Broken Prowler Pool Robot

Pool robot has broken 3 times in less than 2 years. I have reported the problem with no solution from Pentair. My warranty expires next month, and I feel they're waiting it out so they wont have to repair or replace the unit. Stay away from Pentair. They don't stand behind their products and care less about customer service. Just check the reviews online and with the BBB. It says everything you need to know about Pentair.

Water filter Gac-10

I have emailed Pentair at least 3 times and no reply. I have purchased Pentair GAC-10 activated carbon granular cartridge from Amazon which is made in China. On this cartridge there is a warning label. Which I have a concern. I would like to know if this cartridge is ok to use? I would appreciate an answer. Thanks

They Are Horrible

Bought a water softener alternative system for my home 2 years ago. Had auto deliveries for my filters. Seems that's no longer the case. Would have been nice had Pentair reached out to it's customers to let them know this. Now they no longer sell to residential folks like me, and not only that, but you also cannot get a hold of anyone in their customer service to find out where to get your filters from. Total bs if you ask me. Had I known this would happen, I surely would not have spent over $3k for a water system just to be thrown aside like I don't matter. I am pissed off. Pentair is a total nightmare and a joke. I would have been better of going to Home Depot and buying their system. At least they aren't going anywhere.

Product doesn't work they don't care

I purchased a pentair 125 pool heater to replace an existing pentair 125 that had a bad heating coil. New unit arrived undamaged. When hooked up the gas doesn't light. I called they said I voided warranty by installing it myself. The supplier said I have a 60 day warranty. Called beck they admitted I have a 60 day warranty. Now I have to pay a technician to come and repair it. Send it to pentair and they decide if they pay. They could care less and dump the responsibility on you. I spent another 800.00 and repaired my old pentair 125 and it works perfectly in the same spot.be

Heater

I have been a pool owner for 50 Years, I always had Haywood products.each component of filter system seemed to last forever.!t ran trouble free for 10 to 15 years. A little under 3 years ago, I had a new pool installed. Within 3. Months the filter pump needed to be replaced. The pool installer got it replaced at no cost, just inconvenience The next year opening, did not go well. My $4,000 heater failed to work. Again it was replaced under warranty. Just inconvenience again. Last year it worked, however this year, the control valve on the top of the tank developed a crack on the inlet side, so now it leaks quite a bit. Now I try to turn on the heater, and it doesn't work again, this time it is a different problem. My installer, who also owns the company, does not return my calls. I am having trouble getting to a live person at Pentair. I know in this day and age nothing is built to last, but I think it should function for a few years.

Constant problems with Pentair equipment and its non support team

If you are considering using or buying Pentair equipment, DO NOT !!! Absolutely awful consumer service. Equipment is always failing. I am an new owner of a pool, less than and year, and I have to repeatedly call and have someone service the Pentair system to keep it running. If you are adding a pool, PLEASE DO NOT let your pool installer use a PenTair system. They have long wait times to reach anyone on the phone with service, (probably because there are so MANY people having problems and are unresolved with this equipment) because their equipment is terrible.

Defective Product

Pentair Globrite LED lights are known by the company to be defective, yet they continue to sell them without any correction. The lights fail in less than a year due to water leaking into housing. There is a design flaw they know about. The "O" ring fails and other water intrusion points on the housing allows water in. These lights are expensive and fit into a priority designed housing so no other manufacturers lights can be used

I have UltraTemp Heatpump (PN460961) for my...

I have UltraTemp Heatpump (PN460961) for my inground pool. I try to set up the temperature at the desired level but when I hit the Up Arrow, nothing happens...the display is blinking tell me the command is received but the temperature is not increasing on the display. I've been told the board might have to be replaced but it's very expensive and not easy to find. Please confirm and help. Thanks

They refused to uphold their warranty

I was able to get the chlorinator into diagnostic mode and resolved the issue. There is too much salt in the water most likely from a faulty water test.

As well the water has too much phosphates. No where does Pentair mention the diagnostic mode.

This does not resolve the warranty issue though. Pentair needs to uphold their warranties and have better customer service.

My intellichlor failed after a year and was under warranty. When I contacted them I was told it was not covered because it was purchased at the Pentair store on Amazon. Nowhere on the Pentair store at Amazon does it tell you it voids the warranty. As well their warranty registration card does not tell you this. I should have looked at all the negative reviews. Most of them were about the warranty. As well there are many negative reports on the better BBB website.

Pentair Pool Tech Broke Pool Parts & did not FIX it!

Dear Pentair Pool CEO, Mr. Stauch: I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I recently received from your company. We recently had a technician from your company come to our home to repair our pool, but unfortunately, the technician not only broke a pool part but also did not fix the Easy Touch, Salt Cell, resulting in the pool not running at high speed. We are extremely disappointed with the service we received, especially given the reputation of your company. We expected better from a company as reputable as yours, and we are very dissatisfied with the current state of our pool. We urgently request that you send a technician to our home as soon as possible to fix the issue properly and ensure that our pool is functioning at its full capacity. We also request that you take the necessary steps to ensure that your technicians are properly trained and equipped to handle these situations and prevent them from occurring in the future. We hope that you will take this matter seriously and take immediate action to resolve this situation. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

VS pool pump 3 years old and it has been troublesome from day one.

I bought a Pentair VS pool pump in 2/2020. Had trouble with it tripping the ground fault breaker daily. Called the pool company who installed it out and they said it was the drive. They replaced the drive and it would only trip once a week now. Tried replacing the breaker, that did no good. Called an electrician to be sure that it was grounded properly etc. Still no better. This was a replacement pump, and we never had an issue with the original pump. Learned to live with it tripping about once a week. Go to open the pool this year and it will only run 10 minutes before it trips. Local people we bought it from says there is no warranty on it, not much we can do.

Garbage costumer service. Garbage product

Bought a pentair pool heater and the mother board melted the first week. Had it replaced. Lasted 2 weeks. Same issue. The mother board melted. Pentair blamed it on hard water. Sent proof of the water chemical levels to pentair and they decided to deny the warranty anyway. $1500 dollars worth of garbage. Will never do business with pentair again and will make sure anyone I know will never buy pentair.

Wosrt product and Customer service ever

I ordered a complete whole house water treatment system and the product started misfunctioning within the first year. Parts were replaced however the system still malfunctioned. Called the company several more times about the control box lights blinking and sounded off for varisous malfuntions. The company requested pictures which I sent and determined a new control box was needed to correct the problem. The order for the control box was put in and I received a confirmation of it. Days past and I had not received the control box even though I was told it would take 5 business days. When I called back i was told it was delayed because of weather and lack of workers. I called back a couple of times and they gave me the same answer. They also told me not to call them back and just wait on the FedEx shipping confirmation email. After two months I stilll have not received the FedEx confirmation. I called Pentair back and spoke to one of the Reps who stated he could see my order but could not explain what was going on with it at all. I asked him to connect me with a higher level supervisor which he did forward my call. This person did not answer however, I left a voice mail explaining my situation and asked for him to call me back. After waiting for the return call for over one week I decided to write the Better Buisness Bureau to alert them of this company dishonest business practices and try to get some resolution. To date my bacteria detection device is not working which allows ecoli and other contaminents to enter the house water system. It appears Pentair does not care about this and just want you to order their products.So my advice to anyone who is considering this company is to not to entertain using them even if the price sound fairs. Read the negative reviews. They are all true!

08/31/22 - Bought the PSE2000. SUPPER SAVINGS - MATCHED HOME DEPOT + 5% MILITARY. $2549.00 + TAX of $221.76 = $2770.76. & Shipping Separately a promised 4 pack of Filters, which sealed the (one on one) phone DEAL/ Conversation with DTC Sales Consultant - Mr. Jeff Martin. Everything came & works great. ----- 09/07/22 - Only 2 Filters arrived. ----- Every week I've been texting, reminding, but to no avail! ----- 01/21/23 - My complaint is, as of this date. I have not received the 4 pack of filters which were promised! SO, SO MUCH FOR TRUSTWORTHY, VERBIAGE / EMPTY PROMISES, JUST TO MAKE A SALE! Sincerely, Frank Durkin
