I attended for 3 weeks
I attended for 3 or so weeks back in 2013. Me and my friend dropped out because the teacher in the computer repair program allowed students he knew from before to play Xbox and video games all class. When we went to talk to the dean about it he did nothing so we dropped out. 3 years later I got a bill for around 3500 for those 3 weeks from general collections. Porter and Chester never attempted to contact me after conning me so I paid that and now I am being charged another 1000 in fees. Biggest scam on the planet these people are sleazy to the mass.

This school is the biggest waste of money all they care about is prophet not the education of students classroom time was copying PowerPoints there was no hands on Learning as there was only two teachers to 30 students Beware of this school someone needs to put a stop to this for-profit school

Dont ever attend PCI. Not even when youre desperate. They are terrible people who dont care about a single student. They wait until they get your money and then they never speak to you again. Instructors are a joke and dont know anything more than the students. JOKE OF A SCHOOL THAT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

Bad experience from the beginning-registration!
My son just called me to tell me he received a call from a person at this institute to let him know that he will not be attending classes in July because there were not enough students that enrolled. I had to remind him of what they put him through with just trying to get him registered, they kept hounding him for their first payment due before July 7th. Thank God for all the comments because I was going to send the check on Saturday!

No Way At 4 Times The Cost
My daughter was charged $20,000 for one semester at Porter and Chester for a Medical Assistant Certificate. My son has paid $4,500 per semester at Holyoke Community College for Computer Science and has an Associates Degree for $18,000. I paid the equivalent of about $800 by today's value to get ACAD Certified by Autodesk, Inc. Porter and Chester have lost focus on the intent of teaching a certified course at a reasonable rate. Presently Porter and Chester is taking advantage of there being no rule against withholding transcripts of certified courses if they are owed money. What we all need to know; it is illegal to withhold financial records from student or other school request. It is also within Federal Law to have the classes and grades reported on this finical statement as part of the details of charges and payments made.

This experience in my life,I started the school thinking after I graduate I will get a good job after only wants a mess I noticed that the school Lied about being 101 with this instructor and they have bout 28 students in one class expecting you to learn everything most of the times the student start teaching them selve

Only one of the tea hers seemed to care or be interested in teaching. Decided to leave and go to a school that actually taught you rhings instead of used you as a paycheck and for free labor. Its now been 65 days since i left the school and they will not respond or give me back the 950$ thay they owe me. Always an excuse, the person isnt in, there is a family emergency, it has yo be handled bu a seperaye department. 5hey legally had 60 days to pay me back and I havent gotten a single update from them or answer to the 18 times I have contacted them about this. Very poor business practice and very poor customer service. Go to literally any other school!

Took my car in for an alternator .They never comunicated with me.I kept calling.A wire melted.I couldnt get ahold of anyone to tell them i found the part.The i structor kept putting me off.After 7 days I got mad. I called and said I want my car.2 hours later it was done.He called..no charge keys are in it come get it.????.Took a taxi down .Walked up to the car.MY WINDSHIELDS CRACKED NOONE TOLD ME..CALLED.APOLOGIZED..IN. A NUTSHELL "F" U LADY.OMG I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM.Noe I have to get tjis fixed.

I have many friends and a daughter who are having a difficult time retaining the information that the instructors are not putting out.As a concerned parent and friend i feel this school should be investigated.Several students had voiced complaints and concerns to the administrator who failed to meet the students needs.For the price the school is charging they are not receiving the quality of education they are going to be in debt of paying.This needs to be looked into. Still no job in the course I took, I knew more than the teacher in Tech class. They promised to help me find a job, Ive called and even went in to see the job search advocate , and always given excuses to busy to see me or answer the phone, now Im in Dept of 20,000 this school sucked and happy to hear it closed, hope the rest of them do as well and a lawsuit is filed , so I can get loan wiped off my credit report, money hungry *** who never cared about their students , hope you get whats coming to you

Let me start by saying don’t waste your time This course supposed to be 18 months worth or computer networking actually you come to school from 6 to 830 instead of 6 to 1030 profesor half of the time doesn’t know what he’s doing 30,000.00 for just a diploma cause your certification you can get then by getting the book and study hard on you own time a total waste of my time The Director is a piece of art you ask for his time and all he does is Bla Bla Bla cause he don’t do anything to help you with your concerns and school problems They are just money hungry and don’t care about us students Also new student comes in every beginning of each term so not everyone is on the same learning level

Suckered into borrowing 30000$ in student loans from the federal government, to pay for education I could have received for an 8th of the cost at a community college and would have received a better education and future. Automotive Program - STAY AWAY
I was a student at the Stratford Campus for Automotive Technology for 6 months before I realized I was wasting my time. My mistake was wasting the 6 months, but the teacher didn’t do anything besides half *** jobs, show random not useful knowledge, gave out the test answers so people would pass, this includes ASE license test. If you failed this program, you probably just never showed up, because the only thing that would legit fail you would be attendance. I had a friend in the class who literally showed up, played with their iPad the whole time and passed, never even touched a tool/car. They want $20K-$30K for a program that the worst community college would most likely surpass with flying colors. I’m truly disgusted by the fact that they offered no help, financial or academically to other students and myself. I wouldn’t recommend this program/school to anyone, steer clear and find a school that will make your money’s worth, cause this place is just a money hungry business with the majority of its staff just collecting a paycheck.

Don't ever go here. Waste of money
When i went to Porter and Chester in Enfield for hvac doing night classes, I was told i would be in the shop for 90% of the time having all hands on training, and hardly any time in the classroom. Instead if was 99% of the time in the classroom and hardly any time in the shop. When the class went into the shop we ended up cleaning and organizing the shop for the morning class just to mess it all up again. When in the class we either watched netflix or slideshows and the teacher would give us answers on any quizes or tests, even finals for the semester. I was paying to waste my time basically, i couldve stayed home and watched netflix without wasting 45 minutes of driving and a few hours of "class" follwed by another 45 minute drive home. I recommend no one sign up to go to porter and chester unless you wanna just blow your money on nothing
