I’m confused

There is a sign on the Ancaster store door Buy one of our reusable bags and beside that there is a sign that says no reusable bags allowed in store???

Resolved: Refund for non-working products

I received my refund today finally. No one called me to offer appologies but whatever, at least I got my money back and I still will not shop online there anymore.

So I purchased 6 FNAF blind bags that had flashlights in them. First off $7 for a flashlight that has no batteries so once they die they are no good! Anyway, all but one did not work at all! I bought these for my sons bday giftbags and had to find something else (needless to say my son was upset). Contacted Customer Service they said a refund will be processed. Waited 10 days...nothing. Called back, after what seemed like forever for them to check on this, the guy said yup refund was processed just give it a few more days. Going on 2 weeks now and just called today, after being put on hold to find out about refund (cause apparently it is not in plain sight) the girl said that she saw the refund but it had not been processed so she sent it to the refund department to process right away. Are you freakin kidding me!!!? How hard is it to get a refund done and actually give someone the correct info when they call about it??? I will never order online from them again. Absolutely incompetent

Native American costumes

I was at the party city in St. Catharines and we found bunch of Native American costumes in the back. My husband is native and he was displeased. The staff at the store were awesome but I did the party city survey and gave my feedback about the costumes being offensive and there is no other nationality used as a Halloween costume at the store and I recieved and email that said “Thank you for the email. Party City has costumes for all types of Halloween customers, and nothing we carry is meant to be offensive.”. I responded to the email that that is a very poor response and the costumes offend many and I went on for a long email and no response. No interest at all off their part. I found the response ignorant and pandering to the lowest common excuse of its ok to offend if you didn’t mean to. I will not shop there anymore

Balloons are an environmental atrocity

On world environment day I see a massive TV ad campaign for Mylar balloons. They do not break down. Ever. I pick up about 10 a week on the shore of Lake Ontario. Stop buying this product. Party city stop selling this product.

Thieves!

Party City will take your money but NEVER DELIVER your order. They do not answer the phone. They do not respond to your emails. They just take your money. Worst experience I have ever had. Party City is a total scam. I place an order a week ago. I paid for product and express delivery. I received two emails confirming the order was received and that the money was withdrawn from my account. As of today, the order has not shipped. I have followed up through the "Contract Us" tab on their website. No one has responded to my submissions. I have called a dozen times. There is NO ONE to answer the phone. Party City should be reported to law enforcement authorities for taking your money but not delivering the product.

Greedy staff/manager

At Party City ( (Weston Rd. & Highway 7, Woodbridge) I placed an order last week for my son's birthday and when asked about the weights, I told the staff that I will bring my weights with me at the time of picking up the order. on the picking up day, an employee refused to use my weights to hold the balloons and when I asked why, another staff member (manager or supervisor) said that they will tie the balloons to the weights purchased from them only! And the funny thing is that when I asked why, she said it is a liability issue. But this person does not recognize that the liability is more on them if I take the balloons without weights and fly out. Big and respectful companies do not force their customers to buy certain products. I found the behavior of the staff member irresponsible and out of courtesy and furthermore unjustifiable.

Awesome customer experience!

For the last 2 years I've been shopping at Party City in PoCo, BC and every experience has been positive. They really know how to communicate and care for customers and I appreciate their help despite being busy and appearing short staffed. The manager, Jack is respectful and really knows how to communicate effectively with customers and I felt he went above and beyond to make my experience as positive as it did. Even to say "wait here while I go get products for you" really does make for a positive shopping experience. It takes the sting out of how much $$ us customers are spending in the store and for that I thank you. :)

False price

I bought 25 pieces of lollipop with a price of $1.29 each as indicated in the tag price. When I paid to the counter, it appears that the price is $1.99. So that customers will not be confused, they should indicate the exact price of the items in the tag price.

Ripped me off did not get my package in time or at all! Speedy shipping I payed extra!

Hello this is the third message I cannot believe you guys work like this! I payed extra shipping and you don't even get it here I have yet to talk to Anyone yet who will rectify the situation like this is ridiculous I want my money back and I'm going public social media whatever it takes to know what you guys did. Let alone you have multiple stores in Canada and I'm in Canada but you shipped from the states and tried to just drop it at a pharmacy asking who I was are u serious with the couriers you have!

Cashout with no balloon orders

Hi, It's the obseine how a sales rep refused to dedicate one cash with no balloon orders to make the service fast. Raveen at Richmond Hill, ON Location was really rude and held the line for more than 30 mins wait. It was the worst customer service and I would never go to party city specially this locations. It's the stupidest idea of having order line up and make regular customers wait longer while the baloon order customers are being dealt and the regulate merchandise cash out without at baloon orders have to wait 1 hour to leave the store. Really pathetic !!!!!!!! There were 15 people Waite

Shipping RIPOFF

I ordered from PartyCity.ca and they claim they ship from somewhere in the U.S. so they charged me $21.95 plus almost $10 in duties and taxes. I get my shipping notification. The items were shipped from Mississauga, which is about an hour and a half away from me. I emailed them asking why I was charged for duties and taxes and insane shipping costs when you are shipping from Canada ... the response I get just said they ship everything from the U.S. and that is why I was charged that. The tracking doesn't lie. Party City's customer service however.... Anyone curious the shipping number is: 200160****114554 on Canada Post's website. It clearly never crossed the border and was picked up by Canada Post in Mississauga and they have no response to give since they are busted. If it crossed the border the tracking would say it went through customs. PartyCity.ca = Busted.

Ignorant Manager

went to a scarborough location (8 Lebovic Avenue) went in to purchase some things for na upcoming party. I was looking at some things and my son ws beside me looking at the wind up toys for loot bags. He had wined up some of them to see which ones he liked. As we were standing there looking at them this man walks by and stops ...he proceeded to grab them all and put them back into the compartments!! i was so stunned by what he had don. I was about to tell him that his actions were totally uneccesary but he just stormed off! I didnt think that looking at wind up little toys was going to offend anyone let a lone a "manager"?! When we got the the cahier she was nice..she called over a manager ...and there he was...the same rude and ignorant *** who grabbed the toys and put them away because my son had wound them up! I was so upset that he did that i wanted to ask him does he always do that to SPECIAL needs children?! I would have loved to hear his response. He needs to get some MANNERS! and to learn how to behave towards customers in the store. If hes having a bad day do not take it out on others. Disappointed Customer

Party City is definitely the go to place for all of your party supplies, however, from the middle of Sept to Oct 31, they should change their name to Halloween City. This is all they seem to care about! There's more going on than just Halloween! Good luck in getting the simplest of supplies. All I wanted was a disposable black bowl with a plastic lid.....no go! They pack everything away to make room for Halloween. I understand they need to make room, but if a customer is requesting a certain item, the staff should be able to get that item whether it's on the shelf or not! "I'm sorry, everything is packed away to make room for Halloween." I can see packing away summer decorations...luau etc, but seriously, things people need on an ongoing basis? Very disappointing!
