Hire if you want disappointed family.
Hired this company to provide a Stormtrooper for my best friend's Celebration of Life. After ghosting me for over a week about my request for the actor to email me a photo of them in costume (to check the quality), I received a text that said they were "having trouble reaching the actor in my area." The next day, I received a cancellation. Judging from the other reviews, I'm guessing it was probably another child actor in a Wal-Mart costume. Luckily, Star Wars Indiana came to the rescue AND the money that would have gone to this business, went to charity. Stay far away from this scam.

Horrible!!! Do NOT BOOK!
I am highly disappointed in the poor service of Spiderman attending my son birthday party yesterday. I thought it was a joke when the young boy showed up, stating that he was Spiderman. He asked for the money before he even get dressed (which now i can see why). I really did not believe him and had to walk to his car. The kids asked why is spiderman in his pajamas...it was dirty as well. Unfortunately, the spiderman was NOTHING like the picture! I am most annoyed/angry that I wasted $220 to book with your company only for you to send out a person to show up and do really nothing. He had the kids doing push up, squats and played tug a war ( which he asked me the name of game)! He stood there and also asked me what to do...I reminded him that's his job and I paid $220 for him to entertain the kids for an HOUR!! His interaction with the kids only lasted 20 minutes!!! He sat down, the reminder of the time, and talked. The description of what he should have done is NOTHING like what he did. I was scammed out of $220!!!

After tears and many phone calls and texts, I finally gave up that the characters were actually going to show for my little boy's 4th birthday party. Our entire party was based around this and I ordered backdrops for photos etc. I booked them WAY in advance (3 months) and they quickly processed my deposit that day. I even received emails with pictures of the actual optimus prime and bumblebee that would come to our home. Devastated is an understatement when I received a TEXT from someone claiming BOTH entertainers had an emergency and would not make our party. How could anyone with a conscious do this to families and children over and over with no remorse??. It is very sad. I pray hard for God to work on the hearts of those behind these schemes and this holding company so they may stop being greedy, ask for forgiveness, and pursue a more honest way to earn their money.

Never booked this that this company again they were horrible had my daughters first birthday party here Moana showed up late she was 12 years old so technically this child labor the original Moana had a family emergency!!! They called me two days prior and added an additional travel say show me still book them for the following year for monsters Inc. Sully. Two days before the party they add a additional fee to travel and I was not happy about it. After that they than didnt bring any supplies with him and had to use my music and supplies. They decided to do a half hour of a ghetto clown that was not great

Worst experience ever!! These fools called me 2 days before my sons 3rd birthday party to tell me they didn't anticipate not being able to find my Baby Shark character and so they basically didn't have time to get one for the party and offered another character. Seriously....Complete Baby Shark decor and favors with a dancing Mickey Mouse or Paw Patrol is what they offered me...."No thanks, just my $62.90 refund please!" That was Nov. 27, 2019....and here it is Jan. 2, 2020.....lots and lots of phone calls and promises and I have yet to receive my money back.....i'm still calling!!! NEVER AGAIN with them and I HOPE everyone reading this review takes heed and finds another company. The only reason they are getting one star is because they can't receive a zero (0)!!!

My daughter was turning 4 & had requested Ariel in her mermaid tail. So the hunt began. I booked through Party Characters for kids not knowing the mess this was about to cause. They were so quick to get me on the phone and take my deposit of $62.00. Weeks had gone by and I had not heard from “Ariel the mermaid”. Sent a few emails to party characters for kids - very little communication back - was told “the entertainer was told to contact you” Time went by and again - no “Ariel” sent another email to Party Characters for kids. The performer called 2 days later. A man. He then Sent a picture of “Ariel” I wasn’t blown away with the picture but said eh - its now less then 2 weeks b4 my daughters party. Now - 2 days before the party I am told Ariel can’t make the times she previously agreed to. And now wants to come hours later - well our party would be over by the time Ariel showed up - so what does Party Characters for kids do? THEY CANCEL! 2 DAYS before 20 kids enter my backyard! My husband came to the rescue and got on the phone with every mermaid he could find in NJ in such a short period of time and we got a “Ariel”. Now 23 DAYS since they’ve cancelled on us - I am still waiting and fighting for my deposit. I’ve sent numerous emails asking for it & I keep getting told “they are looking into it” I’ve hired entertainment every year for 4 years for my daughters birthday party - NEVER had I had a problem! Until now! Save your $$ do your research! DO NOT BOOK WITH PARTY CHARACTERS FOR KIDS!

Horrifying and worst experience ever
I booked spider guy for my kids birthday yesterday Aug 10 @ 5PM. This person showed up but he didn't bring any music/loudspeakers or games for kids. While I booked this character , I was told by the customer care that the person will bring his own loudspeakers etc and will first do some performance and then play games like musical chair etc and the character will bring everything on their own. As a host we don't have to arrange anything. I was highly disappointed when this person showed up saying his speakers are broken and doesn't have them. Also he will only dance and no other show or games. he didn't bring stuff for the games. I immediately called the customer care to explain the situation, the customer care told me to wait for couple of minutes and they will connect the vendor company and arrange a replacement. But i never got a call back. After few minutes , I called up again but this time customer care wasn't helpful, he didnt acknowledge the situation or did something about it. He told me cancel the reservation but all my guests were there so I had to continue with this person Then this guy showed up wearing his dress but i thought the person will at least look like the spider man. This performer was too fat to wear this skin hugging spider man dress. He looked so awful in it. Else he didn't entertain the kids and was there just for 30 min. and we paid the entire amount for 1 hour show My whole party was ruined up and had such a bad experience. This was my first time booking reservation with this company and I will never ever recommend it to anyone Neither the performer nor the partycharacter.com were supportive throughout. The money was total waste. It was a complete scam for me.

Poor Experience
I’m an entertainer hired by these guys for an event they said was in Fort Worth, Texas, which is where I live. I got to the address I was given only to find out it was incorrect. Upon making contact with the customer, I found out they were located 5 hours away from me! Now the customer is pissed at me and it’s not even my fault! Even worse is that a kid was left hanging!

I booked on November 26th 2018 and later booked 2nd character in December 14th. In both booking I was asked my zip code , Citt and location address of the party . I got a confirmation picture of both characters . Winnie the Pooh and either a male clown or a female. They confirmed what they sent me in the pictures is exactly what I would be getting! I repeated exactly what they told me back to the reps and they confirmed . 4 days prior to my sons birthday they started calling to let me know they had to upcharge me $44 of which they was going to cover $25 for the Winnie the Pooh Mascot to get a vendor to travel 2 hours . We agreed and said fine since it’s my sons 1st birthday and I had been doing research for months trying to book already on my own and had no luck finding any without paying $300 each character. I aalready was paying $160 each character plus tip. They kept calling me with bull *** excuses like it’s not their fault cause they didn’t have the addesss or zip code ! Lies !! All my confirmations emails that got sent by them the same day I booked has the zip code , city and location address ! They would call me just to tell me they are going to call me back ! I got fed up and called them to also check on the Winnie the Pooh character only to find out they had the same issue and never once spoke about it with me ! I went off on them and asked for the manager which of course they said call back in 15 minutes he is on break. I called back in 20 minutes and he refused to get on the phone . The rep just said he has your information he will call you back . I called 2 more times 2 hours later and nobody answered my calls or messages . His name was Mark! It is now Wednesday and still no phone call! They Had 2 months to find a Winnie Pooh Mascot and 1 Month 1/2 for the clown! They never bothered and tried to find them 4 days prior to my sons birthday and tell me then! Which gives me NO time to book anyone !!! They are liars , unprofessional , and have no customer service !! I will never book with these people again ! It’s a freaking disgrace what they have done for my child’s 1st birthday ! They have completely ruined it ! The manager Mark has yet to call and they even had the nerve to question me why I was canceling today ! I have a deposit I obviously need back and don’t want to get screwed by them saying I didn’t cancel on time !

It's a fake website! not liable and not trustable! Had a horrible experience with them! they changed the mascot that I picked at the last minute and then they cancelled the whole thing! they claimed that all the activities of face painting, reading stories, etc are not available. in fact the don't provide that activities at all! their website looks neat! I reserved with them after a big search because I thought I got the best offer! I booked with them to let the kids have interaction with the character not for a character to only show up! The only available activity that the mascot showing up and giving high five! contact your local vendors to bring a character for a party! worst customer service and rude supervisor!

No show, Baby 1st Birthday Party
This company was the worst I have ever dealt with, they took my deposit, then call three times after my reservation was confirmed trying to get me to change my time. I said no, then they sent two text first saying they will be 45 min late, second text, they were stuck in traffic, as the party continued I kept texting and calling no response from the preformer. I began to panic the party was coming to an end desperately tryied to reach the performers no luck, many disappointed kids and the embarrassment was horrible.

THEY JUST CANCELLED 3 DAYS B4 EVENT
I ordered a character for my grandson's 4th birthday over a month ago. Now, here we are, three days before the event and I just got a phone call that they have to cancel. Communication from this company is substandard and I would never advise anyone using their services.

I wish I would’ve seen the other reviews first but unfortunately I only saw the reviews on their website. Booked a month in advance and was told performer would contact a day or two before event to nail down details (probably verify time :/). No call...I called the day before and was told not to worry someone would call and would definitely be there. It was scheduled for 3:15- I I contacted company at 3:25 then spent the next hour on and off the phone trying to find out what was going on. I missed half of my son’s 3rd birthday and appeared rude by being on the phone the whole time! FINALLY the character showed up an hour late and showed me an email that said the party started at 5:15. He asked for the money before he would even get dressed (which now I can see why). He couldn’t walk without assistance, just stood there and played peek-a-boo with his hands the WHOLE TIME! I was told he was going to dance, play games with them (that he was in charge of and take pictures....he took pictures with them). When I asked him about it he told me that it was just an appearance or meet and greet, which didn’t include those things!!! This was a TOTAL RIP-OFF and when I tried the call the following Monday I talked to the same useless customer service people that were no help during the party. I was told he would have a manager call me and that was 6 days ago! I sent an email and no reply!!!! Do not use these people!!!!

Do not use this company. They LIE LIE LIE. Never answer the phone. They Say they are sending what you asked for and you find out the DAY OF your not getting what you wanted!!!!!!!!! Use someone locally not these people!!!!!!!!!! When you call and leave a message no return phone call. I'm not sure how they can get away with pulling this crap on people. Once they get your deposit your on your own. Just hope the day of someone shows up. Most likely not what you asked for but what are you going to do at the last min. and that's how they work.
