Called the location and was told nothing can be done until Tuesday. However that still leave me $53 short and $40 negative in my account

I went into the gym last week on Wednesday and asked the guy at the counter if I can downgrade my Planet Fitness membership from a black card to a regular membership he said yes and said it could be done so I went about my day fast forward to now Sunday and I just got charged $53 for no reason and I called and they said I cant fix anything until Tuesday!!!

I belong to the Friendswood,TX Planet Fitness club. The manager and his staff there are GREAT! They are friendly and are always willing to solve any problem that arises. However, I have noticed that there are SEVERAL (9 to be exact) pieces of equipment that have OUT OF ORDER signs on them. I have been going to this location for about 2 years and have never seen so many things that need attention to be fixed as I have as of late. When I ask the staff I am just told that the vendor hasn't made it out but it has been reported. Some have been out of commission for over a month!! This looks really bad for that club as well as Planet Fitness as a whole! I would really like to keep my membership but am considering changing to a different fitness club that can keep up with checking and fixing their equipment periodically. Please fix the equipment here!

I followed exactly what they said to do to cancel my Services subscription, and yet they were extremely rude, and would not even give me my name or let me talk to the manager

I called them to cancel my subscription because I plan on moving and theres no planet fitness anywhere Im gonna relocate to. So I asked them why they were being so rude to me, but they didnt give me an answer so I asked them for their names, but they said, they would not give me their names unless I came in there and this is at around 1030 so at this point I was so upset I came in and only one staff gave me their first name. This makes absolutely no sense because they have all my information including my phone number, my full name, and my address, and yet he too rude to give me his full name because I suspect he knows what he did was wrong and treated the customer that has been paying you guys at this point over $800.

7 day free trial

My wife and I and my mother and father in law just recently moved to Crossville Tennessee United States. My wife and I visited the Crossville Tennessee Planet Fitness where we were given a tour and also told that we could use a week long FREE trial membership at the time of our choosing. I came back 2 weeks later, after being out of town, to start the trial membership upon which I was told that it was actually going to cost each of us $5.00. This is not what we were told by the staff member initially. My wife and I would've used that week to see how the place was and how busy it was with the intention of obtaining memberships for all 4 of us...our parents included. They denied ever offering this FREE trial, so I told them nicely that I dont like being misled and will never do business with Planet Fitness in the future. I think its ABSOLUTELY dumbfounding that they would cost themselves 4 memberships, costing thousands of dollars over the long run, just because they wouldnt follow through on a possible mispoken deal by a staff member. Sorry to bother anyone over this, but I felt it needed to be said here and in our reviews. Thank you.

Refund inquiry

I went in to location tried to cancel was told I had to go to another location which I never signed up at any location. This went on for very long time couldn't get anywhere so I stopped trying. The last time I went into a facility was in 2021 and they still kept take money some months 2 times some 3 times. I would like a refund for services not received.

Cancellation

I am a black card member and I am very upset with you guys. I am able according to your policy to cancel at any time and when I did try to cancel, they said I could not, and I had to give a notarized letter in order to cancel my policy. And I think that is ridiculous. I no longer need the gym. I am living in a place that offers a gym. I need a refund because Im not gonna pay for something that I am not using and I am also not in Florida anymore. Therefore, I cant go to my original gym to cancel. And you guys just left me broke because of this charge now what am I supposed to do?

Ive been going to PF Troy MI 14 mile and John R for a year and a half. Ever since i refused the flirtatious advances of Dee he has been making me very uncomfortable every time i check in or walk out after my workout. He is getting worse. I should not have to be subjected to his nasty comments every time i go there. He needs to stop. I want to officially complain that Dee is harassing me every time. He seems to be trying to get me to say something that gets me suspended but i am reporting him instead. Please help.

Cancel membership

Customer service guy says hes never heard of a $1 sign up fee for $30 days. Says there is a promo that consists of $1 sign up, that cancels all sign up fees and then you are automatically charged for a monthly membership. Manager says that Planet Fitness charges monthly on 17th. That just so happens to fall on the day before I sign up? Right. So what I thought was I pay $1 for a month turns into $26 charge a day later, a manager in Greer, SC that is nothing better than an automated robot and a customer service rep that doesnt understand the corporations deals and is super defensive. Terrible experience and I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau. Planet Fitness=Scam.

No one in this entire department is of mature age, who gets angry quickly even if a little thing is said to them and no one treats them with respect. Whenever you enter, you never call with a respect.

My name - SUKHDEEP SINGH BASRA As I have been coming to this branch for a long time and I noticed that the temperature is cooler in this branch as compared to other branches. I have requested many times. With all due respect to this department that please keep this temperature same and always they avoided me by saying yes. Whenever they have been requested with a respect and as I want to tell you that few It was a day ago a girl started a lot of argument with me and I was threatened that I will cancel your account and today the same thing happened when I was about to go inside they told me that we have canceled your account I want to tell you very humbly that this is one of his misunderstanding due to not being mature. The problem is solved and not increased. Just want to say thank you for restarting my account without my presence. have a nice day.

I received a cancellation of my membership that said it was canceled because I was cursing and disrespectful to the staff. Which honestly is unfair to me because it didn’t start off that way.

I joined the leesburg Fl location and was extremely excited to begin my journey. It has taken me a lot to make it there. I took the black card membership in order to fully benefit from all the gym has to offer. I scheduled a orientation for today at 2:30 my son took longer to get out of school then normal so I was 15 min late so I was told that they have a 5 min grace period but the lady said she would be available Thursday I told her I seen online they have a opening for 530 could I come in at 5:30 I felt the lady wasnt interested in doing the presentation because she proceeded to tell me the orientation was simple and not necessarily necessary. She down played it as if all she was going to do was walk me around the gym I told her that was fine because I have a few questions about the machines being I was new to the gym and wish to benefit from all the gym has to offer. She then said ok just wanted to be sure. I walked away questioning why I had to explain why I wanted a service they offer in the first place? I got in my car at that point feeling completely discouraged, and like this woman had no real interest in doing that part of her job today considering she was pretty persist that I come back on Thursday, as if that was her next available appointment. I had to tell her I seen online she had a availability at 5:30 could I come back then, she didnt seem to pleased but couldnt say no because it was online. so I came back for my 530 appointment upon entering the plaza where that gym is located I got caught at the intersection to enter i found parking and I made it inside the gym just in time literally @ 5:35 remember they claimed there was a 5 min grace period. By the time someone asked what I was there for cause the lobby had ppl, it was 536 I said Im here for orientation and the same woman from earlier who does the orientation decides to address me in front of everyone in the lobby from another register that I was late again! so I told her I was in the building by 535 it was literally only 536, (she seen me when I walked in and she knew exactly why I was there cause I had just seen her and rescheduled a few hours earlier) I explained I got caught at the busy intersection but I was in the building on time. She insisted I was 6 minutes late and she refused to see me but at this point she totally embarrassed me in front of everyone. She was talking across the counter loudly that I was late again! I asked her if she was serious to which she responded yes she was serious. I told her technically It was 536 so with The grace period im 1 minute late being thats when I got called to the counter. and she was adamant about it, I never encountered a person so enthusiastic to turn a new customer away in the manner that she did not once but twice! This interaction really cause me to leave, I was furious because had she came over to talk to me at the register I was at, and not from across the counter I would of rescheduled with no problem being she was holding those 60 seconds against me, the reality was that I already felt dismissed by this woman from earlier and then she publicly humiliated me, I had a lot of my own personal issues going on and it took everything for me to even build the courage to walk back into the gym to start this new journey. At that point I was completely discouraged and outraged. I went to my car still upset and called the manager and yes I was angered and very emotional as I started to explain he instantly began to defend her actions by stating its a 5 min policy. Totally disregarding the fact that I told him of my other concerns and how she never made me feel welcomed in fact she made me feel like I was inconveniencing her by requesting a orientation at all, his need to defend her actions, as a new consumer made me tell him that after talking to him I can see why his employees are so comfortable giving such poor customer service his job as the manager was to assure me the paying customer that my concerns were heard. Instead, I felt like my business didnt matter. People have no idea how hard it is to get to the gym for some people and to be discouraged from the front door was disheartening and not what I expected I told the manager I will be contacting cooperate and was requesting my membership be canceled he was very condescending and notified me that my contract will be canceled, and he will be banning me from that location. when I told him it was my right to contact cooperate if I wanted, and I didn't give a *** about his ban against m, because his complete disregard and condescending approach for how i felt and how I had been treated, was the final straw, he said really now I will go ahead and put a violation against you, and you will be banned from every planet fitness worldwide and naturally at this point I didnt care, I asked him, how would cooperate feel knowing how fast you are to cancel out new contracts, how you deal with upset, disappointed customers. In my opinion management all the way down need to be trained on deescalation because their actions and unprofessionalism definitely, caused me to escalate and match their disrespect along with canceling my membership. I the manger aware that planet fitness is not the only gym and I chose it for convenience but theres a gym by my job and Ill be joining them instead. I am terribly disappointed. I was extremely sensitive but they were completely dismissive and condescending.

Civil lawsuit

I have been a member for over 5+ years with never a single issue or complaint. I have been using the Maumee Ohio location for over a year now. Back in January I started a gym apparel line for men and women. I started wearing it on January 9 2023. Many members loved it and employees also. I sold around 60 units within first few months. 4 different employees purchased t-shirts and hoodies from me. Approximately 8 days ago, a younger employee purchased a T-shirt and wore it to workout in on his day off. So, the two ladies that worked at desk, started complaining about it to him and actually put tape over the F word on the phrase. Which, if you knew my story, I am disabled with two debilitating conditions that are going to end my life. Over 40 surgeries and coded for 177 seconds during brain surgery in 2018. God, put me back in the gym to help motivate, inspire, help others to succeed in their own life journeys. Giving up is not an option. No excuses. So, Tuesday as I was leaving the gym, the manager made a big scene by front desk in front of members and staff about my shirt, even though he has my t-shirts also. He told me I had to make modifications to my apparel in order to keep wearing it. But for over 96+ days, there was never a concern with my apparel. So Wednesday, I wore just a Champion sweatshirt to gym and spoke with him. His exact words to me, and I quote,it doesnt bother him, but he has to stick up for his employee. Which I told him I understood. So right before his shift ended at 10:00 pm, he walked up to me as I was working out with two older gentlemen, and made a scene about the contract I signed, obscene comments, which is not considered profanity that is protected under 1st Amendment. He warned, well threatened, me that his boss Brandon said I better not get legal action. So I said I better leave now before I got upset. Then yesterday, Thursday morning, a Maumee police officer showed up to my home in front of my granddaughters and served me with a no trespassing form at any Planet Fitness in the USA. I showed the cop the shirt, he laughed. He felt that being trespassed was very excessive for a saying on a shirt. Well I have reached out to Civil Right Attorneys and waiting for your reaction to my email before I proceed. I am a disabled person who is protected by ADA and my 1st Amendment rights are protected on clothing also per SCOTUS. I am waiting for your response prior to Kristian Brown from ABC news locally to come to my home for interview. This is all over a personal vendetta ftom one of your employees with another employee. But, I received the blunt trauma from it. My whole family has memberships there and are canceling this weekend. I will have this on the news by next Thursday. I am truly disappointed with Planet Fitness and its embarrassing employees.

Will not allow children under the age of 13 to workout...

I called to see if I could join with my daughter who is under the age of 10 but was recomended by her doctor to do some cardio activities. All I wanted was for she and I to go walk and do the stepper. I was told they WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE under the age of 13 to join! Now how is it that you want to cure childhood obesity but have an age limit even with an adult not leaving their side?! its a load of bs and this company will never be getting any money from me. I even asked if I could bring in a doctors note stating that she needed to workout and would never be without an adult. Was rudely cute off and told it was a corporate policy. I'm beyond livid. So you're telling me you want to not have overweith children but only ones that are teens? Good talk Planet Fitness.
