Disrespectful Customer Service

My daughter got into a accident 3 months ago, when she called roadside assistance they were rude and yelling at here for not being fully attentive to the conversation over the phone while she was being treated for wounds and also clearing things up with the firefighters. After being told I would be waiting for a tow truck for 2 hours on a highway I was shocked but what was even worse is that I waited for 3 hours while the truck was broken down for the whole time, for me to then proceed to have to call our tow truck out since it was risky enough being on a busy highway. Then I got my car into a body shop to get the damages fixed on my car everything was done and cleared out of the way but 1 thing was keeping me from getting my car back, my grill did not come in after several calls from my body shop they would not give an estimated arrival date time but after I called and questioned them my grill came in a week after which makes it look like they did not have it ordered to start with. After all this chaos they finally just had to do a air bag refill and sensor reprogram and its been there for 1 week without any information about the vehicle to either the body shop or myself, and when I proceeded to call them for an update I was yelled at for not knowing who is working on my vehicle even though I am not the one who dropped it off and my body shop dropped it off and they proceeded to give no other information on my car.

I would like to get a "build sheet" for my 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5S

This car was purchased used. I would like to get more information about it. As I understand each car has it's own "build sheet" with all of the options, mechanical and standard equipment information when it is manufactured. If it is possible to get this info. please let me know how to get it. Thanks for you attention to this request.John Raper

Poor quality

Shortly after getting my new 2019 Nissan Kicks the liner in the rear passenger wheel well had to be replaced, but warranty covered it, August 2022 the rear shock had to be replaced for the inspection because it was leaking, warranty also covered it but now less than 6 months later the spring on the front strut broke and tore the protective boot, but Nissan refuses to cover it. The strange thing is all these defective parts are on the same side of the vehicle, the passenger side. My Kicks only has 6500 KM on it because I am a senior on disability, that and the years of covid lockdown. I would like to know why these parts that should be good for years of driving are breaking so soon. I was hoping for trouble free driving buying a new car, but it has cost me a lot of money.

Service Issue

RE: QASHCAI 2021 VIN JN9BJ1NV7MW319700 Recently encountered a problem on my Qashcai ( 2 years old, 23300 km) that the driver side door warning light kept coming on, and at the same time, internal lights were flashing and doorlocks engaging and disengaging. On and off I stopped at Willowdale Nissan as closest point and the technician placed some tape over an area where he felt there may be a very slight indent. He says caused by the seatbelt being caught between the door and created a small indent..so small I cannot see it and I have no recollection of this happening but that's what he says This seemed to work for a few days but now the problem is very much worse: When I rest my arm on the arm rest while driving it activates all these problems and when I turn a corner and go over a bumpy road the same thing happens. It appears to affect the entire electrical system in the car, internal lights on and off, driver door warning light on almost all the time. Now the Burglar Alarm also going off intermittently. It is now without pause I phoned the Sevice Manager at Willowdale Nissan this afternoon and without even looking at the car he told me the door has to come off and the dent repaired in the body shop. Was going to send me a quote which he said was going to cost plenty have not heard back and also wonder if he knew immediately what the issue was then obviously it is a very common problem and in my opinion reflects a quality issue on the car. This is the seventh NIssan I have purchased in last 15 years and obviously very disappointed that I cannot get a resolution

Poor Response

Had an issue with door warning lights coming on and off and the dealer quoted me $900 to "repair" it, without even examining or viewing the car. Went to another dealer...non Nissan and they fixed the problem in two minutes at no charge! On advising the Nissan dealer they couldn't be bothered. They said they were "too busy" to bother

Problem with Nissan Murano Sirius XM connection

We leased this vehicle from the Courtenay Nissan dealer in August 2019. From the time it was new, we had many problems getting Nissan Connect to work. This resulted in many trips to the Courtenay dealership from our home in Parksville while they attempted to troubleshoot and do several things as requested by Nissan Canada such as remove the radio pack and take photos of the back of the unit. Since Courtenay was not able to rectify the problems that we were having, we were told to take the vehicle to the Campbell River facility on the island to see if they were able to troubleshoot. After several attempts by them, a Nissan technical representative in Nashville contacted Campbell River and told them to replace the TCU. This rectified the problems even though it took a total of about eight months of back and forth. Unfortunately, over the past month or so, we suddenly experienced a lot of Sirius XM dropping off and getting the check antenna note on the screen. AM and FM radio works well. What was strange is that this would come and go without any type of warning or change in our driving habits. In frustration one day I did, however, realize that if I bumped the top of my information screen frame with the palm of my hand, the signal would come back on but would last for a while then would go on and off without any warning. We never know from day-to-day if it is going to work or not. During our last oil change at the Courtenay facility, I updated the service personnel of what was happening and at that time told them that the tap on the screen frame would fix the problem but sometimes only for a few moments and sometimes for many hours or even days. After checking over our vehicle they insisted that the fault was with the antenna (which has had no damage to it) and that we would need to have this replaced at a cost of just under $1,000.00. Even after I told them again that a light rap on the top of the screen fixes the problem, they insisted that the antenna needed to be replaced. My problem is that all indications are that something has come loose in the back of the radio unit causing this connection to be lost and gained and lost many times. My work on various aircraft during my 25-year RCAF career has convinced me that since the antenna is only a passive unit that receives a signal and moves this to the radio via a coax cable to cause it to play, and with the constant intermittence of what happens, this is being caused by a loose or intermittent connection and not a failed item. Some times it will work properly for many hours and other times will keep dropping off. We are now at a loss and have no confidence with the dealer and are convinced that if we take it back to them, they have already made their mind up on what is going to fix the problem. And of or course, in the process of installing a new antenna, they would end up tightening whatever has come loose and we will be out a bunch of money. This is our third Murano and we are now waiting to see what the redesign of this vehicle is going to look like before we make our mind up on its' replacement as we are great fans of this vehicle and do want to stay with this model of vehicle going forward. Any support you can offer to help us overcome this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Charged twice advertised price

Original review Mar 25, 2023
Hi, I'm delayed in bringing this issue up as a complaint but it causes me such stress and anxiety when i think about it, i have to say something. I purchased my 2020 Rogue at Rally Nissan in Moncton, NB., in Nov 2020, actually my birthday. It was advertised as $21,995 and the sales also offered a $10, 000 cash add on. I thought that would be good for home renovations so i agreed. When it came time to leave he said i can sign papers now and take the truck home. Very rushed, no time for walk around or orientation of the vehicle. When i was rushed to sign with finance the end price financed price was $40, 000 and when asked about the cheque for $10,000 i was informed it wasnt available. I felt steamrolled and still hate everything about the whole experience with Nissan and their advertising and promotions. Signed, sucker in New Brunswick, Anne

2015 Sentra 31,500km cvt gone @$6500

Bought 2015 Sentra with 53km ( 31miles)from Nissan dealer in Halifax on AUG31, 2016. CVT transmission went 20km outside Moncton on way to airport to get home for Xmas to northern Labrador. I am 7 1/2 months pregnant and was terrified when car started bucking and reving up then almost stopping on trans Canada Highway with transport trucks whizzing by. Made it to airport and home. I discovered that a class action lawsuit Resulted in Nissan offering extra 2 years 140000 Km warranty extension for these transmissions. It cost $6500+ at Nissan in Moncton to get a replacement REMANUFACTURED CVT TRANSMISSION . (Plus $1700 for 2 lower control arms gone with 31,500km on damn car $8301total) BUT Nissan says NO recall because car was registered by the dealer in 2015 so 7 years are up! It was bought AUG31,2016 from Nissan dealer in Halifax. The Sentra was always serviced at Nissan in Halifax and is in excellent shape. Called this dealer with no results. Called Nissan Canada in Missasauga . Waste of time especially with the supervisor. Just reading off a customer service screen/manual. 31500 Km on car. Never say never but Never Again Nissan. They are relatively inexpensive car and the quality and certainly the customer service lives up to this .

Poor quality of car

Bought a Nissan Rogue 2016 in April 2017. Brought it in for my usual oil change and was told that the bottom of my car was all rusted and parts of it was falling. I was shocked when I was underneath the car when it was up on the hoist and saw it. I took pictures. I am a Snowbird and dont drive the car here in the winter. I spend five months in Florida from November to March every year. It was disgusting. Under 6 years old and under 50,000 Km. I would not recommend anyone to buy a Nissan after I saw the underneath of my car. Can you imagine what it would be like if it was driven here in the winter? I also had it sprayed for winter maintenance underneath when I first got the car. I cant believe it if I did not see it for myself. What does Nissan have to say about this?

Radio turns ON randomly when the car is off, in park mode

Sentra Nissan SV 2019 Sentra Nissan SV 2019, The radio turns ON randomly when the car is off, in park mode. Also randomly the radio screen turned off black while driving to come back later with the Nissan connect screen and radio is back on. Dealer knows nothing about these problems. I'm afraid that the battery will get defective or drain prematurely.
