Scam!
Turnpike is a scam. Overcharge for tolls, stupid expensive. Lock my account online then cant reset password. Have to call 800 number. Closed. Then when open transferred back and forth to five people Before they finally can get it reset. Adds on late fees. Then they try to force ez pass by saying youll pay half price. But then you have to go thru a bunch of crap to get set up with that. The system is designed to gouge. Its a joke. Pa sucks .no more turnpike for me no matter what.

Poor customer service
I have an account with the turnpike. I recently observed an email in my scam folder. I called the number in the email. I was told I was speaking with a collection agency. They told me my bill is $45. I asked why is my bill $45 and the response was I had an outstanding balance of $20 and an additional amount of $25 was added when the account was transferred to collections. Unbelievable! How come no one contacted me about my outstanding balance. The turnpike has my email, postal address and telephone number. This is poor customer service and shows a failing organization that they have to do this.

Absolutely gouging PA citizens, Excessive fuel tax, Excessive state tax, screwed up roads and highways, this State has no conscience for this gouging .

Worst Customer Service
Tried to pay a bill online, so when I called to request an itemized receipt, I was transferred 3 separate times. I was then told the bill was not paid, even though I have proof on my end that 450 dollars was taken out of my account, and was told it will take a week to process. Got more lip about requesting the itemized receipt. PA turnpike kick rocks.

No live person at customer service
No one answers at customer service number. My calls are put on hold and after a while, silence and then dropped. Tried to contact by email. Get to submit and it will not send. Keeps aying "incorrect value for the captcha image" but it is correct. Why not just tell us it is only automated, no real persons to talk to us.

Construction Damage Claims
PennDOT compensated me a few years ago for paint chips cause by construction (paid me $5,000.00). Don't expect the PA Turnpike to do the same. Recently, a lane on the turnpike was torn up. It came out of nowhere on a rainy day. Cars ahead threw stones and chipped my car. I filed a claim and they sent me to the out of state construction company that did the job (Blythe in North Carolina). What a joke. One of their reps called me, only gave their first name and not even who they worked for. Asked me for my email address. Never emailed me, but 2 weeks later sent a letter in the mail denying my claim. Basically said, your car was chipped on the PA Turnpike, but it wasn't because of their negligence. I've been driving that turnpike for decades. The roads are pristine when there is no construction. The entire claim process felt like a scam. Not returning calls or emails, not asking any questions. Avoid the PA Turnpike if you can!

9 times out of 10, I pay my bill according to the invoice then a few weeks later they send me another bill. Each time I have to appeal it. Fix it.
