FALSE INFORMATION

In the morning i went to see a kitty and to keep the story short I asked and said I dont want it sprayed and kept repeating myself and asked for a manager and or owner to the company to wave it and then they proceeded to bring a guy out that works there with a paper starting CALI STATE LAW SPRAY/NEUTERED I looked up the policy state law and it dose in deed say so WITH THE FOLLOWIG WORDS (EXCEPT AS PROVIDED) witch means CAT WAS LISTED (NOT SPRAYED) and I drive to adopt him and they said they wont sale me the cat and they dont have to sale any animals to any one and proceeded to look at me up and down if I wasnt good enough to rehome a kitty A FOREVER HOME.! And they denied me for false information and due to a staff member wanting the cat. THATS NOT OKAY. !

To contract pissed offcustomer. Sorry for your experience, but I just had a terrific one.

Very courteous employee walked me through cattery on my search to adopt a cat, she told about their characteristics and let me hold which ever one was willing. She helped me settle on a very loving girl. The adoption process was easy. Came with free vetenary visit and microchip. I highly recommend Ramona Animal Shelter.

Bully obnoxious male employee

I found an abandoned cat and gave my address thinking it was a simple drop off. Those ignorant jerk keep harassing me for answers and then demanded I stayed wait for 20 cats were being caged. They are there for free county money not pet safety. He threatened me w calling the cops and getting my license plate if I left the cat. It upset me because I tried to do the correct thing in this heat and not leave the cat on the street. The idiot employee fabricated a things to refuse the cat!!! He needs another job!!! Worst customer service ever and now I see why a lot of people abandon animals on the street!!! Sorry case for a man. Will never return to this shelter again!!

The workers here are trash!

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE TERRIBLE Wish I could give negative stars... This place is absolutely horrendous and the people that work here are terrible. My girlfriend and I came here to get our 7 month Lab neutered and had an appointment at 7am. when we showed up, there were people that were doing walk-ins and some had appointments as well. They told everyone to line up and said that they had a new system that they still dont know, funny because i saw another review of this place claiming that these people said that they had a new system and that they didnt know about a month ago. You would think a month would help these people learn... We waited almost 2 hours to get in and the girl with the black scrubs (who we assume is the receptionist/ assistant)and the girl with braids gave my girlfriend so much attitude and ignored her when she was waiting in line. After my girlfriend finished paperwork, I took him into a room to be weighed. We had a muzzle on our dog because of his social and separation anxiety and he barks when hes scared. the dense black scrub girl asked if he had it because he bites and looked scared. I kindly explained that hes just scared because this is a new environment with strangers. My dog sensed her fear and was anxious and didnt want to go near them but finally the actual Vet came in and calmed him down. First of all, how are you going to volunteer/work here if you cant deal with animals? If you cant handle the wide spectrum of animal behavior find somewhere else to work!! An hour after we dropped our dog off, we get a call saying that we need to come back to put his muzzle back on. I dont understand why they couldnt just put it back on when dealing with dogs is part of their job but we came and my girlfriend put it back on. We waited 7 hours and were worried about our baby and they finally called and asked my girlfriend wait have i called you yet? We were worried sick about our dog and the numbskull black scrubbed receptionist forgot to call and update us. this place literally allows the most bovine and obtuse people to volunteer and work here. This is the most unprofessional business ive EVER encountered. We get there excited and relieved knowing he is okay because weve never been without our dog since he was 6 weeks old. We get there and while my girlfriend is getting a refund for a nail trim, the braided hair buffoon asks me if i wanted to go pick him up. This is a special moment for my girlfriend and I so I asked her is it okay if I wait for my girlfriend to finish up? The girl looked at me as if I committed a crime and puzzlingly asked so you want to wait? she sounded as if she had never heard of a question before. she then asked her pathetic excuse of a nurse colleague if two people were allowed in the holding area. The nurse asked me if MY DOG was comfortable with ME. I kindly explained that I just wanted my girlfriend and I to see our dog together and she firmly and aggressively asked again but is he comfortable with you? This B***** doesnt know us or our dog and is indirectly accusing me that my dog is scared of me. I went to the holding area by myself to pick up my baby and he was so happy to see me, who knows how long he was in there. PLUS, they couldnt even put a Cone on his head so this whole time he couldve been licking his wound. I then walked out with him and the wannabe Greys Anatomy nurse asked the braided buffoon if that was the right dog. Im assuming that these fools have given someone the wrong dog before. Literally these people have THE absolute worst customer service skills and are the most unprofessional and air headed individuals my girlfriend and i have interacted with. These people clearly dont like their job and shouldnt be here. if you want to deal with the worst customer service and with people that treat you like *** feel free to come. I do not recommend this place in the slightest as it is a sad excuse of a clinic. How is this place called a Humane society if the workers here dont even have a molecule of decency towards customers.

They are so WRONG.....

How DARE you. They come and take your animals away for no reason. I can not stand this place. They disgust me. They do this so they can make $$$. Don't believe what they say. I LOVE my animals. They are all I have. They are like my children.

They say they want people reunited

I went in there looking for my cats. The people next door trapped and brought them down to Ramona. They have three of my cats. They want $400.00 to get two out and the one they said is going to a rescue house! What's up with that! Someone can come in and adopt for $50.00 but they won't let them go to the owner for that. I don't have the money for that. One cat is 13 years old. I want my cats but don't have the money to get them out. They are mean about it and rude people. They don't even try to work with you to help to get your cats back! They are very cold hearted. Those people that work behind the counter should never deal with people. That was the worse experience I have ever had. I still haven't got the money up to save my animals. I don't know if I ever will. I don't know what I can do. The more time that goes by the higher the price is.

Sad fact of out society that they say that care so far from the truth

Many years ago I paid over $1000.00 to have my blue and gold macaw returned to me, that,s a story not really associated with my next story. My Snowball a thirteen year old shepherd whom got while on a three vacation with my parents in 2004. He was 15 weeks old at that time, for whatever reason maybe because he had raised in a kennel all his 15 weeks, the only and I need to stress the only person whom has ever been able to pet, to hold, to love has been myself. I recently took Snowball to Mars vet on Acacia between Palm and Lyon in Hemet. My baby has a cancerous tumor on his head, vet told me he's not in pain at this time and I will know when it's time. I had Buster whom I had since he was 6 weeks old till he died in my arms on my son's bed, we called him Tumor Dog cause he had so many tumor on his belly yet what a wonderful dog he was. That was the most horrifying situation I have had to experience in my life. Which leads to my situation now I don't want Snowball to suffer and I do understand why they ask for $45.00 to drop off but to stay with the animal during the procedure would cost $100.00. I simply ask in the phone message I left to whom I believe to be the manager of Ramona Animal Haven. I did receive a return call shortly after that only to hear that they have trained staff that understand this type of situation and would know how to comfort the animal. He would talk to me or listen to me cause he said a cussed at him (I believe but don't remember doing so but it's possible I may have said something to the effect of I knew it you don't give a dame about the animals only the money). I am looking for any assistance I can find that could help me, as I had said in message even a payment plan would be helpful. I'll be checking everywhere I. can think of if anyone should know a another avenue please let me know. God bless good and Judge all others.

Ramona Animal Shelter - Review in Animal Services category

My dog baylee was stolen out of my yard. 3-22-17 when went back and forth between animal shelters the one-off humane way in this one-off Grande on 3-23-17 we made flyers past them out we searched by foot @340 on 3-23-17 we got a phone from valle vista fire department say our dog was found in the wash near by we immediately made our way down there and was informed that she had been hit by a car and they had to put her to sleep the following day on 3-24 I was informed of a completely different incident that she had been attacked by coyotes I ended up coming across the two women that found her in the wash both of them inform that when animal control they were very unprofessional the two women try to explain to the officer that came to the scene that she is still alive she is salvageable please take her to a vet please seek medical attention for her all that they wanted to do was euthanized her on seen but the two ladies we're very upset and told the Animal control officer they should not euthanize her that she is able to live one lady was willing to take ownership right then and there and to pay for vet bills Was specifically telling them what vet to take her to .. that can approach and assess with her needs and care once again the Animal control officer was very rude and very persistent on putting her down I was informed by one of the supervisors at the shelter it took an hour and a half to get from point A to point B with my dog why so long ? I was so upset and so distraught because I kept getting three different stories from the shelter so I ended up picking up my dog's body and having an autopsy and full body X-ray done on her by my vet I ended up getting the results she called me later that evening and informed that all she had was puncture wounds towards the back end of her tail her lower back in and her legs she couldn't understand why this dog was put to sleep all she needed was to have stitches and and rest and hydrated to be on antibiotics and pain medication due to the *** wounds she was tramitized and tired they wrongfully put my dog to sleep the vet did a full body x-ray nothing was broken no internal bleeding no broken blood vessels no puncture wounds to main arteries all there was where puncture wounds that could have been stitched up I want Justice for my dog I don't want this to ever happen to another family and I want to give a big thank you to the two ladies that tried to save her life but she was basically going into a death trap as soon as she got into the vehicle with the Animal control officer what's really going on at the shelter who's really trying to save our dogs apparently not them !!

Ramona Animal Shelter Services Review from San Jacinto, California

My furry child 13 years old was lost on December 9th about 5 o'clock at 6:30,she was picked up by a local groomer..on the 10th of December she was taken to Ramona.. My son & I went to Ramona shelter on the 10th of December same day she was brought to them...they never said she was there..instead the back dated her adoption to the 5 th of December...when I saw in a post that she was brought there naturally my son & I immediately went there..to be told too bad she's been adopted by A nasty woman named Laurie who grabbed my sons throat he easily could have put her down he pushed her off!! We were told Jeff Shepard was in charge..I returned the next day he made believe he wasn't there!!!!.Police say they can't help so my attorney is on it...that place that filthy place has a hidden agenda that needs to be stopped...I'm not giving up they lied told the adopted person Maggie is 5 she's 13 almost 14 years young and certainly is not happy wherever she is they are disgraceful.. Embarassing to have people like that in our universe

Ramona "Humane Society" is not part of the Humane Society it is a kill shelter

Why is the Humane Society so loosey goosey with their name that they allow anyone, anywhere to use it??? Ramona uses that name and the public is so unaware it is a kill shelter.. get animals out of there please, just adopt and make a difference and don't think it is ok to send your pets there. Wake up people, these fur babies depend on us. If your pet gets sick that you get from there well guess what, happens all the time at all shelters, give them love and good food and colloidal silver and things do clear up.

Ramona Animal Shelter - Animal Shelter Review from Hemet, California

The conditions at your shelter are deplorable!!!! There are a lot of people sitting around while the animals have to stay in filthy kennels. I think this place should be closed.

Ramona Animal Shelter - Pet Adoption Review from Bellflower, California

When I tried to pick up my pet I was lied to, disrespected and all my questions and concerns were dismissed. I was flipped flopped between Ramona animal shelter and the small animal care and never received any correct information. I think the government needs to review this office for efficiency . Isn't this one of the uses for computers so that they ate all on the same page? The only time I seen a computer used for anyone that came into the building was for a money transaction. I am sorely and deeply "PISSED OFF" as I stated to Laurie as she back peddled during our conversation. This is not at all acceptable and this facility should and needs to be held accountable.

Unable to do their job

To whom it may concern, 7/19/2010 Locations of concern; Vacant homes @ 310 Carmelita Hemet Ca. 92543 and 308 are a public health concern among other code and law violations. I have called, emailed and even took a cat in to the Ramona Animal Shelter. I caught one cat in my own yard, but I know that there are at least ten to twenty more at the location specified. From some of the research I have been doing to try to remedy this problem I have found a phrase that fits this situation " Foreclosure Pets", except that it's been several litters later and they are still going at it, not to mention more feral. The problem is that no one wants to take on the job because they are over taxed at the shelter responsible for this area. This is why I am trying to get help from your department. I hope this dose not fall on deaf ears or sends me on another run around. Please help me get this situation resolved. I have also brought this to the attention to the Hemet code enforcement department. Mass amounts of fecal matter is accumulation in and about the abandoned house in question. My garden area is also being used by these sick and now wild animals as a litter box. I see that these agencies are strapped for recourses and have taken on more than they can handle, but the fact that the law is binding is where the buck stops. (157 A PUBLIC POLICY TOWARD THE MANAGEMENT OF FERAL CATS). These are a few of the laws that I believe are being broke; Sec. 30-44. Misdemeanors. (a) The owner, or any other person having charge or control of any building or property, real or personal, who maintains any public nuisance as defined in this article or who violates any order of abatement made pursuant to this article is guilty of a misdemeanor. (Ord. No. 1620, § 1, 4-10-00) Sec. 30-45. Authority to issue citations. Sec. 62-100. Responsibility. (Ord. No. 1561, § 1, 5-27-97) Secs. 62-101--6*-109. Reserved. Sincerely frustrated Amber Johnson

Unpleasant experience at ramona animalshelter

I went in to look for our lost dog we saw one that looked just like it so we told the staff that we were uncertain they gave us a big problem and said that they would not give us the dog unless we claimed it as our own so we did and the same night we recieved him back he was already sick and now two days later they dont even want to help with anything they said that i did not adopt it therefore they would not pay for anything than to top it off they tell me just to give it back to them + they will not reimburse me a red cent so they are very cruel and not any help at all i strongly encourage anyone that goes over there looking for a pet to ask plenty questions and read the fine print because they are straight evil.
