Not ethical

Upon freezing my account and having to cancel my membership because of physical limitations, I have. The policies that are in place for people like me are not ethical. It's not okay to have to charge someone to unfreeze their account just to have to turn around and be charged a fee and then I can cancel a membership is absolutely garbage. Especially when it comes to injuries and having physical limitations. This company takes advantage of people and its members. I feel sorry for people who have had to pay into this company for their *** *** policies.

Orrangetheory Garwood, NJ

Rude staff, snub and they lie. I was there for just 3 times, I got treated with disrespect and rudeness. Their manager is simply a liar and don't admit guilt.

Terrible customer service!

Orange Theory in Wyckoff NJ is a terribly run business. I had issues since my first class. It was overbooked with 12 trial members. At that point I decided to go to Ramsey, NJ where they are more organized and more professional. Ive had nothing but issues with billing and promises to make updates to my account that did not happen such as changing my membership from elite to basic. I called multiple times and never receive responses. Ive had to go to the studio twice to try to get my issues resolved. Which didnt happen. There is no care to retain members and make things right.

Fake sales information about trial lecture

they said first free trial lesson. I couldn't go to the trial class at 09.30 am because I woke up with a migraine headache. They took 28-USD from my husband's credit card in the same day without our approval, without even a phone call, for the trial lesson that they advertised for free. The trial lesson is not an individual sport, but the use of the machines in the gym. therefore, there is no institutional loss for them. While I was planning to go at the available time, when I saw that money was withdrawn in this way, I came to the conclusion that it was an unreliable company. I will definitely not surrender my health to such a company

Horrible Business

They only want your money and are very friendly to sign you up but give you *** when you want to cancel your membership even if it's two classes later.

Disappointment!!!!

I am going through a hard time right now with having to financially take care of both of my parents plus myself. I am drowning in debit!! I signed up for membership at the beginning of the summer and everything was fine. I had to pause my account in the month of June due to unexpected expenses. In both June and July my mother got sick and I now have to care for both parents. I tried to explain that to stupid 1314 where my membership is. I reached out to them on July 12th to cancel my membership. They explained to me that I would be charged another $179 for the month of August. I explained to them that there was no way that I could afford that with my new added expenses and with working and traveling I would not have the time to attend a single class due to my new schedule. I was basically told there is no other way around it and I would have to pay. I expressed to them my disappointment because I had hoped to come back one day once I could afford it. With all that's going on in the world with everything going up, I think it's really messed that when your members are experiencing life and things beyond their control they are still forced to pay something that they cannot afford to pay. I will never return and I will be posting about my experience on all social media platforms because this is ridiculous. I do not like or will I ever stand behind any company who are all in it for the money with no regards to their members! Run far away from them because if anything should ever happen to you, they still expect you to pay no matter what!

Customer complaint

Orange theory homestead is the worse location that you can show up to. They promote join any studio but once you start in one studio and another studio is the actual location that you attend they start wanting a card on file. So I show up today and left my wallet at home and Lisbet tells me that they need a credit card on file after my membership amount came out of my bank acct 3 days ago. I asked her about giving it to her after class and she insisted before class so I had to go home and come back. Once I was back, the class had gone on for 20min, I asked the receptionist for me to join the class and She spoke to Nicole their head coach and of course they refused me. They obviously dislike members assigned to other studios and make your life miserable. All of the employees cover each other and customer is NEVER right. They just wasted an hour of my time! Lisbet was very confident about her not getting in trouble of her lack of customer service with the manager.

Why is it impossible to take a class

I have tried to take a class at the Olympia, WA. location 3 times and each time was asked to reschedule. The first time I signed up online for the first class of the morning. Somebody from a location called me and told me I couldn't take the first class of the morning because I had to be there early for orientation. The second time I showed up at 5:35 for a 6:00 p.m. class. I was told I needed to be there 30 minutes early to take the class. So I completed all of my paperwork and the orientation and was told I could do the 5:00 a.m. class the next morning. Still not understanding why can't take the 6:00 p.m. class since orientation was done before of the class started. Before I left for the day, the girl at the front desk told me to show up before the class and it didn't matter what time. I showed up 8 minutes before the class started and was told I needed to reschedule the class because they needed to walk me through the stations. Although they had done that the day before. I'm not understanding why it's impossible to take a class here. After I signed up and followed the instructions and got up extremely early to drive to this location, I still couldn't take a class. And why would I reschedule again when I've already tried to go to this location three times. I'm extremely disappointed because this is my sister and friends favorite new workout place. However they didn't go to this location.I'm ready to get my fitness started but clearly it's not going to be with orange theory l.

Poor Service

I broke my arm. I asked to be placed on inactive status. After 2 months, they resumed billing me the full amount.

Orange theory off Robb Drive in Reno

Most of the staff is friendly. Jerry or Jeri not so much. I'd originally asked to move my class out an hour, she refused. Then I expressed that the membership I signed up for, a week ago, wasn't going to work with my busy schedule. I wasn't yelling, I wasn't cursing, I wasn't even being rude at all, and I didn't even raise my voice. Rather than being empathetic and expressing shed escalate this to her manager, she shuts down and says we are ending the call because this is going nowhere, and she can't do anything. I asked her when the manager would be in, says maybe in the next 48 hours. I'm not sure. I asked if there is another manager to speak to, there is not. The classes are great, but the people who signed me up were rather pushy, calling a lot and texting. Even after I asked them to stop. I'm pretty disappointed with the experience here as a whole. If you have a busy schedule that changes a lot, I'd suggest sticking to a regular gym. They do not work with you because of their company policy. It's also pretty expensive. Thanks, Jeri or Jerry for solidifying this negative experience.

Terrible experience

I had an awful experience at orange theory. The customer service was horrific and I was treated so badly that I was literally in tears. They even left the machine with no tablet during class session and left it like that and made me use it like that. Very unorganized and very unreasonable
