees if they had seen it. They told me the front-end manager took it. When I asked her why she took it and where I would be able to find it. She told me she asked around and no one claimed it. I told her I never left the Safeway. She told me she put my cart in the freezer. We started walking to then back of back of the store. Then I asked her again why she took my cart. She turned and said that she was not able to help me. She turned around and walked away. She was so rude to me have never been treated like that in my who life. The Manager did talk to me and she give me a $25 gift card she was very apologetic. Brenda your Cashier attempted to help me but was called off by your front-end Manger. Her name begins with a B. She was awful. I love this Everett Safeway. I know some of the employees by there first name and I consider them friends. Not now I feel very uncomfortable returning. Kind Regards Rose 206 683 ****

Because you guys are *** many people off in Arlington WA.

The Arlington WA Safeway enjoys a monopoly in this town. The problem is we all see that. Prices have gone up immensely, theyre even spending millions on an expansion, and yet theyre hiding baskets from customers, far from the entry door. Corporate says too many have been stolen. Hmmmm. Since theres absolutely ZERO store security, is that not understandable? Safeway, youre *** in the wrong pond here. Get your act together and quit gouging consumers.

Senior discount program

I live in Seattle and every thursday at least 2 Safeway stores have a senior discount of 10% from 9-1PM. I found out today that program will be discontinued. I have been utilizing this program for years and am disappointed as other stores also have programs for seniors but less frequently. It was wonderful that you honored a select group of people who perhaps have budgets, are retired or have limited income for groceries. Considering the other stores that regularly have their programs still, I am encouraged to patronize them now more often. With the U Village Safeway closing and the end of this senior program, the other stores appear more inviting. I hope you will reconsider as it was a kind gesture to us hard working people who appreciate your brands and what you offer.

Safeway offers specials that they DON'T carry. They do this just to get customers in the door. CTIt's ridiculous.

Rampant loss leaders

Wednesday, I was shopping at the Diamond Heights location of Safeway, here in San Francisco. I have been shopping at this location for 50 years. I usually shop on Tuesdays and Fridays, but something on the weekly flyer caught my eye. The ad was for Tims Cascade Dungeness Crab Spice Potato Chips. This free offer was valid only for one day. April 5th. This product was not in stock; nor were any Tims products. A woman standing next to me was looking for the same thing, and when I inquired, she said that she NEVER finds the items that are offered for free. This is more than disturbing. It is NOT okay for them to do this. Not only is it a major disappointment for customers, but it is a very bad business practice. How can they offer something that is not available at the stores? Yes, I understand the concept of loss leaders, but this process is banned in many European countries, AND many states here in the US. The tactic is unfair and unkind. Im not sure what else I can do to emphasize the level of dismay and distrust that this event has caused me. And not just me, I am certain. Unfortunately, things that are advertised for sale starting on Wednesdays, are often not in the store AT ALL.
