No cashiers

Three employees fiddling with hangers, pushing carts 3 ft and ignoring the line backed up into the aisle ( at least 35-40 customers) several customers left their carts and walked out. Only one cashier online until a lady called the store and complained and then it still took 10 min. For cashier's to aid in ringing up customers.

Store appearances

Ross @ Liberty, MO this store was a complete wreck, looked like a bomb went off inside. I spoke with a sales associate, She stated there was not enough employees to keep up with the demands of the store. The outside of the store is just as bad, garbage constantly overflowing in each bin, sidewalk filthy. Liberty is a nice community. This is a nice area in the Liberty community. However, Ross dress for less is starting to become very run down, needing management attention.

Issue with return

I reached the corporate office and was told that their policy is that they can't look up a charge by credit card (really?) and if the item went on sale after I bought it and then I return it, I get the sale price. I bought socks for $10, returned them 5 days later (they were too tight), they told me they would only give me $7 without a receipt. I told them that I will not be shopping there in the future.

I visited the Murfeesboro Tn Ross after work with my business attire and small bag 10 inch by 4 inch and nothing else but the map followed around At dressing appropriately all blond ladies are thiefs.

I was followed by merchandise protection at bottom and dress department and she was chatting with me when I wanted to do is buy few things and leave after work. I couldnt leave the store fast enough because I was really bothered. So she needs to know that not all blond ladies are thieve,

Possible religion discrimination by Ross employee

Ross at Rockville Pike, MD. The assistant manager (the lady who looks like in her 40s) did not want to give my sister (an employee at Ross) the employee discount. We have been to other Ross' and we have also been to this Ross where they will manually apply the employee discount even if you don't have your employee ID. But for some reason, this lady who said she was like an assistant manager, said that she cannot manually put in my sisters employee ID because she needs to bring the physical ID instead. At this specific Ross, they have applied my sisters employee ID manually, even without the physical ID. However, this specific lady said that she cannot manually put my sisters ID in for her. My sister is a Muslim (visibly)and I hope this was not discrimination but I will complain that it may have been. I have left a review on Yelp and will continue to make complaints because this may have been discrimination. She also had an attitude while we were at the check out. I would not come here... do better Ross.

Injury at store 1435

Looking through the wall pictures at the rear of the store. When pushing the pictures back on the shelf on the wall, the pictures tilted forward and came crashing down on my head, and some of the glass cut my right ring finger. Upon cashing out for my items, the cashier gave me some paper towels for my finger. Had an mild headache but just took sum Tylenol.

Follow up

Reimbursement that was supposed to be sent but never received Eight phone attempts to CS to resolve didnt happen. Had to email CEO for them to even care. After acknowledging their error they were suppose to send me a check for $116.12 and that was over a month ago They had a major computer glitch and arent taking responsibility

Stickers on shoes

Dear Ross Dress For Less, I finally got my teenage daughter to agree to go shopping at Ross to save money. She picked out some shoes. She was actually happy so that made me happy. When we got home, she noticed the sticker price tags and shoe size sticker on the inside of the shoes. She started picking at the sticker, trying to remove them so slowly as not to tear them into pieces. No luck. She has now spent over an hr trying to remove these stickers .. they look a mess. Shes upset because instead of looking like brand new shoes, they now look 2 yrs old. What a horrible mess to brand new shoes. Why put stickers on the inside of the shoe which the consumer would like to remove. Would you walk around in shoes with price sticker tags inside? So every time u take them off and put them on, u see a sticky mess? This is so upsetting.

Parkville MD location manager racism

I am not sure how to go about making sure your corporate office is reached, but I am hoping this is seen. My son and his friends just had a very unpleasant experience at this Ross location yesterday 6/17 with the store manager. This disturbed me to the point where I felt it nessecary to reach out...I started with a google review which i will copy/paste here - "If I could give negative stars I would. The manager of this store is the definition of racist. My son who looks hispanic and his baseball friends (black) were trying to buy some clothes here. As soon as they walked in they were being followed around by the manager, who then proceeded to tell them to leave. My son asked why, and she said because you are argueing with me. Like what in the actual F?!? It was private propterty and she can do what she wants (in the managers words). THEY LITERALLY DID NOTHING WRONG BUT WERE BEING PROFILED BECAUSE OF THEIR SKIN COLOR. I am a combat veteran (not that it matters but white), and I didn't serve this country for *** racist like these to judge my son and his friends by their skin color. A formal complaint will be brought to corporate about this manager (and I know your name)." I actually am not sure of the name, but she was an older, slightly overweight white lady. From reading other reviews of this store, this doesn't seem like an isolated incident. This isn't the 1960s or 70s, and no one should be treated like this based on purely skin color, especially kids. I hope some sort of action takes place on this manager as it will only continue to give Ross stores a bad repuation based on her poor decisions/actions. Thank you.

Request a new ross store in Statesville NC

I absolutely love Ross. Its my favorite store to shop!!! I live in Statesville NC. There is many buildings in Statesville that have closed down. Most are located near signal hill mall. Across from the mall is the old Kmart building with a huge parking lot thats been empty for several years. That would be a great place for Ross to open in Statesville NC. Please consider this. My closest one is in Mooresville which i dont get to go very often but if there was one in Statesville, il shop there several times a week. Anyway, thank you for being a great store. Bad customer service in your store

Horrible customer service waited in line for 30 min got to the register and needed jewelry so we left the counter with the rep to pick out jewelry and they tell me I had to go back to the end of the line... So I waited another 30 mins to get back to the front so I can be seen she asked me cash or card I told her card then they made me get back behind the line because they said I skipped and then they didn't wanna serve me and I had to get the managers information because they were handling really bad it's store number#458 Angelenina P Edwin Coleman 346-549-****

Exchange policy

I went into the store to return items I bought a week before from the store. They cost $25. They offered me $4. They said without a receipt we have to give you the lowest amount. So I showed them the transaction on my phone. The rep called the manager. The manager tried walking her through the transaction to find it. The rep couldn't figure it out. Marie admitted this to me. So they said they only could give me $4. I bought these from the store a week ago. Still brand new with transaction from bank. I was so annoyed I went and got $23 worth of stuff. I left my items and said just exchange them out. You have the transaction number. Now I'm getting charged with stealing. I would never steal from anyone. If they do this to me then they do this to thousands of people. It isn't right. I was wrong walking out of the store. I wasn't taking $4 for items I bought a week before. Now I have to go to court on 5/15. They will charge me. I don't break laws.

Complain about Associate

The associate since the start had an attitude apparently he didn't like it that i returned around 10 items. He was looking at me and the bag of items with such a face and the way he was talking to me was rude and unprofessional. He did not scanned a belt that didn't have a price, but he passed on the side of other scanned items. I told him you did not scanned the belt, he knew what he did, so he responded it doesn't have a price and what's the price. I said i don't know, so he said if i dont know he can't not find it there was too many items on the ticket. He then asked his manager to help, managertold him to look on the ticket, he was annoyed to look on the ticket and was complaining that he will never find it. Finally he found it but did not tell me the price, i asked him the price and he responded with an attitude. When he gave back the money was in 100 bills, i asked if he can give smaller bills and he said NO again with an attitude. I asked manager to assist me because i didn't like it the attitude of the associate, the manager asked him what's the problem, associate said was the 100 dollars bills...management told him to give smaller bills. I told him it's not just that but in general the way he is treating me. To please can finish the transaction instead of him? Management answer the Associate didn't finish yet and start living the place, i asked then what's the associate name, manager told me " My name is Michael" I told him not your name but the associate. He said again My name is Michael general manager and left. Then associate called the next person i was still counting the money, he start talking and laughing about me with the next person. I will never return to this store and if i find another store to buy whatever i buy in Ross i will. I expended for years a lot of money for this company for my family in my country. But this people treat you this wayNever there's no respect anymore outhere.
