My Mother was scammed by a contractor for a restoration of her burnt home. The contractor closed up shop and left with her money. I have been trying to get a hold of someone to help my Mom. We submitted an escalation request. Waited the 5 days like they said. Called on the 6th day, and submitted an escalation on the first request. They told me I have to wait for the 5 days on the second request. This is how are taxpayer money is spent.

I don't understand why we keep getting the run around.My mother in-law and her husband put in paperwork,to request money from their line of credit.The request was turned down because Novad is saying,that they have no funds to borrow but that's totally incorrect.They have never borrowed on the line of credit.There is nothing on their statements proving that they borrowed any money but yet Novad has been charging them interest on money they never received.I don't understand how HUD/FHA is allowing Novad to fraud people.

Paid off Reverse Mortgage thru Champion 1/28/22 Today is 7/11/22 and house has sold but title company cant release funds due to Lien. Better Business Bureau will be contacted tomorrow.

We were recently assigned to your management. We made a request for funds from our reverse mortgage. After submitting it in the mail we received a " Unscheduled Advance Request Form - Funds from Line of Credit" On the bottom the form has # Error. Does this indicate our request needs to be resubmitted?

Unprofessional and unfortunate
I felt lucky to finally reach NOVAD regarding some questions about payout procedures for an insurance claim and clarification of wording in an affidavit they wanted to be returned. I was floored with the unprofessional and basically immature attitude. I could not believe I reached an actual company. The agent had a terrible attitude, giving me snarky responses to my questions, laughing at me even. Told me they have dozens of people like me a day in bad situations and thats not their problem they are just 5 guys in an office dealing with these cases and tired of answering the same questions ??? The form they wanted from me was just a stupid paper that was stupidly worded I asked for the supervisor to clarify what it meant who then laughed at me too and assured me that they were just 5 guys in an office sick of people not understanding the 15 words on the form. I understand that some people hate their jobs, but we just needed basic help. If these people hate working there so much cant they find anyone else?

They never returned my calls,emails ,or letter I even sent.
Never answers phone. Always on hold for at least 60 minutes or more.Called numerous times always hung up on. Sent email for payoff of reverse mortgage and they never responded. I highly not too get a reverse mortgage with this company.

No response in a year
My mother passed April 2021. I have contacted Novad and done everything theyve asked of me. I have sent them all the forms in PDF I have a listing agreement I have third-party notarized per their request after six months I received a call on Saturday morning from Oklahoma from a Jayden Whiting who obviously no longer works there because after she gave me permission to sell the house her numbers been disconnected or email no longer exist and no that shows no record of her working there. Ive paid the homeowners insurance up to this point I no longer in the house needs to be condemned taxes need to be paid and nova refuses to have any correspondence again Ive waited on the whole car for 3 1/2 hours 15 times Ive had five escalations with no corresponding emails or phone calls what am I to do !obviously you My elderly parents were scammed

Terrible service and telephone wait times!
Paid off my HECM in late December 2021. Two months later I'm still trying to get acknowledgement of the payoff or the Year Ending Annual Statement dated 12/31/2021. I've called the NOVAD phone # 877-622-**** and have had over an 80 minute wait time on both occasions. After the wait someone from the FHA answers fielding the NOVAD calls. They take the request for information and send the request details on to NOVAD. (1098-int, lien release request, payoff details and an annual statement that still has not been received). They say each time it will be 5-10 days for the info to be received. After 5 weeks nothing! The FHA service people have actually been very courteous and helpful. Finally a NOVAD service rep called and he was a total jerk (no info or help). Starting over. I'm a 99 yr old WW2 Navy Vet trying to get my affairs in order and have never been treated so poorly. Commander CSE (Retd) PS: NOVAD apparently does not have their own public help line!!!! Really dumb. The FHA needs to switch to a better Loan Servicing contractor.

After 7 days, still no call back, and this is serious, like $10,000 serious!! The first person I spoke to sounded concerned regarding my situation, then 7 days later, no return call!!

Never heard from them.
All I ever receive from them is the monthly statement. Never received any Drew Slips, or an occupancy form. They request one. I could not send what I did not have. So went online to find an acceptable occupancy form . Filled it out and faxed it to them. Never heard back on that either.

Novad is a scam!!!!!
Two things.....1. never and i mean NEVER get a reverse mortgage. 2' you will never be able to contact Novad and when you do by some chance of a miracle, they are only a call center and have to pass the message along to HECM who could care less about me, you or anyone else. They get one star for maybe existing. they overcharge double on interest so that will shortly be taken care of
