Right now moving to assisted living i would not refer anyone thus is not the first time i have had problems

Review in Home Security category from Duncanville, Texas

Do not use them!!! I was a loyal customer for 6 years and two moves. The original technician who came out said it was a two year contract and if we moved we could either take it with us or the new person could use the service. On our third move we decided to upgrade to something they did not offer. I call to cancel and am told the fee is $250. After 6 years and no mention EVER of a cancellation fee they tell me too bad, if I want to cancel I owe it or they send it to collections!! they said it had just renewed the month before(we had been out of the country so I couldn't call) and too late basically we owe them. Awful, awful company! There is much better so please please do not use!

No restrain, aggressive abuse of power and unprofessional

so i went to the salvation army in Peoria il. last night and someone came in trying to get his things from the shelter next door there was a worker at the door and she let him in the security guard for Pinnacle security services asked him to leave and he keep saying that he was let in and that he just needed to talk to one of the workers and didn't leave so the guard pushed him in the the wall and held him there but the area he pushed him had backpacks on the ground so if tensed up so he would not fall then the guard pulled out his taser gun and put it to his head and told him to "shut up" he held it there for a while before cuffing him. the issue i have is that he put a gun to a man who was unarmed and didn't fight in any way. so i went to the police they told me i needed to know who it was and the company so i went back and i asked him respectfully that i felt what he did was excessive and i was going to file a complaint and i asked for his name and other info he told me he didn't have to tell me any thing and that there were cameras every were and i told him i still felt it was excessive and he told me and Amanda to leave or he would arrest us if we didn't leave and i told him i was calling the police and we left i called and the guy left . so i called this morning and found out what company it was he worked for and the guy on the phone said his name was Scott and i told him what happened and i wanted to file a complaint he told me i didn't know the history i told him it didn't matter the person that was arrested didn't fight in any way and he was unarmed. so Scott said the guard didn't know that. but he had him saved against a wall and couldn't move. he told me to call the cops and they wouldn't do anything. i asked to speak to his boss and e hung up on me. Im just wondering when does it become assault and battery this guard had an attitude from the moment we came in and why did we get banned for asking questions even the guy on the phone tried to ban me. i just don't get it if i did something like that i would go to prison. do these guards company have no accountability for the way there guards act and do the guards them self's have any accountability for there actions. im not saying he shouldn't have been arrested just that the guy was in a bad mood already and was excessively violent and had no restraint he should not have put a taser to someones head who was not fighting and he shouldn't have rammed like he did. I wouldn't hire them to watch my cats.

Fraudulent Service

I bought service fron a representative in 2010. I called to ask about transferring my service in 2011 to another home and was told it would not be a problem and they serviced the area to which I was moving. Not! They couldn't even service Louisiana. I was still being charged monthly while they "found a round about way to service Louisiana" and not they are placing me in collections for that amount even though I started a new contract with the company that bought them out. This company is very fraudulent and I'm glad they were forced to stop tricking people into buying their services.

Dishonest Company!

A year after I discontinued service and moved out of state, Pinnacle came after me for the remainder of the contract. To my knowledge the new owner of my home picked up the contract. Because I could not prove that they did continue service (more than a year later), my account was forwarded to a collection agency. After many calls and debates, it was clear that I was not going to win, so I paid the bill to get them off my back. That was 2013. I received another letter today that my bill had been referred to another collection agency and they demanded payment. After being hung up on once (Omega), they informed me that I was liable for the full amount, unless I could prove that I had paid. Luckily I had the receipt from more than a year ago for service that was in mid 2012. This company and its parent Devcon Security are pirates! The security systems they sell are meant to keep these types of people out of your homes. Stay clear of them.

Review about Customer Service Line

They scam u and keep charging ur account. I plan to get the better business bureau involved. Not to mention NO ONE answers the customer service line.

Fraud, Plain and Simple

They tell you it's free to install the service, no contract requirements. I signed and when I cancelled they kept charging me, I called to cancel a second time and ask for my money back and only then was informed I was supposedly under a 4 year contract (even though I had informed the representative I was moving in a year). Their "contract", that I was sent after the fact, allows you to cancel in a one month period before renewing immediately and if you cancel at any other time you have to pay in full the rest of the term. Pushy door saleman who lies

Door to door salesman comes to my home. I told him I couldn't afford $65 a month because I am a widow with 4 boys. He was still so pushy and sat in my home for hours listening to me tell him i had no checking account or money for the system. He told me my bill would be $25 a month just to help me out but really he was helping himself to the commission. Now my credit is more ruined than before . Clearly I didnt qualify for a system. The door to door sslesman was too too aggressive, a little scary and would not take no for an answer. I'm not one who would slam the door in anyone face but now i wish i would of.

Pinnacle sold my alarm contract to another company

Just phoned Pinnacle to find out when my contract was up only to find out my contract was sold to another company without my knowledge or consent. Some company is withdrawing money from my account and I have no idea who it is. They can be damned sure I will be putting a stop payment on that immediately! I received no notification of this change and did sign any documents giving my consent for Pinnacle to give or sell my contract to anyone else. When I phoned the number I have for them I was sent to a company in the US and given a website to contact.That is no way to run a business.As they broke their contract with me I think they should reimburse me from the date they sold my contract.

Reimbursement of two months

Pinnacle security system sold my contract to Safe security . I paid Pinnacle a year in advance and after canceling the contract with Safe security after 10 months I had a reimbursement of two months coming. Both companies say the other owes me the money as they do not have the original payment. I just keep getting the run around! It is outrageous these companies can steal from people and get away with it! One wonders about the integrity of these companies. I have spent hours on the telephone with these two companies and have gotten nowhere with either one of them. The lies they continually spin are unbelievable!x

Please read below

I been with pinnacle last year you sold me out to monotronics.when talking cover of dis[ last week on Wed. 2 guys came to me house and showed ID that they were from Pinancle and said about me coming back and I had low battery, they showed me the battery and said they said they would have man stop on Saturday to replae battery and for coming back my monthy payment would go down to $35 a month. None of the above happened no men, no battery, no new signs. Where these guys imposters they had right ID stuff please contact ASAP.

Dazzle DVD Recorder

This *** claims to be able to record gameplay. That parts true, doesn't mention the fact that what it records is choppy gameplay(it drops frames a whole lot making it look like some horrible edit of cut scenes). I played my PS3 using this and the result was a horrible formatted video(lowest quality). It was blurry as ***, I couldn't even see the letters in the game! I actually figured out what the issue is, Dazzle records from Y/W/R cords which are bad quality to begin with. It just makes it even worse. They are scamming everyone who buys it, even more if they buy that "upgraded" *** on their site. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 'Y/W/R' HIGH QUALITY RECORDER! DO NOT BUY! The images below are of the product and the result. That blurred to *** image is of CoD: BO. You should see how terrible the video looked afterwards(all messed up, could almost be mistaken for a slideshow of images!).

Ridiculous company

I was dooped from the start with this company. Their sales reps came to my house and acted as though they were with my current company and informed me they were going to upgrade my system for free. After their speal about how great it was going to be and whatnot, the contract came out and I signed, because 'all I had to do was sign up for ANOTHER 39 months'. I thought nothing of ANOTHER 39 months because I was happy with my alarm company and knew I wasn't planning on moving anytime soon. I was also informed at that time that if I had any problems within the 39 months that I needed to send in 30 days notice and a fee would be initiated, depending on how far into the contract I was. I was informed that after my initial 39 months I could cancel at anytime, without notice. I was REALLY shocked when AFTER my contract was signed and called in, they brought out the PINNACLE folder. I asked if they had bought my first alarm company out and that's when they explained they were completely unrelated to my original company. Anyway - from there it just got worse. Horrible customer service, at all times! I was rarely treated kindly or spoke to with respect. I changed to another alarm company recently and I was out of my initial 39 month contract. I sent in notice to cancel immediately but low and behold I was charged for 2 months AFTER I cancelled. I tried calling them and was essentially told 'so what, it's in your contract lady'. Needless to say, it's NOT in the contract and it's NOT what their people will tell you. I wrote into the BBB and filed a complaint. So far, all that I have gotten back from Pinnacle is lies...although for once they are at least being professional. They refuse to give a refund, even though THEY are completely in the wrong. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND THE NEW COMPANY THAT HAS TAKEN THEM OVER.

Pinnacle Security is pure garbage

In October 2009 we had a pinnacle alarm system installed in our house. I was told that the first 6 months was free and that i would be on a 2 year contract after that 6 months and could cancel at any time. The alarm would set off for no apparent reason countless times in the first year and a half we decided to stop using the piece of ***. The police actually got called out 2 of those times and because i was at work wasnt able to cancel the alarm or the cops from showing up. As a result my wife called and told them that we would like to cancel as we were told by the salesman that we could cancel at anytime which was complete ***. So we thought that our contract was cancelled but it wasnt, we got locked into another 2 years which runs out in 4 months. After calling the company and explaining our situation we were told that we should have read the contract and that the only way to truly cancel is to write a letter and fax or email. So in short this company is THE worst company we've ever had to deal with, the employees at the call center are rude ***, the salesman are lying pieces of ***, and the actual alarm system *** And yes i know we should have read the contract but when a representative of the company tells you one thing most people believe it. I guess there is a couple of positives with this *** 1. Dont be so trustful with salesman 2. READ THE *** CONTRACT INSIDE AND OUT Thank you Pinnacle Security for teaching this valuable life lesson you *** suckers, i hope your company goes right down the *** where it belongs. Love Jay

CANNOT REACH TECH SUPPORT !!!!!!

MY ALARM GOES OFF ERRONEOUSLY. In the last month it has gone off at least three times, when I'm AWAY FROM home. BUT, when I check my phone log, their is not a message from tech support. I was on the phone one SOLID hour just trying to get someone to talk to. I listen to soothing music and get several recorded messages...BUT... TECH SUPPORT DID NOT ANSWER. FINALLY, after that hour I was able to speak with someone. If the police are dispatched, their is a $50.00 fee. There is no visible reason that the alarm is being activated. So I need tech support to fine the problem.
