Very unprofessional behavior by management

On 8/23/23 at approximately 1:10pm. I went to the Potbelly Sandwich Shop at 32457 Gratiot Ave. Roseville, Michigan to order a meal. On Friday 8/18/23 I had surgery so I could not cook and needed a meal, since I had visit this location the day before and had such a good experience and enjoyed the meal I decided to purchase another meal today. I drove up to the drive thru window and started placing my order...I ordered the same thing I had ordered the day before...as I was placing my order the person taking my order ask me what my order was as though she didn't hear it, I repeated my order only this time "I spoke a little louder so she could here me" ( org tuna salad, on flat bread with cheddar cheese, lettuce, onion and a cup of baked potato soup) she then gave me my total ($15.79 approx.) I then told her I had just order the same thing the day before and why was the cost more? she then yelled out you ordered double cheese, I stated that I didn't order extra cheese, the next thing I knew she was yelling at me saying "who you yelling at" I'm saying what are you talking about? Next she's says pull up to the window, then she turns around and say I'm coming out! Now I'm really not believing what I'm hearing, so I hear this voice outside the restaurant side door and it's her, so I pull up just pass the speaker and this young lady standing outside just yelling at me I'm not gone serve you, so I'm asking her for the manager, she claims to be the manager, I then drove around to the front door and went inside the store to locate the manager, I walked over to another associate and ask for the manager, the associate claims this lady was the manager, I then told the "SO CALL MANAGER THAT SHE HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS" I asked her to give me the name and number of her boss, which she would not do! The so call manager proceeded to call the police on me telling them I was yelling at her. This is very sad that Potbelly's would have such an immature, unprofessional person in charge of anything let a lone a store! Your company needs to stop putting kids in your stores in a leadership position with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!

Order

I paid over $10 for a salad in drive-thru. When I got back to my office, it looked more like a half-salad. VERY disappointing. Also, no receipt in the bag and no one asked whether or not I wanted one.

Unpleasant experience

My friend and I had lunch at the Pot Belly located at 4023 Summit Plaza Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40241 on Friday, August 4, 2023, at approximately 1:00 p.m. We were not sure we had made a good choice upon entering as the restaurant at first glance did not appear to be very clean. We decided to stay and placed our order. It took us a while to find a table that was sort of clean enough to sit at. Upon receiving our food, her sandwich was okay, except for the bread being burnt. My sandwich had meat on only one half, and was also burnt. As it started to get busy, we just decided to write it off as a bad experience and not complain, just leave. All the while we were there, however, we realized that our initial assessment of not very clean was more accurately, outright filthy. The walls, the chairs, the tables, all had dried food and dirt stuck to them. I had the misfortune of using the restroom before we left, and wish I hadnt. It was worse than a country roadside gas station restroom. As we were leaving, my friend approached the manager and very politely made him aware of the condition of the restaurant. While talking to him she observed the area behind the counter where the food was prepared and spoke to him about how uncomfortable it made her to see the filth back there, knowing thats were our food came from. The manager spoke not ONE word to her, he let her speak and when she was finished he turned away to one of his employees and just staring shaking his head. I just want you to be aware of this situation. The Paddock Shopping Center is a lovely place to shop and visit and one would expect that the restaurants located within would be held to the same standard. I guarantee you I will never visit another Pot Belly Sandwich Shop. In relating our experience to another friend, she commented that she would never eat there and that many other people she knew also would not. It appears it has earned a reputation in the neighborhood. Anyway, like I said, I just thought you should know how your franchise is being represented in my community.

soup was too few yesterday. another 2 time was good quantity, then ordered again 3rd time, it was really few quantity. the situation, it was difficult to claim it. Could you refund this fee of soup ? I still remember as sad story . Also , I annoyed for , a stuff gave to me big size of sandwich, although I ordered skinny size . She said , because someone cancel it ( big size , same sandwich) . But , it is not good for clients . Someone who ordered small , we would like have this product . I dont want to get something replacement by cancellation of someone else . It looks a little lazy of stuff , rude .

Website not working - can't place order!!!

No direct person resolve the issues. Trouble taking online order. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Message keep saying (bad request). I've followed all instructions that I understood as my knowledge. Please help. Can't show you the proof or the receipt because it let me enter anything. I called them on the phone explain the online issues. She took my order. Then she tells me that they don't deliver. I have no way to get there nor do have anyone closer to pickup. I don't drive due to my disability. All she did apologize. I told her I wouldn't be ordering from anymore even though it's my favorite places for sandwiches. Both of our losses.

Need status on paycheck

I'm waiting on my check that has been mailed out to my house but I unfortunately put in the wrong address. And now I'm trying to contact anyone for a tracking number to see it in the mail or a receipt confirming the letter that's been sent through the mail so I can use the receipt to track my check.

NEVER, EVER RESPONDED TO ANY OF MY COMPLAINTS ONLINE

Read my title; just called your so-called customer service; not a chance in *** I'd talk to a person. Last incident; you sent me an email; "visit one time between now and 05/30/2023; free sandwich; order now" I tried, on the app, but wasn't in my perks, couldn't apply, so, I went to my local restaurant, brought the printed email, and the manager looked at it, like it was Chinese; he gave me this nonsense; "Oh no, this only for new customers;" excuse me? Finally, he said "Okay, this time, but no more free sandwiches." Excuse me? You're sending me these offers, and your manager is making feel like a pariah for trying to redeem it. Answer you phones.

Waiting 5 MONTHS for a $200 refund!!

I was charged $111.80 for a $11.80 order in October. Manager said he would credit my card. My statement arrived and he charged an ADDITIONAL $100!!! Im now owed $200 from potbelly # 530. I have been back to the store several times. Nothing happens. I have emailed customer service twice, nothing. Help!! Patrick Straub

Customer credit card security breach by Potbelly's

Follow-up: Potbelly's has ignored all of my emails, voicemails left on its national 888 number, and voicemails left with its store in Evergreen Park, Illinois. I just spent a lot of time with Visa's fraud unit, which is going to reverse these charges and send me a new card. Since I never had my cell phone or my credit card out of my possession in LA when these fraudulent orders were placed, I think it is possible that criminals obtained my app and credit card information due to a Potbelly's data security breach. In any event, I am done being a Potbelly's customer after more than 20 years.

My Potbelly account was hacked

Some unauthorized person used my Potbelly's app to place fraudulent orders with your evergreen, Illinois store for $30.92, $43.66, and $29.38, respectively on February 28th, 2023. I have never been to the evergreen park, Illinois store, more place any order there. I live some distance away in Highland park, Illinois, and am in Los Angeles right now. My app indicates that these three orders be delivered to 7841 South hoyne Street in Chicago. That is not my address and I have never been anywhere near that address. I expect Potbelly's to promptly credit these fraudulent charges to my account. I also expect a telephone call from Potbelly's or I will cease being a customer ever again.

Free Cookie promotion not working

I received a message asking me to complete a survey to get a free cookie. I did it and got an email with the promo code "TestCode" but it didn't work. I can send a photo of the email and the screenshot of the order where the code was rejected if needed.

Extremely disappointed in the Potbelly's practice regarding placing large orders online.

I tried to place a large order for the company (USAC) that I work at for a large group. Your website would not allow me to place the order over the internet due to credit card option not working. I could not enter a credit card number for an order over $500.00 because if kept giving the option to put in a gift card. I call the location at 718 14th St, WDC and spoke the manager (Brittany) regarding my issue and was told by her that there is something wrong with site and I CANNOT take an order over the phone for delivery and that I could not come in a place a large order in person. So I ask Brittany what back up do you have since your site is not working. She replied that she could not help me. My question is how does any establishment let $500 just walk out the door. I thought companies were in business to make money, but obviously not Potbelly. I check the site three days and the same issue is there. I went someone else for my catering and how company will not use Potbelly's again.

Hello Jessica Nunez / Potbelly My Name is Marc Anguiano Order #159009****525**** I am a perks member. I would like to tell you about my experience at your Huebner Location in San Antonio Tx. I live in Floresville and placed an order Tuesday morning/afternoon 1/31 for pick up after work for Thursday 6/2 @6:15pm I work Vance Jackson and 410. I received email after I placed my order like normal. I was worried that I was not going to be able to use my Perk because the Freeze. We had road closures because of icy bridges that Tuesday and Wednesday. I placed my order on Tuesday with payment that did process a pre authorized hold on my card for the amount. I show up at the Huebner location to pick up my order and the young lady working the counter said my order did not go through. I showed her my order confirmation. She said that the order had been refunded. Then she went to talk to a Im guessing a manager in the next room. I looked at my phone and received an email at 10 minutes before I walked in the door to Potbelly saying there was a problem with my order. I received the email while I was in transit to your location. I was thinking no big deal. The young lady walked back to the sandwich area. I asked if she could make the order she said that she could but would not honor my rewards. A manager never approached me to try to make it right. I drove 10 minutes in the opposite direction of home to pick up my order that was canceled to none of my doing. I am disappointed because I expected one thing and got another. I am asking you if you can please make this right. I wasted time and money and absolutely do not feel like a valued customer. I am in sales and know customers can be difficult but in this case if I was in the opposite shoes. I would have gone above and beyond to accommodate a rewards customer. I did not feel valued. Service

I used an old gift card has the balance of 2.94.when I give the card to the one claim he is MOD. He slide the card and say no value in the card but show me a receipt has been charge 2.94 instead but can not apply to the purchase. I ask him to make sure and he just say I dont know the computer say nothing in your card. We argue for a few mins . Finaly the sandwich maker come to help and find the old card balance toward my new purchase. And the so call MOD can not even say a Sorry or apology to the customer. I think the one who make the sandwich know better than the MOD

Items were sent incorrectly

I ordered a chocolate shake this morning around 9 am, in the online ordering system, to be delivered at 11 am. When my order was dropped off, the delivery person forgot to include the chocolate shake, but included the straw and the cookie. Also, I had ordered two chocolate cookies, but received one brownie and one chocolate cookie instead. I called the store to see what they could do. I spoke to a male employee, who said that there wasn't much that he could do besides refund the shake. Furthermore, I asked for the entire order to be refunded. He said that he was the store manager and that there was no one higher that I could speak with. The issue here is that I spent $6.00 on a tip, thinking about the employee delivering the meal and how they are taking their time to put together and deliver the meal for me. Apparently, whoever put together the meal either forgot the shake or the driver decided to drink the shake for refreshment. I don't have a tracker to figure it out. Why spend so much money on a meal and tip if it's not accurate when delivered. Makes sense to not order food online from the store ever again.
