Worst customer support I have ever seen in 50 years of working with computers.

Worst ever and not even close. They took our web site down in the middle of the night with no warning, discussion or explanation. It is still down two days later. Their supposed "tech support" is just a bunch of people on phone lines repeating canned garbage. You can't reach anyone who knows anything. They have no phone number and no e-mail. Worst of all: it has been confirmed by multiple analysts with expertise in the area that there was NEVER any issue with the web site. They asked Netfirms to supply samples / headers of the supposed emails that were being sent and they outright refused. Such a bad experience, I have no words for it

I want to reinstate my domain name and also pay to continue my website. Please call me at 604-727-****.

Billing Disaster

They kept charging me for domains I had moved away. I later found out that the domains had privacy enabled, and their system bills that separately. Very weird, but I've been working on taking all of my 20+ domains away from them over the past year. In Canada, for .ca domains, I highly recommend CanSpace. For any other domains, I would highly recommend Cloudflare. Best prices and not a scam like Netfirms. Will NEVER recommend them to anyone, ever.

Cancel auto renewal of my domain Koprio.com

I have tried to change auto renewal to manual on my dash board for five times and was unable to do so. I cant find customer service number on my domain page so I have to google to find it and make the call. Then I have to wait for 25 minutes before the agent can change it to manual for me. This should not happen to a hosting company. It prompts me to move away to another hosting company.

DO NOT GET

Never had more issues with a web service provider. Hate working on the website that is hosted with Netfirms at the moment. Currently redoing the website and will be moving the domain and hosting to Godaddy where all my other websites and client websites are. absolutely HATE netfirms. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. When uploading new pages it doesn't 'refresh' probably and will show pages that are deleted off the server. The clear internet cache trick doesn't even work. So incredibly annoying when trying to fix things or make sure things work live and links wont change from the original format even tho that page doesn't exist and everything is correct on the computer before uploading. Can even delete everything from the ftp site and then reupload and it STILL show old content. You have to answer a whole bunch of security questions when asking for help to fix this program which slow everything down and get frustrates me to no end. Not the only issue I have had with netfirms over the year. HORRIBLE AND DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!

Would not recommend

This host worked okay until they revamped the gui and tools, now it is awful and the support people are awful. I have about 10 sites hosted with them and I dread having to migrate these sites to another host but I will have no choice since they have gotten so bad

Overbilled, no resolution

I prepaid for all my websites at one time. They kept billing me for three of them for years afterwards. I called customer service--zero help (per normal). I wrote a letter to corporate detailing the issue and asking for them to resolve. No response in 3 years since.... Very poor customer service. All they had to do was listen to a recording of the phone order and they would have immediately seen their error. They just chose to ignore the facts and collect the money...

ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT!

I am still attempting to get into my account. Tech support at Netfirms is non-existent. They seem to be unable to wrap their heads around a simple password reset! It is infuriating at this point. 3 weeks in already! Is there anyone in the entirety of this company that can get me access to my account? They were able to bill me, but not give me access. They did refund me, but I STILL NEED ACCESS TO TRANSFER THE DOMAIN TO THE CLIENT. I hope this simple sentence makes it to someone that understands how to do something this simple. I've never had this much trouble with ANY other company I 've ever dealt with! Not even bank accounts do this stuff. I have provided a photocopy of my driver's license, I have spoken on the phone, I have about 15-20 phone calls in at this point, emails up the ***

Horrible Service-DO NOT use this company

I have spent 4 months with absolutely no resolution to a refund they owe me. They only give you email access to their billing escalations department so they can just basically keep you money. No one really knows what is going on because they send emails that make no sense and clearly do not keep chronological notes. I am planning to report this company to the FTC and BBB not because of $167.00 but because they are totally lacking customer service, stealing our money with this "only email" service that doesn't respond. Even after receiving an email saying my refund will process, no refund credited and now no answers to email. This company needs to be investigated. Proof: Hello Sheila, I can really understand your concern regarding this matter. I have refunded full full amount of $167.40 for your new credit card ending '1814'. It generally takes seven to ten business days for your bank to reflect the amount to your account. Also, I have scheduled your account for cancellation after two weeks that is on December 29, 2018 as per your request. The account will be cancelled automatically on the scheduled date If you have any further questions, please contact us thrugh email or chat with us at https://www.netfirms.com/chat/ . Sincerely, Pavithra A Billing Specialist

Tech support is useless

The most incompetent support staff in the industry. Avoide the hassle - pick anyone else

Wow, they suck

Have been a customer of Netfirms for several years. Have watched their performance deteriorate over the years. Recently my website disappeared from the web. Called technical support many times. Each time I got a different answer; none of which helped the situation. Finally, a tech told me to get a court order to make them help. So much for customer support. Why would I ever do business with them again? It is sad when a company views its customers as an inconvenience. They could have been proactive but instead relied on giving me bad advice always followed by "wait 24 hours for the changes to take effect." Never once did they attempt to work with me to solve the problem, rather it was always call back later. Of course, calling back later never helped.

Incompetent technical support – mess with my website few time and cannot install SSL properly

It has been two weeks that I am trying Netfirms to install SSL on one of my domain name [I paid or 3 years] and still they having problem installing it. After two weeks they confirmed that they install it manually. Even after installing it manually still the https shows not fully secured with exclamation sign! So where is the QA of this company - they do not know what https should show when typing URL with SSL. Also, when asked them to reinstall a working version of that website still after three weeks nothing happened and every time different stech support give BS story. nOW i AM TRYING TO GET A MANAGER ANY THEY ARE RELUCTANT WHY! I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND CANCEL ALL MY ACCOUNT WITH THEM.

Support Staff with no experience - no support phone number on website.

Be advised, when you call support, you'll speak to someone and explain your issue, then they'll wait on the phone with you for someone on their support team to reply to them. Usually a member of support of a hosting company are staffed with professionals who have experience. I've been on the line for 10 minutes and 9 seconds, I've had to repeat my simple problem 3 times and the incompetent young lady has been quiet for 5 minutes... I asked is she there, she stated rudely " Just hold". If this was godaddy my 500 server error would have been resolved by now because you're always speaking to a support technician. Slow and unprofessional.

BAD, BAD, BAD CUTOMER SERVICE

I moved all of my domains and hosting accounts to Netfirms about 5 years ago...primarily because I would be able to talk to a live person if there was a problem. Unfortunately, I soon discovered you can only talk to someone after waiting in Hold *** for a long time (sometimes over an hour) and their techs are not very knowledgeable and barely interested in helping. Until recently, the inconvenience of moving my domains and hosting elsewhere kept me there. But the problems have become worse over time. More and more they are insulating themselves from live conversation with anyone that has a problem involving billings or errors of their part. As my domains and hosting terms expire, I will move everything to another host and registrar. Avoid these people like the Plague!!! They are deceptive, insensitive, money grubbers. Customer service is something to which they only pay lip service.

Domain Verification - NETFIRM SUCKS, CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS

Their ability to be any kind of helpful in a situation that was brought upon them is HORRIBLE. The lack of knowledge the staff has is horrendous, exhausting to listen to and communicate with. They have no idea what they are talking about, the English barrier is frightening, not helpful at all with a wait time of at 30 minutes before someone even picks up. All they had to do is resend the link for the ICANN verification to a different email then the one on file. Well, that was to hard to do, they insisted that I send over a copy of my license and a DBA of my business to verify myself. Makes NO SENSE, none. My site had been down for over 3 days now, losing money each day it is down and they could give a rats ***. I ended up buying my old domain again that the email went to originally associated with my account, getting the link and able to verify within seconds. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING! Oh yeah, not to worry Netfirms, you just lost a loyal customer. *** OFF!
