Olympic Collection Reviews

Honest ethical and pleasant

I had three debts last year that went to Olympic Collection. I worked out payments and stuck to them changing one payment one time. They worked with me every payment. I communicated with three different people there and no issues. I don’t like having debt and have had debt, with other agencies not nearly as nice or easygoing to work with. They were professional honest and ethical. I could not have asked for, better. It’s an agency that should be complemented, for what they do right. People put these reviews on and act as if they tried to pay. They did not. They avoided the debt and never wanted to deal with it.

Excellent. Honest people and trustworthy

I have submitted accounts to OCI for years. They are always honest on accounts. I review my accounts regularly and they always tell me what is happening. They work with consumers as much as they can and I get positive comments and return consumers come back to our practice. These guys really go out of their way to work with people and I appreciate it. They use legal action as a last resort on our accounts and work with people every day. I have dealt with the same people at the company for years and that says something. I have used other agencies in the past with not even close to the level of professionalism

Unprofessional and untrustworthy

We gave OCI the information necessary to collect from a delinquent account. They couldn't find the employer and the lead went cold. I was able to track down the debtor and gave OCI the information. They were defensive, saying that they had attempted to find the debtor already. Once they called the employer and figured out the debtor did work there, OCI said they had several clients trying to collect from the debtor and they were excited to have found the debtor. I asked some questions about their process of legal filing to garnish wages. One of the employees responded to my email by mistake. She meant to send it to the owner/ manager. She said that they shouldn't file legal action on our behalf because we wanted to work with the family and we might get in the way, "... makes me wonder if we shouldn't sue on theirs." Despite having a signed contract and a schedule of what had been paid and what was owed, OCI refuses to take this to court. I don't know if it isn't enough $ or what the deal is but I don't trust them. On a more positive note, they did successfully collect another outstanding account when the debtor had a change of heart, called us and apologized and then paid OCI.

Received a medical bill and a towing bill from them. Yeah...tough time right now in life. Both bills- I called them and worked out reasonable payments. Very easy to deal with the no issues. People I spoke with were all nice. I never got voicemail when calling them- always a live person. Some payments I made online and some I set up with an agent. Very good experience. I am a bit scared of collection agencies- other experiences have not been as good. These people seem like good people and ones that really want to help. One agent related she had things happen in her life and she gets it - REAL HUMANS WHO CARE!!

Olympic Collection Inc= these guys rock!!!

I had debt. I wanted to get it paid. I had five accounts - various medical providers- that I owed going back to 2014. They TOOK PAYMENTS over time for me and I paid all of them off - last payment in February:} I spoke to several people at Olympic and they were all very nice and professional. Real people who seemed to care. One employee even told me no rudeness is tolerated. They are are trained to be nice, follow rules and work with each consumer. Such a pleasant experience. People get themselves into situations and everyone I spoke to there realized that. In fact, i dealt with another agency - not nearly as nice and I avoid talking to them. Probably not going to pay. OLYMPIC ROCKS!!! I never knew I would be treated so well!!! OLYMPIC ROCKS!!!!

Olympic Collection - A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE

I received a letter from Olympic for a medical bill from 2015. I didn't pay attention to the letter and I also received phone calls from them. I ignored everything. They then filed a lawsuit. I called them very upset. The person I spoke to on the other end worked with me and I paid her. She was very nice and professional and listened to everything I said. I see people upset about being sued, but that is what happens if you ignore a bill. Don't get upset with the collection agency for doing their job. Remember that there is a creditor on the other end that has not bee paid. They were very easy to work with - nothing but great :}

This company sues you for non payment 30 days after they receive the account

I cannot believe this company. They file a lawsuit against you if you do not pay your collection account 30 days after they received the account from the company they are collecting for. I received one notice from them, period I have never in my life been sued, especially from some *** collection company. If anyone knows how to report them to someone higher, please let me know. They are rude and not helpful on the phone when I spoke with this person. I understand needing to pay collections, but obviously there was a reason it was not paid. Do not waste your time trying to explain anything to them, they do not care. Good to know business operate like this.

Good and Bad experience

I received a call last year sometime from Olympic Collections. They were very kind on the phone. However, I asked for them to send me information on the debt they were claiming I owed. I never received anything so I let it go figuring they realized they were wrong. A few months later they started calling again. I sent them an email again telling them to validate the debt. Still did not receive anything. I was served with a summons on the 22nd stating I now owe almost $800 for a $350 dollar debt. If they would have just provided me with the information when I requested it.. this would be a non issue.

I paid a bill to them 3 weeks ago with no issues. I set up payments and they took the correct payment each time and mailed me a letter before taking each payment. I have spoken with three people there and it has been a good experience. I have had financial issues over the years and these guys were amazing to deal with- no problems at all. I was going to make payments through their website, but then they called me. Very good conversation, down to earth people and very very easy to deal with. I, again, had no issues.

Paid off a debt to Olympic Collection Inc. today. They worked with me on payments over 6 months and even were nice enough to remove from my credit:} Everyone i have spoken to there has been very nice and worked with me. They try very hard, have a A+ with the BBB and were very professional. It is nice to know that, when you have debt, there are collection agencies that will work with you. Many other places would not, but this place was very nice to me. I am submitting this review as I think it is important to review even a collection agency when do a a good job.

Horrible Company

I email and called trying to pay off my debt. Instead of being tackful and accepting what I could afford they wouldn't take any payments that I could afford. After I put in a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and wrote a bad review on Google, they responded by calling me a liar and saying that I'm untruthful about a debt I owe. The woman that they claim wasn't their lawyer even when she stated to be at the beginning of the call, was rude, condescending, threatening and DID say they taking a $5 payment was too much work. Again, why would I lie about something so minute as this? Will be contacting the Attorney General's office as well. Thanks for the tip!

Texas Resident getting call from OIC

Hi , My Aunt who lives with me went to a doctor in Bellevue WA multiple times back in 2012 and we paid all their bills with an only exception to a 15$ copay that according to us was incorrect. We later moved to Texas in 2013 when we received a call from the doctors office and I provided them my new address in Texas and also told them that we don't owe them that copay because of "THE" reason. The lady at the doctors office said that she cant write it off and I have to take this up with my insurance provider which has changed now. Now after more than 3 years in Oct 2015 I receive a letter from the same doctors office that they are forwarding this case to OIC because I didn't pay the 15$ balance. 15$ is peanuts for me but is that the right way of doing it? Also, I need to know that can debt as low as 15$ be reported by OIC to credit bureaus? Also, I am not a resident of WA anymore. Does this company OIC have the license and permission to reach out to people outside state for collection? Please guide

Olympic Collection, border line breaking the law

People that get into financial trouble have rights...The first time talking to me, threatening to garnish my husbands wages, refusing to accept payments that I could afford, extremely intimidating, implying that they were a law office and gave them the lawyers name. Then finally refusing payments at all, saying that I must bring the payment in full in person. After I filed a complaint with the attorney general they were sweet as honey, follow the letter of the law, recorded the call, all within 3 hours after they were contacted. Don't let them get away with this...enough complaints to the AG and they will be fined or lose their business altogether.
