Request for refund
How are you! I am writing to request the refund for editing my manuscript named " the role of sustainability perceptions on brand values and loves: A comparison between outdoor and fast fashion brands." I got the editing results and came up very disappointed. I asked to look for the sentence structure, connection, transition between each section instead of grammar. But I only received the revised grammar. I can ask my American professor to look at the manuscript and come up with similar results. What I expected to get from this editing site is to have my paper ready to be published instead of just fixing grammar. Plus, it is too expensive to pay for fixing grammar. So I request to either get a refund for editing or have another editor look at my manuscript again for other results. I will look forward to hearing back from you soon

Low quality service, horrible attitude
I placed an order after trying their free sample. However, the one who edited the full article is not the one who worked on the free sample. And the full article is edited in a very careless way. She only did minor changes, and she kept changing my words in a very inconsistent way. For example, I wrote "the investor only invests up to 10% of her total capital...". She kept changing "her" to "their". Even I knew that "investor" and "their" are inconsistent! The editor kept changing "her" to "their" in several places. I do not think my draft is "revised" after their service. There is a reason that I paid extra money to get a faster service. However, I have to wait for another 24 hours to hear from their editing team. That doesn't mean they will revise it in 24 hours. That just means that they will respond to my request. I am very unhappy with PaperTrue. To follow up: the editing team insists that they did a great job. Even though the editor change "her" to "their" in eight places. They insist that their work is correct. They will offer 15% refund. I guess that is how you make money: did a $#*!ty job, and steal 85% of the payment.

Terrible job
The proofreading service is a scam. Most of the reviews are fake as I tried to leave reviews on sites that wouldn't allow me to leave a negative review. I paid for proofreading but the final product was terrible. They changed the meaning of my document and had basic grammatical errors.

BEWARE! It was my first experience with this service! After 15 days of waiting for editing my document (chapters of a dissertation for which I paid $319 for roughly 17000 words), I received a shock more than an edited document. They edited the wrong document for me! After trying to work with them (they are responsive), they promised they will edit the right one. After another week or so, I received a corrupt document, some sections had been lost and deleted, and part of my work had been shuffled, which caused a huge confusion and frustration (it was around 100-page document!). For the sections that were edited, the editor just revised the grammar and the punctuation, without considering the meaning of the sentences. They barely did some proofreading, but NO editing at all! They claim on their website: Your edited dissertation has an improved style, clarity, and sentence structure! The corrections they do are similar to what Gramarly can do for less money and time. This makes them a scam. Its not possible they dont know the difference between proofreading and editing! Their answer in emails or reviews would be like: I went through your document and I saw 335 insertions, 478 deletions, 747 formatting changes, and 45 comments in your document, So in total, that's 1631 revisions for a document length of 17768 words. They decide the quality of their deliverables by the number of tracked changes! Seriously?! I guess this tells all for people looking for editing services. I would not trust them to do any significant work, especially dissertation, thesis, or even articles. Grammarly can do better for less price and quicker turn-around time. I strongly urge you to save your valuable time and money by finding a company other than PaperTrue to assist you with your editing services. Their unacceptable work product has been a major disappointment, waste of time and money! Note: For reviews, do not rely on whats rated on their webpage. Look for externally hosted reviews. Google search should provide some links to reviews such a site jabber, trustpilot, pissedcustomer, etc. The reviews on their website are owned and controlled by them!!

Do not depend on them for important Projects- Like Graduate School Applications
I used this company two years ago to edit my Graduate application. They did an excellent job. What happend this time? I decided to return to Graduate school this year and submitted my personal statement to the editor. I used concepts typically used in sociology and historical writing to explain my ideas. Why did the editor change the names of the concepts? At one point the editor injected their idea into my paper, it seems. The editor legit changed the conclusion that I presented in my personal statement. Why are you injecting your opinion into my research/ thoughts? Also, are you familiar with inductive/ deductive reasoning? Why are you changing the meaning of my statement? I made a complaint and a CSR said they would fix the issues. It took me 1-2 hours to highlight and go through the errors of the previous editor. I also sent links to artcles to company explaining my concepts. So ridiculous. While sharing my concerns, the CSR asked if I wanted to try their sister company instead to edit my personal statement. I said no thanks. Really, your site states that you expertise is in thesis editing. Could you not handle a 7 page document. Prior to sending my work to an editor - I'd actually sent it to supervisor who not only works in education but taught a major university in Toronto. I was better off having my supervisor at my current place of employment proofread my work. Next time I use an editor, will use a different company or have one of my colleagues proofread my work for me. Unbelievable.

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY
This company will give you a list of editing they will, preform, on your manuscript. On mine, they didn't complete the first one. They kept my money. Returning a battered, and no longer readable Novel. 18 days is what I paid for, it took them almost 6 months. Email after email of; "We've lost your document, can you please resend it?","We will need additional time." My novel, when it was returned to me, reads like someone that doesn't speak English edited it. I actually spent over 100 hours trying to, fix the added issues they created. When I couldn't, I had to return to the copy I sent them. Do not lose time or money to this scam company. There is no value in this service, only stress and frustration for you.

DO NOT EVEN THINK OF USING THIS COMPANY
This company is a fraud. I sent a document and paid for a two day edit on job #87042 and I never got my work back within the given two days. I followed up and was told I would get in 10 hours and the 10 hours came and went and I still got nothing from them. I followed up and this time I was told that I would get it in 15hrs and when I raised the promise of 10 hrs the previous day, I was told its with the senior editor and in a few hours you should get it. I then asked for a refund and I was pushed from pillar to post being given different answers. Just do not fall into the trap like me. The reviews online are fake, they probably write these themselves.

Not reliable
Not impressed as they left too many mistakes in my work. They did offer a revision, but I needed to provide evidence of their mistakes. I didn't keep a record as I thought they'd be reliable. I was wrong but didn't have time to go back and retrace their mistakes. So I just let it go. For example, one of the prime examples is that they missed "precious" chapter, instead of "previous". This is just one of the many. Anyway, pretty sure there are more reliable services out there.

Donot use this company!
I used their editing service as their reviews were 4-5 stars and I was in a hurry so I gave them a try. After paying for expedited service to receive it back in 12 hours, my edited resume was returned with so many visible errors with just a glance! They forgot to reformat my resume back to full page, it also had few editor's comments still on it and worse, they deleted my work duties which was imperative to have on a resume. Their solution - a free revision in 12 hours! They dont seem to get it! I paid for expedited service for a reason as I had an interview in 30 mins now, but I ended up using my original resume. Their Solution: I requested a full refund...they acknowledge their mistake and think their free revision was appropriate! I disputed my charge and received their free revision in which their professional editor turned my senior level resume into an entry level applicant! Still they are refusing my refund... People ..donot use this company. They use fake 5 stars reviews on their sight to lure people to their service. I give them ONE STAR!

Dont use paper true for anything
I used paper trues"editing" services to edit my novel. Not only did they mss their own set deadline by over 2 months, but they didn't even get close to meeting the scope of work. It took me and a friend over 100 hours to remove the mistakes they added to the novel. They refused to give me a refund, after they admitted they did everything mentioned above.

They can't edit novels, I spent 50 hours fixing the seemingly ESL mistaked my novel came back riddled with over 2 months late. "I lighted my cigarette" is an example Fighting for a refund now, but it's not looking good. Save your money, don't use this company for editing. They ignore emails, miss the deadlines they set, refuse refunds, and simply can't edit novels. The scope of work won't be met, I had an extremely difficult time dealing with this company. It was as if their perspective is "well we already have your money, so you can wait for us to tear apart your novel some more before we return it in pieces." Almost every page had mistakes in it, and may 20th -june 18th was the scope of work Grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, formatting, content editing and more. A junior editor will do 2 passes, than a senior editor will do a pass, --> Junior editor tore apart my novel, added issues, removed necessary parts, the senior editor never touched the novel. It was returned close to the end of august. I'm struggling to get a full refund, initially I asked for 50% as I was trying to not be an *** However after their insulting responses, and flat out lies. I had togo to pay pal to try and get a full refund. Thats still pending SAVE YOUR MONEY TIME, AND FRUSTRATION. DONT USE PAPER TRUE TO EDIT YOUR NOVEL

Just Wow
So I started writing my first romance novel a few years ago. After I finished it, I proof read it over and over until I started to hate it so I stopped and asked for advice. I was told to peer review it and joined a chat community where we emailed each other our work and corrected it for each other. Needless it say, it didn't really work out. I tried proof reading it again and decided I needed new eyes on it. Enter stage right: Papertrue. I saw all the wonderful reviews for the company and decided it was perfect. I wanted to submit my book in parts so I could review the work done before I wasted all my money but I got too excited and submitted the first 2/3 of the book while doing one last read through of the third portion. The first third cost almost $1,200. The second was over $900. Now I didn't mind it getting pushed out over two weeks past the due date because I wanted it looked over thoroughly but it did come back to me late. So I've spent over $2,000 on it and it has taken over a month to get returned. I finally get the chance to cozy up and see how she's turned out and I was sorely disappointed. I agree with most of the punctuation corrections but the other changes? I'm thinking in my head "WTH?!" For example so that you know I am not just throwing a fit because my work got criticized (which it really didn't). So I found a correction for 'tale' changed to 'tal,e'. I know what they were trying to do but for $2,000 you think they could make sure it is right. Another incident was when I was describing someone being emotionally closed off and they changed it to dozed off.....Did they not read the book? Understand the context? I spent two days going over each and every edit and was so sad to find half of the changes made were incorrect. I still have my last third of the book left to edit and decided I would do it myself or find someone else with more experience or a better understanding of editing. The other thing that bothered me is during the submission process, they ask you if there is anything specific the editors needed to know so I mentioned in there that I was a new author and this was my debut novel and I figured it would need a lot of work. I was hoping to get it back and ready for submission with minor changes. I got a few comments about the overall work and then maybe 10 from each editor regarding miscellaneous parts. My book is over 300K words so in the grand scope if this was a real edit, I would be patting myself on the back. Instead I want to weep over the $2,000 I wasted. I am not submitting this so that I can get money back or because I am in a rage but because I do not want others that are hopeful for good services to spend their money here. Please save more and pay for better services or do yourself a favor and edit it yourself. You would do a better job at editing than they did. If you have already submitted, I will keep my fingers crossed that you had better luck but please reconsider using this service if you haven't already settled on it.

Waste of time and money.
Don't believe the planted reviews you see online. I sent them my novel, and the first edit took 2 1/2 months instead of the promised 30 days. Then what I got was absurd. Grammar mistakes, past and present tense mistakes, edits that came out as total gibberish as if the editor didn't speak English. I complained and they sent me a second edit with the exact same problems. I think this is some sort of fake company or they just hire anyone to proof things, no experience or education needed. When I asked to see the credentials of my editor, I never got any. I never spoke to my editor, they never asked me any questions. It is glaringly apparent they didn't under stand the majority of it. An example, the editor thought 'Going to the head' was the main character telling someone he was going to wash his head in the bathroom. Clearly, the editor doesn't speak English or know how to use google. The edit cost me $2,100, and I can't use any of it.

Don’t have any problems!!! They will blow you off, I have been calling for over a week and have yet to get a call back or reach anyone with the “ability” to help me resolve my issues. I will begin by saying this would not have been so bad if they did not lie and try to slip something past me. I do not recommend papertrue for anything other than academic. They don’t seem to have a grasp of science fiction fantasy or creative writing in general. I do not recommend them for anything of any length or significance. Currently it has been 26 days for an edit of a 20,000 word YA Novel and I am still waiting to receive it. The first edit was okay, but with an extra three days (10 total) the editor began making personal changes, changed things that completely undermined the concept of the work, and made a correction that turned into a mistake in grammar. This was in the first six pages, I stopped reading after that. When I contacted them about this they offered to get it redone in one day and offered me a 20% discount on my next work. I explained that I did not want it back in a day, I wanted done correctly, which could not be done in day. I said take another week and get it done correctly. Previously I tried them out with a smaller short story and the editor on that document did an excellent job, so I asked if he could do it if he was available. They assured me he would do it. I was contacted again and again three days were added to the time. The day it was due I heard nothing and contacted them they said there was a delay and added another day. (21 total) The next morning I received the work. I think they made a mistake because they sent me a google doc. In the notes I could see that: My previously incorrectly edited work was reedited that morning starting around 1AM. The incorrect edit was riffled through in three hours and sent to me as complete. The person who was supposed to work on the document, I could see all the names, was nowhere to be found. Needless to say I was upset. The incorrect portions were overlooked. My work had lost even more integrity. I tried to call and there was no answer. When I complained over chat and demanded to speak to someone, I was called. I was immediately offered 10% discount and free 2000 word edit. I wanted none of it. I wanted what I paid for. The person apologized and said they would get it done from the original in five days. Today I contacted them again as to day was the deadline. I was informed that they are requesting another three days. I don’t find this acceptable at all, they said it would be prioritized and done by tomorrow. Still unacceptable. I am now demanding a fifty percent return for my work which has not been delivered by the contract I entered into them with. I do not recommend papertrue for anything other than academic. They don’t seem to have a grasp of science fiction fantasy or creative writing in general. I do not recommend them for anything of any length or significance.
