Hidden Charges

The lock on my fence gate broke, so I called the Pop A Lock located in Clearwater, Florida to come down on February 12th at 9 AM to replace the lock. The technician showed up around 4 PM on February 11th instead, and said he had to get the correct parts but could fix it then, but I told him to stick to the appointment. He gave me 2 choices in locks, so I picked the Puck Lock which seem more secure after he explained both choices to me. He said he would be down on February 12th at 10:30 AM instead, but did not show up until 12:30 PM with the lock, but had gotten the wrong size screws so had to return to the store. After he installed the lock, he told me that the door had to be perfectly lined up for the lock to work, and had a difficult time himself showing me how it works. He also promised me a receipt, which I never received. I called his office several days later and finally received the receipt, with hidden charges. When I made my appointment and asked for the cost, I was not told that I would be charged an extra $128 for truck charges. That seems like fraud to me, so I reported it to the appropriate Government Agencies to take further action.

Rude driver

I called pal and was told 45 $ . Driver shows up at my home but refuses to come to my door. He called and was told the car is on the side of the house. I opened the front door a saw his car way out on the street. I went back inside and called the driver again. No answer..i looked back out and he was gone. I called pop a lock and was told he now wants 55$ to come back. Lol .. Very unprofessional Kyle and pop a lock . I had another company . They charged the same. Very polite and professional. .

Bloomfield New Jersey Pop A Lock is a SCAM!

Joe from Pop A Lock in Bloomfield NJ endangered my life tonight, lied to me over and over and over through the course of 3 hours and mocked my desperate situation. It all began today when I got a flat tire on a highway in Linden NJ at about 3:30. Geico Insurance company's roadside assistance called pop a lock and assured me that someone would be there in 45 minutes. When nobody showed up in an hour I called Geico and apparently a "Geico representative" mistakenly entered my policy number for my phone number so Pop a lock couldnt get in touch with me. Although I gave Pop a lock a pass for Geico's mistake, they had my location and still could have shown up. When Geico realized their mistake they once again called Pop A Lock and I was once again told 45 minutes. It was raining, starting to get dark and I was on the shoulder of a busy highway. When they didn't show in an hour, I called Pop A Lock, and Joe from Bloomfield said his driver will be there in 10 minutes. After 40 minutes passed I called again and Joe said he'll be there "soon". I told Joe I was getting afraid being stranded on the highway in the rain and dark and he said, "Well have a great night then." Finally Jose the driver called me and said he would be to me in 10 minutes. After 1/2 an hour and he didnt show I called Pop a lock in Bloomfield and they lied and said they were in Texas and couldnt help me. Then I called Jose's cell and he told me he was told by his dispatcher that my location was too dangerous and to not come help me. He said he figured they would have told me that. Nobody from Pop A Lock called to tell me that they were leaving me stranded, and after 3 hours of pure BS from Pop A Lock I gave up. Lies, scam and FRAUD! I called George's Gulf .... he showed up in 15 minutes and changed my tire on the spot in 5 minutes.

The worst

Quoted an eta of 30-45 mins , after which time we called back to be informed our request was not responded to which we were informed meant “the company out reached must not be working” .. and they would send another message for a response .... we waited an hour from our original request ... with no response to our request one expects some alert to inform the customer of unavailability... we were never alerted /informed .... with our second call back we did not receive an apology for no response nor any guidance ..... AWFUL WHEN YOU’RE STRANDED AND LOCKED OUT!... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !

Scam. Horrible. Nasty.

Got locked out of our running car so we call get told the order is sent and well recieve a call soon this is around 3:00am or so. So we wait and wait then call in again quite a few times before we hear from the person whos supposed to come down but guess what "itll be another hour im in Salt Lake" god okay whatever great see you soon i guess. Another hour goes by we call in and want to talk to a manager they day theyll figure it oit and have someone 15 minutes away. Cool. At this point its almost 5 am. Then we call in to another manger and SHE HUNG UP. Best part is that they then told us they dont have anyone to come down to our area anyways. We ended up calling AAA here in less than 15 minutes door was open in 2. Very wonderful and pleasnt guy. The "Tech" we were dealing with also sounded drunk, stumpling on his words and hung up so many times.

Bad Bad Bad

Left Walmart and a young girl was sitting on the trunk of her car. We pulled up and asked her if she was ok. She states she was waiting on Pop a Lock. After 4 more calls and an hour and a half later and them stating they were on their way, we called someone else. Shame on them as this young girl could have been abducted or harmed in some way!!!

Jump start

I have requested for a jump start at 450 pm. Custom rep from POP A LOCK, informed me the ETA of 540 pm. I have waited for an hour and called around 550 and I was informed that driver is around 10 minutes away. I called at 7 pm and I was informed that driver is 40 minute away. It is worst possible customer service!!!! I am still waiting now. I am planning to file a formal complaint in consumer court against this company. Any piece of advice will be highly appreciated.

Horrible Experience

Rep. From pop a lock had trouble with frint door locks and went to back of my home in spite of my telling him not to touch the sliding door. He threw it iff the track and still could not enter that way. My alarm went off. When he finally got the front door open he could not fux the damage he caused to the back door. He said if I paid first, he would send someone later. I said i would pay after it was fixed. He called the police. He forged my signature on an invoice and lied ro the police re: asking me for any ID to prove this was my home. After the police left, he blocked my car in my driveway and tried to intimidate me. I had to call his ofc to get him to leave. I had to call a handyman to fix the back door he broke. Also, earlier, he asked to take pictures of the damaged door and I agreed but asked him to wipe his feet since his shoes had dirt and I have light carpet. He refused. I to hin to leave. This wascwhen the police was still there. I called Pop A Lock several times and no return call from a suoervisor to resolve this. BEWARE DO NOT USE THEM!

The person Eric that came out was kind courteous and didn't

My son locked his car keys in the trunk of his Audi Eric came out took care of the problem everything was done less than 1 minute from the time we got there and a time I sign my paperwork I was pleased and I will refer Pop-A-Lock and also asked if Eric could be the technician to go out like I said next time if any of my friends need Pop-A-Lock I will refer them to the Pop-A-Lock and see if Eric could come out if not I know by the professional attitude Eric had all your other employees will be the same and that's what I look for in a company that comes out and does work for me professional kind and courtesy that to me when Eric came is a five-star if not attend star if I could do it

Potential Credit card scam!!

I called Pop-A-Lock in York PA and although the technician was friendly and helpful, there were several "Red Flag" issues concerning for a credit card scam. #1. No identification whatsoever of being from Pop-A-Lock (private vehicle with no company logo, no uniform, etc.) #2. Could not giving me a receipt because he "used the last one on the prior call" but would "email me a copy once he got back to the office" (no email was sent), and #3. Took my credit card information and called it into ?? someone, but then said "their system was down" and we needed to go to an ATM for me to give him cash but he still had my credit card information. Of course I immediately cancelled my card, afterward. I tried contacting the company the next day and the day after but I've gotten no response back from them! BEWARE!
