Cancellation

SHS got my service from my previous service provider. One month before my previous term was over, I rejected to renew my service with this company. SHS still charged me for the next term and did not respond to my request to discontinue the service.

People should be aware of Safeguard Company

If you are looking for an Alarm system. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They cannot deliver what they promise. In my situation apparently, they upgraded some of their equipment an my alarm stops working, so they scheduled a technician who had no idea of what he was doing, he stated he would be back in two hours leaving a mess in my laundry rooms, well he never did return. This is when I started calling on a daily basis to speak to Supervisor a manager, whoever would get my alarm to stop beeping and to start working. This went on,on,,,My alarm still does not work. They reported nonpayment, so It's affecting my credit score. I will not pay for something that they cannot deliver

Someone called me 6 months ago but never followed up to connect. I am no longer interested in doing business with you. Please clear this invoice and remove me from your mailing list.

Want to cancel my subscription, was told I had to write a letter.

would like to cancel my security system, it has been trouble here lately. false alarms have been a problem getting letters from county for false alarms being fined 75.00 . have already paid the county 75.00 a while back. don't know why these are happening . the repair guy was here a few months ago, everything was fine then the system was acting up, repair guy came again had to be at home and waiting for him,I was told it could of been fixed on the phone call. nobody is ever on the same page with these big companys. Horrible customer service when wanting to cancel service

Both of my parents were diagnosed with terminal illnesses 4 months apart. I've had to move them in with me and sell their home. I contacted the 1-80*-833-**** number and have had nothing but the run around and horrible service. The new owners of their home does not want the service. I have sent them in an email all the information they have requested and still haven't heard back. They always tell me managers are in a meeting. I have called over 20 times and emailed 8 times. I just want to take care of this so I can take care of my parents. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! I'm not one who usually writes bad reviews but I'm fed up! All the person who answers the phone tells me is to pay $2,000 REALLY! My parents are terminally ill and its taking all we have to take care of them Do not deal with this company!!!

Alarm never worked

I paid 2 1/2 yrs on an alarm Ive never could use. I finally told them I would quit paying the bill until fixed. Now my house has been broken in. Insurance did give me a better rate and there not happy about the alarm not working. Ive taken 3 days off to meet an technician that never showed up. At the end of the day they said theres no technician in my area. Lost 3 day wages and no alarm fixed do not use. Ive turned my account over to lawyers along with house insurance.

Worst company ever (Give a -10)

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in terms of product, customer service and billing. They use deceptive practices to get you to sign a five-year contact. Bill you quarterly, allow you to pay monthly, but charge a $10 late fee, because you paid it monthly then turn you into the credit bureau because you didn't pay it quarterly. They are an absolute joke!! I would never recommend them to anyone, ever! If they come to your door, by all mean slam the door immediately in their face! Period! I'm a nice person, so for me to say that they must have treated me horrible, yes they did!! ADT is the best company and I'm sorry I let this worthless company talk me into leaving them to save a few dollars. It cost me so much money to be with this greedy company. I hope they go out of business for the way they treat their customers, which is horrible! I will be telling everyone I know!!

Can not get in touch with anyone from this company!

Very bad customer service. Once they install the system, you are on your own. Now I want cancel service and all of their numbers don't work.

Cancled service 5 months ago and they continued to bill me and hurt my credit. Waa paid always on time until cancled.

Predatory sales tactics and inferior service.

In November of 2018, I was solicited on the phone at home by Denae Lee, who said she was representing Safeguard America. She told me that the company that manufactured my security system equipment is no longer in business. But she told me not to worry because she could provide me a new system at "no charge". She avoided any details of the requirement to sign a new, long term contract. She didn't warn me that if I signed the agreement that there is no escape. I am 87 years old and live alone. My alarm system is essential, and Denae knew that, and she used that in an unethical manner to coerce me into agreeing to the new equipment and signing a contract. I wasn't aware that it was for five years because, at my age, I don't sign long term contracts. It all came to light when roughly a month ago, the fire alarm provided by Safeguard America began to malfunction. It sent a false alarm to my fire department at 4:30 AM, and the fire department came to my house. I called the Safeguard service number, and they told me they would remotely disable the alarm. But it happened the next day, and the fire department came to my house again, and I called Safeguard America again. It went on for ten days and no fewer than TEN FALSE ALARMS at all hours. Finally, after waiting for two weeks, their technician arrived to replace the fire alarm. I will not continue to pay for a faulty security system that cannot be relied upon to protect me and my home, and especially not one sold to me under pretenses. My old system cost less and worked better than the new system, and therefore, the unsolicited call and the product and service I received from Danea Lee was unnecessary, unwarranted, and unwanted. To ensure my safety I have had the Safeguard America system removed and replaced with a reliable alternative with more features at less than half the monthly cost. I have contacted Safeguard America by phone and indicated my displeasure and requested the service terminated. I am also sending a letter of cancellation. Of course, they still want their pound of flesh from this senior citizen and exact me to pay them $2,000 in return for nothing.

After many phone calls and emails and threatening to contact our local TV station that handles consumer complaints they finally sent me a refund check. However, I would never recommend them to anyone in the future.

Received call in October 2019 to do a new bundle with AT&T and save $100 a month on the new bundle which would include an upgrade to the new fiber network and a home security plan. After accepting and their installation of the security system we found out that AT&T fiber was not in our area and they could not complete the deal. So we cancelled the whole contract and asked them to remove the security system. They said they would but never scheduled a tech to remove the security system. Talked with AT&T and was told they were not from their company and they would never recommend Safeguard America since they have their own home security system. After numerous emails and phone calls to the guy who did our contract I finally gave up and started calling the company customer service. it took them 3 months to get someone out to remove the security system and then they said after they checked the equipment in they would issue the refund they had charged us for 2 months. Now we have been waiting for over 3 months for the refund. They are not a reputable company and don't keep their word and misrepresent themselves as AT&T employees. I even had an AT&T employee on the line when talking to them and he asked them for their AT&T employee id and they said they were not allowed to give the number out. He said that is why they have id's and that if he really worked for AT&T he could give it out. The guy hung up after being questioned by a real AT&T customer service rep.
