Owned a Ranger for 4 years……never again

Bought a 2018 RT198 P brand new, first month of ownership starter would stay cranking after starting boat, fried 1 starter, they replaced starter and ignition switch. Got it. Back and it happened again, I would have to disconnect battery to stop it. They put new wiring harness in, cured that problem. Coin box lid didnt fit and rubbed pretty bad. Then it cracked in keel i, warranty repair weld that looked like seagull dung about 3 feet long. 3 months later, cracked again. This time they had it for 8 months and built me a 2023 hull and trailer. I was happy with that. When i picked it up, dealer did 0 rigging, my batteries were gone. So i get basspro gift card for the batteries value. Right around 3000 miles on brand new 2023 trailer, catastrophic wheel bearing failure, almost caught fire. Stranded at boat ramp for 9 hours while dealing with mobile mechanic whom had to chase down a replacement axle and got e running for $1050.00. Emailed RANGER warranty whom Ive been dealing with n for years and told them what happened and requested they pay for repair. They said should towed the boat to a dealer so they could inspect the failure What i ended up doing, towed. The boat to a vexus dealer and got rid of it!!! Worst boat experience of my life. Ranger boats are garbage!!! I recommend to any hone thinking of buying a boat, DO NOT BUY a white river marine group boat. The quality is trash

Want to warn the public.

Hubs failed on trailer after 1 year. There had been a recall on these hubs & I took them in for adjustment a few weeks ago. Have been given different stories by dealer about when replacements would ship from Ranger. Finally, I called Ranger customer service & got the complete run around. Ranger told the dealer it would take 2 weeks to "gather parts". This is totally ridiculous & unacceptable. Ranger "customer service" said nothing they could do or even tell me why.

Terrible warranty and terrible components on the boat. I’ll never purchased another ranger again this is my third boat and I will not go back to ranger again

Vote is a 2019 registered as a 2018 I lost a whole year of warranty bilge plug assembly is cheap second one I put on and its broke went to the local dealership they said its not under warranty I asked why not because my boat to 2019 they said it was registered as a 2018 range are used to be for quality and customer service thats not the case anymore

Problem with the axle on trailer for 188vs

Wheel is rubbing fender on left side of trailer. Inside of tire is worn slick.Somethin is broken, bent,or worn out. The wheel bearings aren't the problem, they have been checked out.

Non Operational Boat

Bought boat in May of 2021. Took out 3 times in summer of 2021 with alot of electrical components not working. Took into shop in September of 2021 bought still not fixed. Took1st boat trip 2 weeks ago boatless and 2nd trip coming up Mid July gonna be boat less. This companies customer service is Horrible! If you garbage you Sold doesn't work the least you can do is fix the crap in a timely manner. I WOULD NOT BUY A RANGER PONTOON chriseubank@***.net

Terrible quality and I even worst customer service

Have not heard from the company at all! The seats continue to get worse pulling apart at the seams.

I bought the boat May 2021 I drove 12 hours to get it. The console had a 12-14 inch crack in it at pick up. I got the boat home and the seats started pulling apart at the seams in several sections. I contacted the dealer immediately and to this day they refuse to fix any of the issue. Ive owned several boats and this Ranger is by far the biggest waste of money Ive ever spent. Terrible quality and terrible customer service! I do not recommend buying a Ranger boat!

I bought the titanic of ranger boughts

Purchased new, 3 days later dropped into water to discover a major leak in the hydraulic steering left me drifting with no steering. Also broken live-well switch filling with no end in sight. And to top it off, power pole pump leaking in the rear. This is all before I owned the boat for 4 days and even put 3 minutes on the motor. Of course, Ranger basically told me to pound sand and that's what warranties are for. I will do everything possible to keep even 1 person from buying a boat from Ranger! I'm stuck with it now, probably be using the seat cushion as a flotation device in a month the way its going!

Carpet

I paid $400 for a new carpet for my boat. 2 holes cut out for a 5 hole seat. No shapes. Ranger and the dealer say that's just the way they come. Seriously what boat has ONE driver seat and ONE passenger seat AND no other seats in the boat. I haven't been this passed since the front deck pedestal seat fell through the floor. Rangers suck

WET WET WET WET. Oh BTW did I say wet yet? Its horrible. Sold a new boat because its un-useable for anything other than the flattest of days.

WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE, MELISSA TOOK MY PHONE CALL AND DUE TO A SYSTEM CHANGE IN THE COMPANY SHE HAD NO ACCESS TO MY PREVIOUS ORDER FROM JUNE. MELISSA ASSURED ME THAT SHE WOULD PERSONALLY HANDLE IT, WITH A FOLLOW UP CALL MELISSA TOLD ME THE ORDER WAS HANDLED AND THE ITEMS WERE BEING SHIPPED,,,, TO WHOM IT CONCERNS THIS EMPLOYEE DESERVES A RAISE , YOU NEED MORE PEOPLE LIKE HER... Cracked welds on transom and keel of the ranger 1788vx

DAfter purchasing my 2019 ****vx ranger I noticed that first fall that my bilge pump was kicking on and off very frequently.i winterized and shrink wrapped the boat assuming that it was a live well issue or something simple,I couldn't have been more wrong.turns out it was inequality of welds that had passed through the quality control at ranger manufacturing.so I sent my ranger back to ranger in April of 2021 ,my boat was returned to me on July 15 of 2021 to find out it leaked as bad as when I shipped my boat back to ranger.so it was shipped back to ranger to be evaluated by ranger staff.it was evaluated sent to repair facility and was deemed to be fixed.upon my boats return to the power lodge in brained mn,the power lodge noticed ranger didn't complete the repairs that had been foreworded to ranger previously two times.so the rest of the repairs were completed by a collision repair company here in Minnesota.now I am at a loss for what can be done in this matter.i have no confidence of this boat not sinking.the repairs I have not been able to put to test.the integrity that ranger once held is gone in my eyes and from looking online it is warranted.so I have contacted lawyers they have filled a claim not a lawsuit.but haven't had any response after 4 weeks from ranger. Ranger know this ur deep pockets and increadible lawyers can fight anything in court,but u have woken a monster bullheaded pissed off consumer that has now cancelled all plans of vacations this summer to plan on being at all bass pro shops national walleye tour locations this summer to publicly inform all that can see and listen to the atrocities that I and many others are experiencing from the purchase off a new aluminum ranger boat.putting bandaids on open wounds is not acceptable.rangers integrity bull -----.my life and those of the people that fish with me in my boat should be first and foremost in rangers responsibility.not compensation!!!waiting for a catastrophic outing should not be what it takes to get the right reaction from ranger.hope it doesn't have to happen for ranger to own their mistakes.unhappy ranger boat owner.

Reconditioning of my Ranger 185 vs bass boat

I dont have a complaint, my 185vs has been flawless over the years, I would like to have the top end deck live wells and wireing all revamped, does Ranger still offer this?

Disappointed with RB200 Ranger and Dealer Eberlin Boats in Herman MO

Boat took 8 months from order to delivery. Upon delivery, construction details were terrible. I should have not accepted the boat. Wiring was done incorrectly.The wiring looked like spaghetti thrown into the bilge. Hand fulls of trash was in the bilge. Incorrect batteries were installed. the Custom Cover did not fit the trailer wiring was screwed up. the boat leaks, gauges do not work. The boat has zero dry storage. Hatch locks are loose and falling apart. Engine hatch is broken. Aluminum pop rivets were used on stainless steel hardware and are corroding within 3 months. one livewell will not operate. all this after being at the Dealer for repairs multiple times. The outboard is mounted incorrectly and cavitates upon acceleration. Jack plate is useless as a result. A total disappointment.

Water getting in dry storage Compartments

bought the 2021 ranger RT188p from dealer Boat City Hammond louisiana around March. Two times the boat had gotten rain on every compartment got Soaked with water along with everything that was stored in the compartments.
