Overcharging me

There is an $800 charge that you were trying to charge me, Daniel Perry that does not belong to me at all. I did not even on the property at 279 W. Whitcomb Hill Rd. that property belongs to family I live in Denver Colorado all I did was have the power turned on so I could work on the property on whitcomb Hill and Truesdale Road. That is it, then I got a bill one for 20 something dollars which is my sisters. I got that and another for 800 and something dollars and Im sorry man that is not my problem that is not my bill and that is not my residence and the lady youre looking for is in a nursing home and Im sure shes not gonna be able to pay it either so if you kindly could just turn off the property that would be fine because I dont need the power anymore Because thats all Im gonna do is have someone go out there and turn it all off as far as the $800 looks like a loss for you and nothing for me because I dont own that residence not my property and definitely did not use that power now $20 worth I might head Ill give you that but Im not coming off anything more than that and a soon as you get done with your courts or whatever you wanna do to me youre gonna find Out Youre going to paying me money because this wasnt even my property

No Communication and No Reply from multipe requests

I live have a cottage on Keuka Lake and have a large tree close to the road that has grown up into the electrical service in front of the house, I repeatabley called NYS E&G about this tree which for the most part is dead. I needed this tree removed as I am having a sceptic system installed. I was told via a phone call after multiple calls to mark the tree, I did. I was then told that they were out to see the tree by the arborist and they would place me on the schedule to have it removed as no one wanted to deal with the danger of removal. I was informed on June 14th that now after multiple phone calls to NYS E&G that I had to arrange for a power drop from the pole and have the tree removed my self. This was decided on May 4th, which was never told to us and has been holding up this project since April 4th when I first called. To say I am upset does not describe this s now I have to try and arrange this and finance this after I was told they would take care of this as it's their responsibility, not to add that this will interfere with my neighbors as well when they drop the lines. NYS Electric and Gas take responsibility for your actions, you have cost me time and funds to try to enhance mu property after I went through all the right channels to get this, what I thought done. You are a disappointment.

My app still doesn’t work

Try to make payment still doesnt work it says sorry try again later its been like that for two weeks called customer support they said delete app and download again still no luck really sick of trying all customer support suggestions nothing works is there anyone that works there that knows what Im saying please fix your app plus Im not paying late fees

Broken power pole

Broken pole at Lovejoy Road, meter number is 1NF000056031. There was a rope put on this pole during the winter time. We now have a new anchor and guy wire in for the existing pole.

Didn’t read meter for 3 mos

Nyseg didnt read my meter for 3 mos. I called and asked why they werent reading my meter and they had no answer. Finally did a read and charged me $750.

Marginal customer service.

You can no longer see previous amounts billed online UNLESS you opt NOT to receive a paper bill. I paid my February bill on 2/10/23. I went online into my account today to pay this month bill and I saw that I am scheduled for disconnect. Today is 3/13/23. I paid my current balance today. It can and will take up to 5 days or more for payments to post to my account. I could NOT see the disconnect date. So it was necessary to call to see what that date is so that it's not turned off while my payment processes. Operator could not provide amounts of prior bills. She said that I need to contact online support, I assume to sign up for ebill meaning no more paper bills. If you receive paper bills, keep in a safe place because its is not easy to obtain prior month billings. :-(

Recent bill

I have called many times to speak to a supervisor. Yesterday a supervisor was suppose to call me back by the end of the day. NO CALL BACK. Today I stayed on the phone line for 2 and 1/2 hours waiting to speak to a supervisor. During that time no one came on to say anything about the wait or how long it may be. Im done with that. I dont agree with the recent bill of $281.17. We are elderly and on HEAP benefits. Cant pay that and dont agree as to why.

WOW WHERE TO BEGINIm 1.5 hours from home at a gas station only to find out I have insufficient funds in my bank acct ,due to nyseg tapping my acct dry to the tune of 1,155.60 dollars. Insult to injury, 2.5 hours on hold and Im getting shuffled from one department to the next only to have to repeat my situation 3 different times. Now mind you Im on budget billing in the amount of 339.92 that comes out of my bank acct automatically every month that is NOT DUE UNTIL 3/9/23. After all this they say they will send a refund for the full ONE THOUSAND-ONE HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS and 60 cents in seven to ten days. WHAT THE WHAT. How many customers does NYSEG HOLD HOSTAGE and collect interest on money that is not theirs? The amount just in interest (x the masses) has to be phenomenal. Nyseg took the money illegally with just the click of a button but cant put it back with the same tactic. NOW GET THISIT GETS WORSE. Under the guise of a one thousand dollar grant (credit) per customer they are supposed to hand out (due to some kind of ECONOMIC RELIEF that I didnt ask for or have any knowledge of until today, was the cause of this glitch. Thank you very little. So now with my balance being a negative of $22 and change, late fees racking up on my other debtsA LATE MORTGAGE PAYMENT and next paycheck in two weeks. I would have to call it ECONOMIC GRIEF!!! I bet in Three days theyll try to hit my acct again on the proper due date and proper amountwhile Im holding my hand on my *** waiting for money they stole from me. OH AND WE ARE SORRY BUT HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY.grrrrr

Unable to speak to supervisor

Last Thursday I was told a supervisor would get back to me by the end of the day, didnt happen. Friday I held on the line for 2 hours 45 minutes to speak to a supervisor. I had to hang up then. During that time not one message to let me know what was happening or if I would eventually get to speak to someone. We receive HEAP benefits and are unable to pay a bill of $284 dollars, nor do we feel it should be extended in the bill over the months ahead.

Overcharging customers

I have not lived in my house for six months. Yet this year my bills have doubled. I cannot even get Nyseg on the phone to complain.

Never can reach a rep. now waiting for more than 2 hrs. to get service on

i have been on hold for more than 2 hours, This is unacceptable. Need to have service turned on. It is WINTER.

Unprofessionalism

When you call they have these long options in order to talk to nyseg and when you get where you need they will will make wait an hour or two before calling you back. they did not send me the email with the amount to pay at the first week of february. I calk several times and make you wait an hour or two before calling back. I told them to charge me just with the meter reading of febbruary and instead they add more money!!! How the freaking can i know if the charges are correct or not?? Why nyseg is not controlled???

Double re occurring draft for same statement

I stayed on hold trying to reach customer service for one hour listening to that ridiculous recording and then when it stopped I said oh great they are going to pick up and talk to me...only to be attached ti a scratchy sound for another 20 min ...when I received an incoming phone call and realized I was disconnected...let me tell you I just came out of the hospital after a mild heart attack and truly believe the stress of nyseg double billing me 445.00 was a contributing factor that put me there . After my first call to them when I was on hold for an hour but at least that day I did get to speak with a lively representative who tried to help me I am out 400 or so and live on my SS income and this is unfair and fraudulent almost...at this point there us no resolve or rereading of my meter and I will file a charge with whatever agency I need to as a complaint there is obviously something very wrong with nyseg if you have to wait over one hour for customer service to answer I am resting from this situation now as not to put myself in the hospital again with the stress involved in trying to correct my double drafting within two days of over 400 each time

Easement granted by us to you near 43 Shufelt Road , CHatham ,NY

Hello. We own some of the property and have granted an easement to your company. However, there are ATV's zooming up and down it right next to our house all day AND night long. We need your help. Can we please figure out a way to prevent this from happening? When we stop ATV's from crossing into our property they say they have every right to be there because the property is owned by NYSEG. The one time I did see a NYSEG vehicle, they too had entered through an inroad created by illegal trespassers/ATVs, not through the locked gate put up by NYSEG. WE NEED YOUR HELP. WE NEED OFFICIAL SIGNS BY YOU STATING THAT YOU DO NOT OWN THE PROPERTY. Otherwise, we would like to chain lock it closed and you can come borrow the key. When there are a mob of ATVs and they are going through MY PROPERTY and I'm home alone in the middle of the night it is quite frightening. THe other night a random truck full of guys were driving on the easement and stopped to party for awhile right next to my house. Can you please put up official NYSEG signs at the inroad to the easement?
