Horrible trade in credit

You think gamestop trade in credit is bad this place is even worst than gamestop the price for game is very high and you get nothing for your games that to bad this place got great selection of game The employees are ok when come to friendly lately i have been going to disk trader because they trade in is way better plus you can trade in movies at that place Over all play n trade get 2.5 out of 5

Bad company

I spent 200$ at play N Trade on East Beltline in just games! I even bought a 10$ membership. This buisness has the worst policys of any store that I have delt with. The employees can not make any decsions. The owner is selfish and obviously does not care about his customers or how his business is crooked. I bought a game that did not work, they will not give me my money back and will not swap out a copy. I will never recomend anyone ever going to Play N Trade. No wonder they had to close their other location on Alpine ave. Hope their business fails, they won't be getting any more of my money. Too bad you can't rate 0 stars.

Play N Trade Playstation 4 Trade-In Review

I sold my Ps4 about 3-4 weeks ago to play n trade and all they offered to me was $150. I needed the money so I took it. Last week a friend of mine offers the same exact deal to play n trade ( one controller + ps4) and they offered him $220. Not to mention my Ps4 was barely used rather than his which had plenty of scratches. I would not recommend this place whatsoever. Workers are all ***

Disappeared without a trace and robbed children

The owner of that store was a attorney who took advantage of children. Wrote a testimonial about herself being a retired attorney who's" business was booming". Who steals from a child and sleeps at nite? She disconnected her phone while she went out of business so no one could recoup there losses. We called REIT and we obtained her home address and phone number. The witch lived in a mansion and she had a purple witches hat in her bedroom closet What a *** and we looked her up and she jumps from law firm to law firm because she has so many enemies.

Staff Review

The Evergreen park location in chicago has the most disrespectful and unprofessional employees. Just because I asked to speak to someone else the guy hung up on me.and became combative when I came to the store.never again will I do business with that company again.

Bunch of Frauds.

I bought a brand new Fire Emblem Awakening game SEALED at play n trade, I get home, enter the Club Nintendo code and it has already been entered. I go to my friend who used to work at play n trade and he said that they RESEAL the packaging and sell used games new after wiping them of saved files. I go back the next day bringing them this information and they don't deny that they reseal the games but they say that they don't sell them at a new price and refuse to give me an exchange on fire emblem.

Play N Trade - Opening Hours Review from Detroit, Michigan

Play N Trade in Erie PA is TERRIBLE! First off, they're never open on time. If they're supposed to open at 10, someone will open the store around 12:30. They workers are RUDE! I mean they don't even try to get you to buy anything or tell you about their products. I preordered a game and when I went to go get it, they weren't open on time as usual. Sat in my car for almost 2 hours waiting for someone to open the store. I will NEVER EVER come back to Play N Trade again. I thought it'd be convient because it's closer to me than GameStop, but I'll be taking the trip from now on.

Rip off

I was at play and trade I hade 6 games and a gameboy color I had 3 of them that was nes games such as top gun karate champs and bases loaded on the gameboy I had Pokemon red rescue team and the lion king on the sega gamegear I hade mortal kombat 1 whith case I waited with the lady at the counter she was wasting her time talking to someone so she did that for about 7 minutes until she finally acknowledged me so I brought out the stuff so she scanned it and what not she says do you want cash or store credit and i said cash so she says its going to be 6 bucks and 47cents so i said yes and I found out my stuff was worth 40 bucks later So I'm mad about it

Psycho Owner

The Plymouth meeting PA store never had a shot with that owner running the show. Rude,nasty, unprofessional and threatened customers regularly. The place had no inventory and she accused everyone of stealing from her including her employees. She was referred as a shedevil and diesel *** drama queen by her employees. Heard she was a silver spoon trust fund ***. Never paid rent, royalties or employees. The girl ran the business into the ground according to corporate Play N trade executives and stiffed kids out of there allowances and christmas gifts. She claimed in a self written testimonial that she was a retired attorney and a super successful retiree. She lied by omission according to our sources. The girl is a "LOOSER"

Play N Trade not honoring its refund policy

Play N Trade has ignored all inquiries into this issue. Thankfully, my credit card company saw reason and refunded me fully. *** Play N Trade.

On 12/15/13 I bought two (2) items from Play N Trade at 7170 W Cermak Rd, Berwyn, IL 60402: one (1) Ear Force XP400 Wireless Headset $219.99, and one (1) PS3 New Game $59.99. I also traded in an old game for $8.00 credit towards the new game. Once home, I decided I wanted to return the headset. On 12/17/13 I returned to the same Play N Trade and requested to return the unopened, fully-sealed Ear Force XP400 Wireless Headset. I also inquired about an anomalous "Fee" of $13.00 on the receipt, which I had not noticed until that day. I was told that because there was a "Trade In" credit of $8.00 on the receipt, that any refund would only be issued as a store credit - even the $13.00 "fee" which the cashier admitted was an overcharge mistake on their part. I referred the cashier to Play N Trade's Return Policy which is clearly written at the bottom of all their receipts: "New merchandise (Video Games, DVD's, Music Bundles and Accessories) may be returned... within 14 days of purchase with the original sales receipt. Returned merchandise must be in the original sealed box or package with all accessories and manuals and be in salable condition." I also noted that no mention of this trade in/return stipulation was visible anywhere in the store, nor was it mentioned at the time of the original purchase. When the cashier refused to honor his store's refund policy, I asked to speak to a manager. The cashier contacted Mr. Mousa Joudeh (manager) by phone, and allowed me to speak to him directly. Mr. Joudeh also insisted that Play N Trade would only issue a store credit. I left the store with my merchandise and receipt and immediately contacted my credit card company, the Better Business Bureau, and the State Attorney office. I want Play N Trade to honor its own Return Policy. DESIRED OUTCOME: I want to return the Ear Force XP400 Wireless Headset to Play N Trade, and I want my credit card refunded for the cost of the Ear Force XP400 Wireless Headset, as well as any applicable tax on that purchase, as well as the mistakenly charged "fee" of $13.00. The total amount of refund I seek is $252.7891.

Play N Trade: Lie to your face, rob you blind

I used to be a loyal customer, but boy, not anymore. Every single time i go into the local Play N Trade i am lied to. They tell me they compare prices to Gamestop when i constantly find that Gamestop sells the games 5-10 dollars cheaper. nowadays i cant remember a time they actually had a game cheaper than Gamestop. They tell me they have good games in stock, when they barely have anything in their store worth looking at 90% of the time (and absolutely nothing if you want anything other than PS2, Xbox, DS or N64 games. PS3? X-box 360? PS1? Super Nintendo? HAH, better look somewhere else chump) They tell me they are working with me when they offer to take my 3 games off my hands for 5 bucks total, turn around and sell them for 25 bucks each (This is when i stopped trading with them) The final straw was one of there lazy and totally uninterested employees, instead of taking the 30 seconds to price-check with Gamestop (something they have always done before this) instead told me that if i didnt like their price i should just go to another store.(they have exactly one employee worth a *** from my experience, the rest seem insulted that you are wasting their "Pick my nose" time) I probably spent thousands over the years and traded in over 50 games at Play N Trade and it was a huge mistake to do so. If lazy, uninterested employees, an embarrassing lineup of terrible games, way to high prices and frankly insulting trade in offers are your thing, go to Play N Trade. But if you want better options in Cary, i suggest Gamestop for new games, Ed McKays for old games, and the internet for everything.

Manager and store refuse to help me on a item i paid for.

I been along time buyer of play n trade for 3 years. On 3-10-13 was the shock of my life, it starts like this. I have a psp 2001 i got a game for my psp from play n trade around feb 2013. When i got the game and took it home i hook up my psp and i had the menu on screen but when ever i try to play the psp game it will not let me. I spook to the manager Raz steven hampton about the game i paid for he told me that there was a cable that i had to buy that has the blue and green colors.I found that cable on ebay and it took me about 60 days for me to get that cable as this cable i was getting is coming from china. When i got it on late march i hook that one up to my tv and the game was still doing the same thing. I went up to the store and i spook to Raz hampton about the game not wonting to play on my tv set. We were debating if or not if its a system problem or a tv that i got that will not support the psp slim. I ask the manager when is the best time for me to come and get help on with the game i paid for, he said everyday in the week but not weekends. I said ok i will stop by when i get it chance. I stop the the game store on Weds apr the 10th 2013 in the afternoon the manager was there i told him that i got the system and im ready to get this matter fix i said to him. He tells me that i cant help you today becuase i have a ride that is picking me up and i git to go home Raz said. About 3 minites later while i was sitting inn the store to take a rest a costumer stop in to the store. The next thing i know Raz was taken 10 to about 15 mm's to help out a costumer. I said to myself this guy lie to me he said that he had to leave and go home and not he took the time to come out from the back room in the store and he spent 15mms on a costomer who came later 2minites later after me. After that other customer left the store, i ask the manager Raz hampton why did you spent 15 minites helping another costumer when i was in your store first. He said to me well he was a paying costumer and i told him that i am a paying costumer too Mr.Hampton got mad and said that i got things to do i help you as a buyer in the past said Raz. I told him that i took alot of time coming here to get help on a item i paid for from your store, then i just finsh buy saying that you guys seem to not care about nothing but making money in your pockets. Raz Hampton said that maybe this one worker can help me out, so there was no other costumers but myself so i ask the other worker im ready to be help on he saids he has to do something first. 5 minites later costumers started coming in to the shop and the other guy was helping them out 10 minites had passed at the time.I then ask when am i gonna get help on he said i dont know i have to help other costumers first. overall after 20mm to 30mms later i found that these guys were not gonna help me at all. I left out the store saying all you guys can F yourselfs. The manager Raz later runs after me when i was walking in the mall and goning to the fast food area.The mana ger kept caling my name i told him to leve me along he then said i am bannd and im not allow to shop at play n trade anymore. He kept on running at his mouth abd i myself was trying to ignore him becuase i was pissed mad. So thats how the problems begain. I been a good costumer for 3 years now and it was a shock that raz abd the store treaded me like i was a no nobody. it shock me and sad me to see this long term 3 years as a good costumer ending.EWvery time i go the the shop i always was nice to the guys up there in the 3 years as a member of play n trade i never had any problems from no body untill 4/10/13 Wed of last week.I was walking home and i said to myself i never done anything to these people other then being a good buyer like everyone else.Today is Wed's apl 17 2013, 7 days has passed since the shock that i had. I try to get a copy of the stores slip of the psp game i paid for the manager and thw whole store refuse to give me the slip.I contacted play n trade corp in CA i spook to a later and she even was not getting no replys from Raz the manager and doug the rent owner. today i call her and told her that i try sending emails no replys and i try calling the store but everytime i do they hang up on me. They later call the police and had them say that i am not allow to call play n trade or else i will go to jail. I was able to recorder play n trade hanging up on me and the police officer that call me as well as the lady from the play n trade corp in CA who told me that this was out of her hands band the only way to fight is t file a police report she said.I will tell anyone who is a member of play in trade in moorestown mall to not go there any more, just like they did me wrong they can do u too. I will post a video on you tube of the recordings and everything else as well to better understand my story.heres a photo of the manager and item.

The People at Irving, TX Play N Trade are the Worst, AVOID!!

UPDATE 7/21/2012: The PS2 system that I paid $65 for because Play N Trade is too cheap to repair my system made grinding noises, and I went to the store to return it, and one of the associates after \"testing\" the system said \"The problem is not there in front of me, I\'m afraid I can\'t do anything\", and to add insult to injury, one of the people that worked there mocked me by saying \"Oh, this is terrible customer service\" while pretending to bang the counter. This disturbs me greatly that any store would willfully treat their customers this way, and the staff overall is very, very unprofessional to a very disturbing degree, and this is why local businesses are dying, because of stores like this.

Buy from either Estarland.com, Amazon.com, or even Gamestop.com. Gamestop is far better than Play N Trade, despite being a chain retailer, at least they will treat their customers professionally, unlike this train wreck.

Please for god\'s sake avoid these people, they will waste your time, I cannot stress that enough, and they will also waste your gas money from driving back and forth. Do not deal with these people.

This is a very poorly run business where customer service is practically non-existent. I have sent a system for repair, and it has taken much longer than it should have, and I even offered to pay more for the system to get fixed, and they keep refusing, saying that they want to "save" me money, and one guy even said that it does not matter if I pay $1000, $100,000 or a million dollars it take "time", even though it has been in MUCH longer than it should have. I thought businesses were run to make money, no? This horrendous excuse for a "business" is too cheap to hire more than one tech, and there should be at least five techs to split the pressure, instead of having one tech fix 60 systems at once; the business could be run much more efficiently that way. The trade-in values are also complete garbage. Even Gamestop would give the consumer more trade-in benefits than these people. I sent my broken PS2 system 21 days ago, and I have cancelled the repair for it three days ago, due to the lack of progress, which is inexcusable when they have had all of this time to fix one broken part of my system. Five months ago, I have purchased a Sega Genesis system from them, and the system did not work, and I went through the hassle of driving back and forth for two months, telling them that they are using the wrong AC adapter, which is why it will not work. They used the NES AC adapter instead of the Sega Genesis AC adapter, and the system would not work because of that, and finally two months later, they finally figured out that the Sega Genesis AC adapter outputs electricity different from the NES AC adapter, when they should of gotten that right on day one! One other major problem I came across with these people is that they come up with creative excuses one after the next. "Oh, this takes time", "Oh the tech needs to work on 60 other systems", "Oh, the parts takes time" when they had well over two weeks to work on it; what are they going to say next "Oh, my toilet doesn't work anymore."? This is beyond ridiculous, if the tech really needs to work on that many systems, why not hire an additional four techs to split the pressure? There are plenty of certified techs in the DFW area, and I fail to see why this store has so much trouble hiring more techs. If you will offer a repair service, have more than ONE tech!! I should have sent my broken system to Estarland or playstationpros.com at least both of them have a clear charge, and quick-turn around service, and will not play these silly guessing games that these people play. AVOID Play N Trade at ALL costs, these people are a pain to deal with, and the systems they sell are badly beat, and will fail on you, along with extremely poor overall customer service. Once again, do NOT waste your precious time or money on these people, if you need a system fixed, send it to either Microsoft for the Xbox 360, Estarland for older systems, or even Old School Gamer for all systems, including the Atari 2600. One of those services will get your system fixed and working perfectly again before Play N Trade even gets their hands on it, and you will be confident that you saved as much gas money as you will save by doing it this way. After cancelling the repairs, I did not get the broken system back in a timely manner, not only can these shameless people not fix systems within "10 business days", but apparently delivering unrepaired systems back to the store is a chore to them as well, even though nothing further is being done on the system. I have just gotten into an argument with the store manager a couple of days ago, because these people are too lazy to bring back my system that they did not fix, and he starts saying "We gave you a donor system" and then I just said "Never mind, its okay", and the irrational "store manager" said "No, its not okay", but it is him that is not okay, not me. He has a problem, I do not. I gave these people way more than enough time to fix my system. The system he let me borrow while my broken PS2 was collecting dust had front tray missing, and the system was in badly beat condition with sticky power buttons, and a worthless laser that took 4 minutes to load a game. I just went ahead and bought a new system, after cancelling the repairs, and I have to say, they did not deserve those $65 from me for all of the hassle they put me through; they only think about themselves, not the customer. If they really cared about the customer, they would hire additional techs to split the workload and have friendlier staff, which they neither have. These people actually gave me a migraine from all the trouble they have caused me. Not many customers will say that they are willing to pay more to have a system fixed, and I was actually being generous here, but they refused my generous offer, and created excuses to not have my system repaired on time. What a pathetic excuse for a store. Shame on you Play N Trade! I will NEVER go back to Play N Trade EVER again!!! I hope they shutdown soon!
