Did not receive a return envelope with featured selections for this month

Yesterday, 9/16/20 I received my new featured selections for this month. I am not interested in ordering this month (promo code 2014). My problem is that I did not receive an envelope to notify you of my DO NOT SEND. Please make a note of this request and send me an email at my address above so that I have confirmation that you followed through and will not send me any books. My deceased husband’s book club

My husband for years was writing big checks to one spirit. I found out after he died 11/2019 going through old check books. He paid monthly Large amounts of money we couldnt afford to one spirit. I never saw what was paid for but now a widow on SS lm furious of the waste of money that was shelled out for probably BS. My husband was looking for something but never quite found as he kept ordering. Im so tired of fake sites offering life advice for a big fee pretending to be enlightened resources. I should be compensated but Im sure will never happen. Robin Seefahrt

Cancel My Membership

I went on line & declined this months selections & shut my iPad down. Next thing I know I get a confirmation #SOBSL633**** for an order I did not make! I called your customer service # & Spoke with a guy named John who wouldn't listen to what I had to say. He kept telling me I placed the order when I know I didn't & I asked him to cancel that order for I didn't want any books ordered this month. I got upset & yelled at him to cancel my membership, I don't like to argue with a Customer Rep about something I haven't done & won't listen to me. I'm usually a very calm person but this conversation was the last straw, enough is enough! I've been with One Spirit a very long time now but I now wish to CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP # 05809**** effective IMMEDIATELY ! I

They keep sending me things I didn't order, won't cancel membership.

Similar experience to others, member in One Spirit Book Club for many years and they changed their model so I didn't want to continue with membership. In January, I called and was able to speak to a customer service rep. who told me my membership was cancelled. 1 1/2 months later my debit card was billed for a shipment. I again contacted the company and said cancel my membership (they did refund the amount billed) and told me my membership would be cancelled. Today (April 26) I received an e-mail telling me my selection was being shipped and I checked and my debit card was charged $49. I don't know how to cancel my membership at this point but just filed a complaint with my states Attorney General.

Short Review on December 05, 2016

I just got an email regarding my alleged account. I have no account with them. Did not order anything. When i tred to respond, received a message back saying the message was undeliverable to that address.

Dishonest, unethical

You can be a member for 20 years like I have, and they just care nothing about you. First they offered 30% off if you ordered three books. AFTER I made the order, they emailed me that the third, qualifying book was no longer available. (So why was it on the web site?) So I emailed customer service, a joke of a department name, and told them that I wanted to cancel the order. This was just a couple of hours after I made the order. They answered that it had already shipped, which I really don't believe. I responded that I did not believe this scenario, and I would refuse the shipment if it arrived at my door. Fine, they said. So then it came yesterday, in two packages. Imagine my surprise- both labels were cut so that the return address was incomplete. I actually took one box to the post office and asked if this address could be identified, and they said no. So I went to One Spirit's web site looking for an address for returns. Guess what? There is nowhere on the web site where you can find it. They have pulled stuff like this on me before, and I am cancelling my membership. Don't even think you will get good deals or breaks on books from them. They are just out to screw every customer they can.

Collection

I just got a call from a collection company about this company, they claim books have been shipped to my address, what a *** scam....This is what you get with religious ***. I am an atheist. How does a company like this exits. Who the *** is clearing merchant services for this company. *** stupid idiots, suck my dick, you scamming spirits. Charge Review

This is a scam!! They will charge you without any notice or contact. The only way you will know that you have been charged is when the debt collector contacts you. Don't trust online book clubs. Your better off going to Amazon, a local store or local library.

One Spirit Book Club is a scam!!

The phone lines are completely useless and are long distance. If you wait for someone to answer (and nobody ever does) you rack up long distance fees or use minutes on your cell. You have to return the order form by a certain date and if you don't, you get the books anyway. Last month, I got their packet on the 18th, and it was due back on the 20th! Then I get the *** book that I didn't want and the following week got another copy of it! Of course they want their money, and supposedly you can't return it. I've been trying to cancel my membership all week, but noone gets back to me via email and you can't get anyone on the phone. What a joke!! Surely they have to be doing this illegally. They are THE WORST!!!!

Positive Experience Review

I have had a good experience with them. If you ask, they will take you off the list to get automatic shipments. Then, just order when you wish. My life is organized through using their Book of Days. I love the quotes in them, and have kept them all to have a record of each year.

Books Charge Review

They did the same to me, charged me for books I didn't want, then when requesting a mailing label they sent it to my email in witch I don't have a printer, 3 months later I'm going round and round telling them I need it mailed to me and they keep sending it to my email.

I have been trying to order a book for 3 months

I tried ordering a couple of books in November, it is now February, and I still haven't gotten my books. It started when my shipping zip code got entered wrong and the books got returned to them. I messaged the company to let them know the error, they said it would be fixed and my order would be re-shipped, but it just sat on my account saying "pending". After a month and being busy with the holidays, I finally called them over the phone. My account also showed I owed money with no details as why I owed. I paid on my account back in November or December, but, apparently, their system failed and my charge never went through. When I talked with the Customer Service Rep in January, I told him it was confusing because there was no breakdown of charges on my account, he took my credit card info over the phone for the payment. He said he would get my book order processed (for the books I wanted since November). Again, it has been over a month and no books! My account says, "pending" on my book order, and my credit card shows processing, but I only owe $3 on my account (for the late fees he was going to drop because I did pay on time, but it didn't go through the first time). I am so frustrated! Now I have to call and wait on the phone forever again! I think I should forget the books and get them somewhere else and cancel my membership! I have been with OneSpirit for over 10 years! What happened!

Sent out cancelled order, but keep adding late fee charges after membership was cancelled.

One Spirit is horrible. Number one phone lines are useless. They send out a cancelled order and when asked to send out prepaided return postage, on three different occasions nothing ever was sent out to give unwanted books back. Cancelled membership but they kept adding late fees for unwanted books. Finally I have sent books back to the Editor in chief and a letter stating that if they didn't zero out balance will contact the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office for unfair business practices. Will see what happens, what a loser company and their loss as in the past I ordered many items from them. I predict that this company will not stay in business long not with Amazon, ebooks, and the public library doing a better job then them.
