Ordered an inground pool liner

This company has NO customer service. The liner we have been waiting for that was to be installed today Aug 31. Done waiting, we called for a time and you can never get anyone to answer. Leaving a message we finally get a call back and were told that he was sick so we have to reschedule AGAIN!! THEY only have a crew of ONE??? NO PHONE CALL to let us KNOW! WE are so over trying to deal with this INCOMPATANT PLACE! No complaint line! No head office customer service line? They hide in their office and let the floor staff deal with frustrated customers. I have witnessed and spoke to others that I have seen in the store complaining. AND THEY HAVE MY MONEY UP FRONT AND SITTING ON IT

Nothing has been done to fix my issue. I need to get paid for a failed liner, seam separation. Your manager gave the home owner a new liner, but didn't cover Installation of said liner

Complaint

Ordered and made deposit on a pool Jan 2021. Confirmed in April all was good. June asked if the mid-july install was still good and advised they don't have the pool and I can accept a round one that will not fit the yard or a similar unit costing $4k more. NOT IMPRESSED!be

Salt system installation

The fellow came to install on Thursday about 1.00pm and was told someone had to be home as my wife had to drive me as I am in wheelchair and wanted to talk to him. When we got home I checked pool and there was no pressure on multiport and water was gone out of pool. Why did this happen and found multiport was left to drain and not returned to filter. I have and this is quie disturbing.dealt at Pioneer since you opened. I have tried to call but kept getting sent from phone to phone. Could you kindly send me the phone number and name I could talk to? I will be away tomorrow but will call Monday.

Damages and warranty

Had a liner installed in 2016. I am 70 years old ... and hardly use the pool. When they came to close the pool in2016... the team ripped up my driveway due to the water from the hoses. They told me that this was impossible. Now this summer 2020. the liner is stretched. They indicated no warranty and that the cost for checking it would be 625.00... Company is a slap in the face ... will have to go to court

Extremely Poor service

After purchasing a new liner with install date, communication was beyond absurd with Pioneer. After a frustrated call to them, around 1pm of the install date to try and find out what was happening, i was told they are all open appointments and arrival could be anytime that day. I guess to calm the situation they sent another crew out to pump down and remove the old liner prior to the install crew coming, now for the install, they blasted through it with no care or pride in their workmanship, every one i spoke to was disgruntled due tot the workload put on them. Less is more, means nothing to Pioneer pools. Now to top it off i have a leak in the pool, investigations ongoing but not with pioneer involved. Beware of this company's attitude and workmanship.

Store manager comes through in service!

I purchased a new snap in winter cover from Rymal Rd. Pioneer Pools in Hamilton and didn't like the way it fit. I took some measurements and found discrepancies. A lot of people got involved via e-mails and photos etc. but was going nowhere. Finally assistant store manager Carl Hayes agreed to send my cover back to manufacturer for assessment . Even though they said it was ok, Pioneer (Carl) sent me a new cover from a different supplier. So .... I'm very pleased!! Thanks to both (Carl) and Anna Wiemelink from Rymal Pioneer for the great service! Rick K

Pioneer Should NOT Be On This Website!!!

I have been a Pioneer customer for ten years now. They built my inground and I bought a HotSpring Spas hot tub from them. Not once, have I had any issues. The service crew has always been more then accommodating. Our hot tub was making a weird noise once, and a gentleman came out the next day and took care of the issue at no charge. They are a family owned business and treat their customers as such. I will never go anywhere else. This website is absolutely ridiculous and so are the people writing dramatic comments!

Update on my 2013 Hotsprings tub motor

1. Removed the motor myself - saved the $60 quoted from the Service Tech who never showed up. Took 20 mins to do on my own. 2. Dropped off at electric service company at 7:30 am Oct 1, 2018 ... 3. Received call around 10:30 am that repair is 151... resealed and new impeller only required. A far cry from $1027 quoted from Pioneer for a new one... the only thing they offer 4. Repair completed same day (Oct 1, 2018) and ready for pick up If I had all the work completed by Pioneer over the last 5 years of owning this tub I would be well over $3000. Pioneer should spend more time servicing their customer instead of gauging us ....

Money gouging

- 2013 Hotsprings tub - slow leak - call in for service and the best they can do is 2 weeks in future with no definite time given. Have to give CC for a $140 prepay - Advised I will get call day before. - They do not call - Walk out front door on way to work and Service Tech is there- Great - opens up motor compartment and advises motor has a small leak - without hesitation says he would not go with Pioneer as they will only replace - very expensive. He will disconnect (under the table) for me and I can have rebuilt. Agree on $60 for disconnect - agree on date for disconnect - 2 days later - empty the tub - now almost 3 weeks have passed ... no Service Tech - contact Pioneer and ask for a quote to replace - give name of tech - hope this reminds him - nothing ... in fact I never get a quote - contact again ... again nothing ** finally got a call from them today ... replace is $1027 for the motor plus install plus tax. No stock ...have to order This is ridiculous having to replace the motor... I had a Beachcomber tub for 15 years and had the motor rebuilt 3 times and never paid close to that total for a replacement. *** This is in addition to the issue I had 1 year after purchase when the Salt converter stopped working and Pioneer wanted $1100 for that... tech at that time said your are crazy and reconfigured to not have the salt This is in addition to the replacement of all the jets in the tub as their personnel in the store said no weekly 'Metal Guard' was needed ... this was comment they mentioned when sold as well as confirmed on many occasions while shopping in the store. Needless to say within a couple months all the jets had shown signs of corrosion. Pioneer replace all at their cost ...I was one of many customers misled Pioneer needs to wake up!!! ... - stop screwing the customer- be honest and we will be loyal - stop screwing your employees .... you must be if I have had multiple techs offering to do things on the side as Pioneer prices are outrageous. - respond to inquires from your website in the manner it was asked. Options online for contact are - Call or Text or Email. I selected email every time and regardless .... they called to leave a voice mail I guess one has tp live and learn but I would not purchase from Pioneer ever again Good Luck

Started off ok but went down hill from there

skimmer leak, this year 2018, had a company come in and do a leak test, it was determined that it was leaking from the skimmer. i didn't call Pioneer as they have been ZERO help on other issues they caused, and didn't want the frustration and excuses. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that it not curable, since Pioneer family pool (MARHAM LOCATION) covered the skimmer line with cement. Solution? after paying for a leak detection, cutting to repair the leak, now we need to run an entire new line. price tag over 3000.00 Stay away form that location, i cannot speak for other locations but they are not a good company for after service.

Service Department

I had Pioneer Family Pools come and open my pool on Tuesday June 12th. The filter wasn't working properly and noticed the water level decreasing. By Saturday night, the water level was now below the skimmer and leaking from the filter. I called them Monday morning, they said the technician would call me. I called back Monday around dinner time, was told the same thing. No calls. I called Tuesday at lunch time, they said the technician would call me. I called back Tuesday at dinner time, this time left a message on the machine, no return call. Wednesday the girl who I spoke to on Tuesday called me and started talking to me like she never spoke with me before. I tell her w spoke the she say's Yes your right. She tells me she is going to have the techinican call me. Calls me about a few hours later with a question I answer her, she tells me she will call me back and nothing. I now find someone to come and fix it for me on Wednesday night as we are going on a few days with no filter and hot weather. Thursday, the technician shows up and I'm not here, my pool doesn't have direct access. I call the store and she makes up an excuse that she tried to leave me a message on Wednesday to say he was coming, but couldn't ??? WORST service I have ever had !! They took my money no problem to open the pool and as soon as there is an issue, you cannot get them fix it. Will never deal with them again !

Transfer Warranty Scam

Just read the review of ShawnS and boy is this a familiar story! We also recently bought a home with a Pioneer Pool (pool is about 3.5 years old). The pump was cracked and leaking, the heater leaking, lights in the pool not working, and gauge on the filter not working. Also the *** Jandy equipment. When we called to ask about having it serviced the first thing we were told is that we had to have the warranty transferred....for $500!!! Warranty follows the product not the person! Complete cash grab. So original person who installs the pool pays for their 'lifetime warranty' and then Pioneer makes another $500 off every new owner. When we bought the house we assumed the warranty for everything in it - appliances, windows, etc - when we've had to look into having any of that repaired, we were never asked to pay any transfer warranty...I guess because those manufacturers stand behind their product. If its lifetime warranty its lifetime warranty on the life of the pool not the lifespan of the ownership. On top of it all this whole talk of transfer warranty had nothing to do with our original inquiry (repair of the crap Jandy pump and heater) yet that's the first thing they tried to sell us.

Not impressed

Wow this sounds very similar to the situation I encountered twice with Pioneer, except once they blamed the problem on the fact that they use outside contractors, and it took two weeks to get someone to come in to properly open my pool. In that time as the filter was not running and the baracuda was not working, the pool accumulated so many leaves and so much sludge it took half the summer and hundreds of $ in chemicals to remedy. The second issue was that they had not stored the cover correctly and when it came time to close the pool they riped it, they also did not mention it and closed the pool with a large hole in the cover which if I had not realized would have further damaged my pool. I called to complain and was told there was no report of this and that they would come to change it but I had to buy a new cover.

Poor service call

Recently had Pioneer pools to do tuck of liner for Inground pool. They managed to rip liner, then follow up with poor patch job. Next day Manager from London calls, tell him not satisfied that two students ripped liner and poorly patched. Starts first telling me they were not students, I tell him courses they were attending and suddenly only one is student according to Manager. Tell him poor job to which he starts shouting his men said I was happy when they left, then says I am calling his men liars. I agree somebody must be, then tells me he is terminating call. To date nothing done to fix shoddy patch but they manage to send bill! Almost forgot after shoddy patch they measured the pool on managers instruction, did they really think I would purchase another liner from them after such poor work? Anyway judge for yourself photos attached. Use them at our own risk, I know I will never use them again.

Pioneer Pools Supplied Second Rate Equipment!!

I recently purchased a home with a Pioneer pool approximately 2 years old. During our first summer using the pool both the heater failed and so did a flow sensor. I called Pioneer Pools regarding warranty as I was informed they offer a 3 year warranty on all their installs. I was informed that the warranty needed to be transferred within 30 days if purchasing the pool and they refused to do anything about the clearly low quality equipment they installed. I reviewed the manual supplied by Pioneer Pools when it was installed and there was no mention of warranty transfer. This is a policy they seem to not advertise which I feel is deceptive. I also feel the only reason for this policy is to get out of having to warranty the inferior equipment they installed. It simply doesn't make sense. An inground pool cannot be moved to another location, and all equipment was recorded. I believe these business practices not to be in the best interest of the client. When discussed with management, I found him to be re rude and unconcerned that the equipment he was selling was failing after just 2 years. At one point he even threatened not to service the equipment they installed. Luckily I found another authorized dealer. My 2 year Pioneer pool has cost me over $3000 in repairs which is disheartening. Both items were serviced by trained technicians recommended by the manufacturer and both stated we did nothing that could have caused the failure. The failing equipment is by the brand Jandy and Zodiac. I would not recommend this equipment or Pioneer Pools. ****UPDATE*** My pool is now just under 3 years old and the main pump motor which is Jandy junk is now noisy and likely in need of replacement. This pool is less than 3 years old and costing thousands. Pioneer Pools clearly sells Junk equipment and does not stand behind it! STAY AWAY!!!
