Challenges are one of the ways to get extra energy and tomes. However, the cost of reaching some of them is just too high. Just today I spend over 40 battles (320 energy) to get a gauntlet with xp% as primary stat. All battles were easily won and only positive side is I can use these to harvest players which I will need to sacrifice to obtain higher level players, but it would be nice if I could pick the battles with higher XP to harvest instead of the 2 lowest levels. The same with upgrading items. It happened several times that I spend 500.000+ coins on upgrading from level 12 to 13. These odds are just awful and make me want to quit the game. I really don't mind that sometimes you really have to apply your best tactics to reach something, but this is just insane and ruins the fun of the game.
