Complaint.

I asked my account to be frozen I was not told about the 7day cancelation policy so I was charge without my authorization I am leaving that gym because of the lack of professionalism of the manager she allows her employees to sleep with each other and clients, goes out and gets Inebriated with her staff causing such a drama filled environment allows her staff to divulged information about customer accounts to their friends

Please read all the reviews:I contacted the Department of Consumer affairs, been getting the runaround by the manager for personal training. They don't have a phone number for a manager for personal training. Got an email telling me to come in a cancel my agreement, of course it has to be on a specific day and between hours. The owners don't want to be contacted. The Department of Consumer Affairs will investigate:It's free, they can be reached by calling 311. The billing is through an ABC company, and they tell you to contact the gym and speak to a manager. After writing to me to cancel my agreement, she claimed I have to pay for a minimum of 1 year For personal training. I had to contact my bank to stop the non authorized payment. Before you even consider getting personal training, read what everyone is writing about this person: Keelin Eichert District Personal Training Manager Retro Fitness Park Slope South, Brooklyn, NY Retro Fitness Glendale, Queens, NY Retro Fitness Forest Hills, Queens, NY She's giving a very bad name to Retro Fitness The last email I got from Keelin Eichert: You are a real cranky person I feel bad for you really I do. I hope you find some peace in your heart you must have a very troubled life to pick on a female significantly younger than you. I don't know if this is built up aggression you have and you find it easy to say mean things, then I sure as hope you feel better about yourself. If my child ever turns out to be like you, I will have failed as a mother. Terrible person you are. Shows a lot about your upbringings -- Thank You, Keelin Eichert District Personal Training Manager Retro Fitness Park Slope South, Brooklyn, NY Retro Fitness Glendale, Queens, NY Retro Fitness Forest Hills, Queens, NY I wrote to her she was incompetent! I'm not mean she's incompetent: would a (good manager) write an email like this to a customer? After Readings the reviews from members from the Retro Fitness she try to manage; I was very polite I will now do what the attorney general tells me: already way too many customers have been abused. She's playing the "Freeze game" for few months, she was hoping I would go to the mediation with her. I just don't understand the Warren DeStefano the ownwer: all I got from her is an agreement with my name, my bank information that I gave them when I became a monthly customer but they have the incorrect address, the wrong email and no Signature for personal training! She's questioning my upbringing: I would really hate and would get very upset if she has a problem with me being gay! Lots of reviews claim she can't be trusted! I just came to New York in January 2021 from Miami Beach: Retro Fitness was a great option with the monthly membership, the staffs and the gym were great, the parking lot is not safe: the gym is on the third floor, on the second floor theres a methadone clinic: at 5 am they hang out in the parking lot. When the gym open, only 1 employee manage the entire gym, I didnt feel safe when that employee would be cleaning, picking up weights Anybody could just come in since no one is at the front desk. Only after 1 pm there would be a manager.

Dissatified

Hi, my name is Alyssa and my fiancés name is Robert Nesse. We both were members at retro. I was a member at Brick in NJ and he was a member at Wall in NJ. We both sent in a letter with our name ID tag # and reason for cancellation back in April of 2021. My membership was cancelled however my fiancés was not. When I called Wall location unhappy to see as to why he was still being charged they told us it had to be certified letter. Howeber when I called prior to sending out the letter they told me all I needed in the letter was a name, ID tag # and reason for cancellation. No one re informed us of certification. When I called to speak with the manager he told me it was in the agreement to cancel it needed to be certified. We are very unhappy that we got charged for all of those months being it is now August of 2021 and would really appreciate any kind of help on this matter and the funds we had to pay when it should have been canceled from being misinformed. Feel free to email me back at this email address. Thank you.

Personal training billing partial refund

Hello, Can someone in corporate please assist me with my matter? I two months ago signed up for personal training at my local retro fitness and recently wanted to switch to the billing to be weekly instead of monthly because I was having a medical procedure that was going to conflict with my finances as I am not working and someone else was helping me pay for my membership. Long story short, my medical procedure ended up happening much sooner than expected and its not covered under my insurance fully so I am left with a big medical bill to pay off in order to continue the rest of my treatments so I asked the gym to please just honor my refund for the month of July the last two weeks since I canceled and and will not attend the last two weeks of personal training of July and the person who handles billing said that that is not possible and I know that its possible to help a loyal customer during certain circumstances. Its $220 I know its not a lot to a big company but for me it is because its money that I can pay toward my treatments. My health is my priority so its something I have to take care of and I want to continue going to the gym and just needed to temporary put my account on hold and just wanted a refund for the remainder of July to help me pay my medical procedure. I already spoke to the manager at my gym and they are not able to assist because they said its a contract which I understand but sometimes emergencies happen and the contract is not written in stone. Its an agreement for sometimes things can be done as a courtesy. I am not asking to cancel my contract I am just asking for help for this month with my billing payment for the remainder 2 weeks of July. Please help me.

Bad service

A negligent personal trainer pushed me into running when I was clearly out of shape and told them so, aggravating a bone spur and tearing a meniscus. In March, the gym closed because of COVID, but the pain continued. After 26 sessions of physical therapy, X-Rays and two MRIs, the osteopathic surgeon says I likely have permanent knee damage. I never had a single knee problem before walking into Retro. My fault for not leaving sooner - agreed, but I'm not the professional here. Then, in September 2020, they started billing me again even though I was my account was on medical hold. No phone call, no e-mail, no text - just a resumption of billing. Why are gyms so sleazy? This post is not an outlet for anger or frustration - my letters to Retro Corporate, BBB and the Dept. of Consumer Affairs will be *that* outlet. I am sending out a warning: caveat emptor. When you join one of these gyms, be very careful because it seems like their mode of operations is to screw you. EAST WINDSOR RETRO FITNESS IS A FRAUD
