Refund

I booked a flight from Toronto to Jamaica for August 25. To attend my mom's funeral. My flight was for 3pm. On WESTJET WS 2660, I got to the check-in counter at 1:25 pm. But was told I was late and can't board my flight, I asked to speak to a supervisor, and he told me that the flight was oversold and there's no seat for me. And the only thing he can do is booked me for a flight for the following day, or I can apply for a refund. As a result, I missed my Mom's Nine night/wake, which was on the Aug 25. My flight was a direct 4-hour flight to and from Jamaica. I ended up booking a different flight for August 26. The only flight I could find was a 12 hours connecting flight with 2 different stops. And had to pay twice the price I previouly paid. SI always book with Orbitz. This experience was not good at all, especially when It's something as important as my mom's funeral. Orbit and west jet SUCKS.

We booked wrong dates

I had booked a room for a couple of days, through another site, but my husband informed me that he needed another day, so I went to your site , everything was fine till he was checking out to recheck back in, that I had booked the date, he was checking out, this hotel was not accommodating to the situation, and the fact that was it was the same person really annoying, Patricia was very nice she tried, thank you

The Stratosphere Hotel was rated 3 Stars OMG! A one star is really too much. The Strat. was once a nice 3 star possibility of 4 but, its so terrible now that it should be closed down.

Still waiting for a refund on Flight from Amsterdam (Itinerary # 725190****3890)

My son's connection in Amsterdam to Hamburg was cancelled. (Conor Jonathan Cruz) I was told that the airline would refund that leg of the trip. I have not received any refund or notice regarding thus problem. Following is a copy of the itinerary. I had also purchased insurance on this reservation. Unable to cancel

Tried to cancel a trip 5 min after booking and customer service said they werent allowed to touch that ticket (even though it was booked by orbitz) and I needed to call individual airlines

Reservation problem

Made reservations at Villa Ratanckon in Luang Prabang, Laos beginning July 19, 2023. I paid by credit card and have receipts from Orbitz.. Horel claims I have no reservation and never received any money from Orbitz. Orbitz website not working at all. Virtual Agent chat is useless. I have used Orbitz for years, but now website barely work and chat bot is useless.

Mislead & practically lie in their change policy

I will never advise hotel booking on Orbitz. First of all, I prepaid the whole thing on the condition that I can change or cancel. But when it comes time to change, they will not honor it. Instead of agreeing to change the check in date like a normal operator, they insist on canceling the whole booking and making a brand new bookingwhich means much higher price and screwing the customer. I was astounded how they dont care one bit about customer or honoring their commitment (Ive been one for almost 2 decades). And the customer service has degraded so much. They dont even bother to list a phone numberjust virtual assistant that can barely help you in real time.

Orbits cancelled my flight

Orbits cancelled my flight reservation to Bangkok without my permission. They charged me $400 cancellations fee and claim via a one hour phone call that there was nothing I could do to reverse this process. I did not cancel my reservation. I originally only called and confirmed my reservation and asked how to get a seat assignment. Orbitz confirmed my reservation and gave me the phone number of China Air for seat assignment. The next morning Orbitz sent and email informing me of my reservation cancellation

Very poor telephone customer service. It’s impossible to get a representative.

I wanted to know how to use my Orbucks point. Can't get through to a representative. The computer asks either the card number or the booking number. No way to talk to a representative without this data

SCAM - credits have no value beware Orbitz and Expedia

Extremely Disappointed with Orbitz Travel Service Review: I recently had two transactions with Orbitz Travel Service, one on May 25, 2021, for $874.95, and another on February 22, 2023, for $1,564.22. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my frustrations on PissedConsumers. After the Covid-19 travel freeze, I contacted Orbitz on May 4, 2023, through their chat help and email channels. I specifically reached out to Jim T from the Expedia Customer Support Team, hoping for a resolution. They promised me a refund or credits. Unfortunately, the credits they provided were utterly worthless, and the company has repeatedly delayed the refund process. Initially, I was assured of full credits for my first transaction due to the travel restrictions caused by the pandemic. However, when I attempted to use these credits in February 2023, I discovered that they were not applicable to any trips. Seeking assistance, I engaged with their chat help, which proved futile in applying the credits to the replacement trip that was lost due to Covid. In a desperate attempt to salvage something from this ordeal, I made a second transaction on February 22, 2023, hoping to utilize the original credits for a different trip. The purchase came with a promise of a complete refund if canceled before April 2023. Unfortunately, I fell ill and attached a doctor's letter as proof that I couldn't travel. Despite fulfilling all their requirements and providing the necessary documentation, Orbitz has consistently refused to issue the refund they promised. Their actions not only contradict their own refund policy but also demonstrate a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. This level of service is utterly unacceptable and has caused me immense inconvenience and financial hardship. I strongly caution anyone considering Orbitz Travel Service for their travel needs. My experience highlights their failure to honor commitments, misleading credit offers, and their outright refusal to provide the refunds they assured me I would receive. I hope that by sharing my experience on PissedConsumers, I can warn others about the atrocious customer service provided by Orbitz and prompt the company to rectify their actions.A

Steal your flight credits

Worst company, if you are issued a flight credit they will charge you double the published airline rate in effect when you want to use it, stealing your credit!! What a scam!! Go directly to The airlines!! Have a $600 credit each for 3 family members, I found the flight on American Airlines website but in order to use the credit you have to call Orbitz but since that make impossible to find their phone number ended up chatting for over an hour to use it even though we have the ticket numbers, now they are charging me $1100 per ticket almost double the cost of what I have on hold right now with aa!! taking 95% of our $600 our credit. What a scam!! Would not have this problem if It had been booked directly thru the airline!! Be warned I will NEVER use them again!!

Pissed costumer

I completely unsatisfied with my rental car experience with Hertz. I reserved an economy car . At the day of arrival at a Baltimore airoport i was given an electric car that even did not noticed right away. I also prepaid for the full tank of gas that i was thinking. I drove about 1 hour from the Baltimore eiroport no my hotel located at National Harbor. I parked the car at a parking lot. Next morning i sat at my rental car turn the car on and got the massage 5% battery remaining. I came to Washington DC for two days just to go to my country embassy for my expired passport renewal. 1.5 hours before my appointment i got the massage that i have 5% battery remaining. I have never drove an electric car before , means no nothing about it. I goggled first mass station , drove there 3% battery left . The guy said we do not have electric charge here. I drove to another spot GPS says to go and there nothing there as well. I stop by police guy he said he have no idea where is is. I asked another police officer and got the same answer. Finally i google 3 d time electric car charging station nearby GPS brought me to highway with 2% charging and i start feeling car is lowing down . I almost stop on the 4 line high speed highway with my 2 years old son that was sitting on the back of my rental car. Luckily i was able to make to exit and park on the middle of nowhere but at least not in the highway where i could easily get killed with my 2 years old. I was late to my appointment . I spent 200 dollars on gas going back and forth to the hotel , to my appointment and on my way back to Baltimore airport . I was waiting for the triple A 7 hours to be picked up. The first guy came to the wrong address after I was waiting for 2.5 hours and he left. I was sitting with my baby under the sun or in the hot car(could not turn the conditioner on since the car battery died) waiting for triple A guys . I could not go to the shade and wait there because my cell phone battery was dying and I was afraid to miss triple A track. My day was completely ruined . I was late for Tony 's appointment and was not able to be seen. I have never experienced that much stress and discomfort in my life. First Herts gave me an electric car . The parking garage where I received that car is dark like in a tunnel i didnt even notice it was electric . Plus I was alone with bags, my stroller and a 2 years old baby. The guy just post to the car and told me right there white car is yours. Service was horrible as well! Car has a marihuana smell inside . Later under the seat I found an empty gate aid bottle . This is how they clean the car before giving it to the new customer. I am completely disappointed with Hertz. I don't think i need to pay any penny for this rental car after all i had have experienced. It was the the biggest stress in my life which completely ruined my planes !!!

Unscrupulous business practice

For 2 days in a row I have attempted to book a trip via Orbitz as I have done for many years. However, this time Orbitz has pre-authorized almost $1000 in charges without verifying an itinerary. After reaching out to customer service I was told I should have guaranteed with the airline that there was enough seating before I submitted my payment. Mind you my reservations were only for 2 people and I've never had to do that before when using Orbitz. I asked for a rate guarantee while I waited on the release of my funds and was told the only way to guarantee the rate was to rebook immediately ... which I foolishly did ... only to have the same thing happen. I was denied tangible access to a supervisor or a corporate email address. There is also no way to leave a review on Google or the Orbitz website. I did however take screenshots of all of the correspondence as well as file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
