SCAMMED!

I responded to an "open call" ad which was a zoom call. During the zoom call, I was lured into a credit card page and unfortunately, I entered my information. This was to pay for training, classes etc.. I was scammed! I should not have to pay for my talent! I have requested a refund and "Justin Gray" keeps sending me unprofessional e-mails instead of just refunding my $99. The last e-mail said I will see a refund within 5-7 business days. We shall see.

Scammed out of $500

This company is a scam. Not only do they charge you $500 for photos. Which any experience model or actor should know better ..they make their customers sign. Bogus contract. So once you figured out you been scammed. They can continue to bill your credit card for *** services. They never produced one talented actor or model. It just a scam to charge you and when you dispute they say they can't refund you. Regardless if they provided you services or not. They will keep charging you until you sue them and cancel your card. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. I JUST WISH THEY NEVER GOT MY CREDIT CARD. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT MAKING THINGS RIGHT. THEY JUST WANT YOUR CARD NUMBER AND YOUR SIGNATURE ON THE PAPERWORK SO THEY *** YOU OUT OF YOUR HARD EARN MONEY. I TRULY HATE NINE 9.

DO NOT SIGN CONTRACTS OR GIVE MONEY

After seeing a add on Facebook offering auditions for a series called Newark discribed simular to a Sopranos I applied Iw as called in for open call. They said I was great and they would submit my photos and I would be good for other work. Long story short I believed them paid 525.00.oh another thing my girlfriend went with me when she complained about the fee inknown to me they offered her a better deal cut the price but she was smart and didnt take the bait.48 hours later when I asked for my money back because they never submitted me for the roll and lied about my age.And on top of that my sister was to recieve 6 weeks of chemotherpy so i would not be able to work anywaybut they werent submitting me any way!! They said ok gave me false email addresses I kept getting returned mail etc. I finally after 2 months gor the correct email only to have them say sorry we cant refund you now. !! bottom line DO NOT SIGN ANYHING OR GIVE MONEY!! And they are not reconized by the BBB. Thats how bad they are.

Was there for a Disney audition, they were a 3rd party.

I have friends in this industry who are professional actresses and models, I also used to work in commission sales, which is Nine9's M.O. so I'll blow this lid right open. Here's the deal on them... 1. They take advantage of people that don't know how to utilize the resources at their disposal. For example. No one needs to pay 800.00-1,000.00 dollars for a professional portfolio with head shots. This is A-List industry costs, which no one charges in base-line agencies for up-and-coming actors and models. An aspiring Photographer in your local area with a professional DSLR can take industry-standard photos for between 50.00-100.00 an hour. I know a few photographers personally. These photos also come out in better quality than the photos taken in their offices during the 2nd interview and cost exceptionally less. The photos on their website appear to be taken in low-light conditions, in noticeable low-resolution quality. This was red-flag number one. 2. "Acting classes." Again another open-doorway to take advantage of someone if they are not privy to local resources, or industry tricks, much like my photography example. For one, I can find all manner of free resources from established industry professionals online, for free. From youtube, to downladable .pdf files and even if we go paid with, lets say, a Masterclass workshop, or a local theater acting workshop, we are at a far lower price than "thousands and thousands of dollars." My wife for example, took a class with a former Broadway Theater actor, for 200.00 which covered two weeks of professional classes. So, so far we have between 50.00-100.00 for professional shoots, and 0.00-200.00 for a traditional acting class or workshop, and we are already halfway there with the portfolio for well under the 500.00 price point, with a couple hundred to spare. And let me not forget, talent is not so much an acquired thing as it is a hereditary, or born with, trait. Acting is not like, per-say, learning an instrument in that, it's not an acquired skill. Most people have that "thing" that makes them a good actor, or model, or they simply don't, period. No matter how many classes they take. 3. On the issue of them "finding us work." I just recently, was in an "audition" in one of their offices for a Disney casting call and role. I never got asked to quote a script, read anything or display any skill-sets or talents. I was immediately asked to come in for a 2nd interview after being told I was "so amazing." How? They've not seen anything yet! This concerned me a bit so I did some research, found testimonials like these, and I recalled how I got in contact. I submitted information from a Facebook link casting call. The link went directly to a mock-up website with a cut-copy-paste of the actual text and casting call information from the real and official Disney audition page. So what they in fact do, is find actual casting calls, and use these real-world opportunities to funnel people into thier offices. There is a term for this. It's something along the lines of "shady as *** I'm happy to say, I got into touch with the real Disney casting office, I have an audition this month, for free, without their help. My only costs is gas and travel. I can live with that. And you can find much, much more work from student films, to local calls, all found online, for free, with the right know-how. 4. This brings me to number four. They are essentially a commission only business. I spent over a decade in B2B commission sales, selling a legitimate service. There is tremendous pressure in commission sales, in that, you do not have a guaranteed paycheck every week. You're essentially paid a percentage through paying customers. I am almost certain Nine9 have stringent sales quota's to meet, which increase the pressure even moreso, to keep their jobs. This leads to practices as an experienced salesman myself to tickle the ears of your potential "customers" with phrases like, "you're just what were looking for" and "your energy is just amazing, we'd love to see you again" all feel-good appeals to emotion with a touch of charisma, leading the potential to be more inclined to shell out of pocket for something, that is essentially not what they are there for. This also explains the damage-control I see the company C.E.O. and their employees doing on every channel that criticizes Nine9. Including your above comment. That's not a good look. It reeks of desperation and saving face. So, this leads me to my final conclusion as A) someone not born yesterday and B) a resourceful and crafty man with years of sales experience, charisma, the gift of gab and an actual acting talent to boot with friends in the biz. Their company is full of *** They are not "up front" about anything at all. Until after the fact. Up-front, is knowing when I go buy something, that I'll be buying something. Not being invited to what is presented as essentially an "interview", then asked to buy something. Come on now people. How can they even call that "up-front." I'm about to laugh this is so ridiculously hilarious. My advice to Nine9, is to just be up-front. If it's a 500.00 dollar package just say-so. You'd be surprised how many people would actually respond very positively to a direct, and an up-front, no-nonsense approach. I mean I literally went to an "audition" that wasn't the actual audition I wanted to go to, and it was for something else entirely I have no interest in. They have to see why this rubs people the wrong way, and makes them come off as a scam. Best of luck to you. ~ Fayenwolf

Liars, Yes, Scam, by definition, no

When they were one source talent they screwed me over. I have put the same comment today on many posts and wanted to show anyone who researches them before they go to a so called shoot, aka lying interview, that they are horrible people. After posting here I went to one of their youtube and facebook pages. On their youtube channel, they explain they are not a talent agency. Sorry, not they, she. Both women are the same person. Here is what I wrote in their comments. I want everyone here to also know all their comments are good, except mine, which is near impossible on a Youtube channel with more than 90 comments. Here is my breakdown of the video. Ladies and Gentlemen, listen closely and please read, I promise I will save you, like other people and youtubers who describe Nine9 as a scam and not a scam. They are definitely liars, but not a scam. In this video, I will break down truths and lies. Lie number 1, they are not an entertainment industry, they are a marketing agency. They LEGALLY STEAL your money. Research on pissedconsumer.com if you don´t believe me. This post, for now, will get a lot of unlikes here because of employees and people they pay to write here. Continuing on.....At 39 seconds she talks about false claims and people who benefit....exactly, them. At 55 seconds, not an agency...TRUE. This is way they trick so many. In the Hollywood/Miami location, I asked, "Are you a casting agency." Her response, "we like to think we are." Ok more...They try to make agencies sound bad as if it is bad you pay a percentage......Truth and Lie.....As an actor you don´t pay a percentage - Your agecy TAKES a percentage, which is usually 10% AFTER you work and they have cut you a check. 1:15, LIE agents are not less likely to represent talent outside of the norm. There is no "norm" There are all walks of life in films, such as extras....look in the background and find me a norm. 1:22, "a talent that has experience or a specific look" LIE, a director looks for that, NOT an agency. Agencies will send all those who have signed up with them an email letting you know what a director wants and oftentimes it is just anyone as a first response gets to act. 1:36 New talent have a difficult time to find management because they don´t know where to go and sadly, Nine9 advertises well. Why? Because they are a marketing company. FYI- I had no prior experience, was called day 2 after signing up and was cast on Burn Notice as an extra. 1:50 "A beginner is less likely to make a manager money right away." LIE - Once cast, you are making your manager money. So, is she agreeing that you should make yuour manager money? Hmm...caught ya. How much does Nine9 make right away.....$465 + 39.99 for website?? A few minutes after, they speak about marketing materials. You do not need marketing materials for a true agency. You need a headshot. 2:26. Marketing material allows them to get "the exposure they need." True and False, it can help get exposure, but not exposure for directors who want to cast you on film. Directors DO NOT call Nine9 because they are NOT an Agency. Nine9, like other websites can show you where auditions are and to not be a scam, they must, but they only do this after you have paid a hefty amount of money. At 2:49. around 3:14, she is talking about reviews and credible claims. Why would she NEED to? It is because so many have been lied to. Notice a comment previously by James Hultz. He says, " I think the best part about these guys is when I get paid I get ALL of the money. I don't have to pay a percentage to them" and he also says he has been "booked" for tons of stuff. If Nine9 is NOT a talent agency or not a Director, THEY CAN´T BOOK YOU. However, you can book yourself once you find an audition. 3:33, lol, millions of great experiences are reviewed all online. Once again, she is creating a reason here to be skeptical about going to this company. She knows Nine9 gets nothing but bad reviews, except when employees and other paid persons are to write them such as previously before me. Go search them on pissedconsumer and youtube and find how many happy customers they have. Oh, and I have experience with them. At the end she speaks of strangers´ reviews. Look at Tripadvisor. People rely on strangers because most of them have nothing to gain. In my extremely long review here, I have nothing to gain except pleasure when they lose customers from me. I was lied to when they were One Source Talent and I made them lose customers after writing on pissedconsumer in 2011. A few years after that, they changed their name to Nine9. You have lied to too many and destroyed their dreams. You are definitely liars and disrespectful people. You are the ones who need to be destroyed as a company. I am back. You made me lose money, 1000s of other people lose money, and now once again, I am going to make you lose money, hopefully everything, because all of those people uneducated or not, you stole their money. And this time, I have a lot of help. Welcome to the TRUTH. My experience with nine9 is here on my website at http://www.thirstforenglish.com/2018/10/23/how-to-get-into-acting-talent-agencies/ My original job is an English teacher. The most popular casting agency is Central Casting out of LA and NY. You´re Welcome :)

Completely a scam

Company used Tyler Perry roll call to lure you in. When you get there they never mentioned Tyler Perry it's definitely not a audition for anything . Main objective is selling you pictures for 500 that's not done by a professional photographer. The lady who works front desk is photographer. The pictures are taken outside in front of building. The white lady comes in to butter you up. Than they send Judah of Ascort in to sign the deal which is the black woman. Anything that was done under handed was presented by the blacks so at the end who you feel betrayed by your own kind. Black people stop letting this system use you I know you need money but this is wrong and misleading and stop lying when I couldn't present money right than you came up with another option . Don't fall for this you will definitely be pissed lucky I read reviews before going in
