What the *** do my results mean? Im lost is it my ancestors or ppl from that place in general please specify.

Careless errors on one of your Historical Spotlight pages

So far, there has been no action. If I see no action after a week, I will have to see if pissedconsumer.com offers anyway to escalate a problem.

On your Historical Spotlight page about the Roman Tannery DNA samples https://mytrueancestry.com/dashboard/main.py#nav-viptannery1 one of your employers has made some seriously jarring typos (of the kind that seriously detract from the pages accuracy and professionalism) in an important bit of the text. The erroneous text (detailed below) matters to me, partly because Im a 99% genetic match for one of the samples listed there. Specifically, the text on the page includes the following sentence: Nearby in the tannery is etched the phrase: Mors Orem villeins, Vivite, alt, venio. Death plucks my ear and says Live for I come. Although the page correctly states the meaning of that famous Latin phrase as you doubtless know, it is the famous closing sentence of one of Virgils minor poems: The Woman Tavern-keeper whoever added that material to this page has: /a/ very glaringly misspelled/mistranscribed the actual Latin words (an unfortunately easy thing to do, if one is copying from handwriting of that date: as certain letters in the Latin scripts of that time often take forms that are somewhat unfamiliar/unexpected today) and has also /b/ rather confusingly (and verity annoyingly) seriously mis punctuated the (otherwise correct) English translation provided. Correctly written, the Virgil quote that is being (mis)copied in your Roman Tannery historical spotlight is (if I may emphasize each word, for clarity as you correct) MORS AUREM VELLENS VIVITE AIT VENIO and the English translation (if _properly_ punctuated!) should appear as: Death plucks my ear and says: Live, for I come. I hope you wont mind fixing it unless, instead, you could perhaps show me that the spelling-mistakes made in the Latin _were_ in fact, _all_ actually made in the original inscription in that tannery? (Im open to the possibility that at least some of the mistakes were the fault of a long-ago bad speller: though _not_ all of them are explicable on that assumption!) so please fix any mistakes that _cannot_ be shown to have actually occurred in the original tannery NOT actually made in the inscription itself, but that were made by a later copyist/transcriber/typist: including, of course, fixing the mistaken & confusing punctuation of the English rendition, if you will! After all: /1/ I want to know that Im getting the accuracy and professionalism Im paying for! since Ive just recent,y upgraded to King, I expect to get my moneys worth as I consider whether to purchase any further upgrades and /2/ One of my ancestors is watching you.

Over charges due to website failure. Four emails and no customer service number? I liked what I got but am owed almost $400. So I his is horrible.

No customer service Over charges after site do I'd not update I kept trying to add money but no extra benefits came. No contact has been made.

MyTrueAncestry charged me twice for one upgrade

MYTrueAncestry charged me twice for one upgrade. I have sent three emails to them in the last four days and so far no one has gotten back to me. If you use MyTrueAncestry double check your account that you use and make sure you were not charged twice. I personally regret using MyTrueAncestry.

Problems with upgrading

Good evening ! I am Alain Fortané ( cf. alain.fortane@***.net ) and I manage 5 autosomal DNA accounts on your site. Until a short time, I was enrolled on the "KING" level (3). On January 9 I wanted to upgrade to the CAESAR level (4), to take advantage of a promotion of the moment (34 USD). I had several issues validating my payment for the CAESAR upgrade. I had to start over several times in order for this one to be confirmed to me.Moreover, today, when I log on to your site, the level indicated for my count has returned to "KING" (3); idem after several attempts. In addition, I saw that on my bank account, the amount of this upgrade will be debited, at the end of the month, 4 times for the same day, January 9, 2021, or 4 x 34 USD. So Im going to pay 4 times this upgrade. Could you please resolve these two issues (return to Level 4 Caesar, 3 x 34 USD refund) as quickly as possible. Payment issues?

I upgraded my account on 11/21/2020 I paid via Apple Pay, Ive also reported an issue there. It shows the payment goes through Stripe, I was going to contact them but they dont accept my email address. I upgraded to Caesar level...$125 for the discounted amount. My payment has had an issue or something, my account it not showing updated, now even shows expired. Im very frustrated with the lack of support and the fact I feel Im out $125.

No refund.

Mytrueancestry is overpriced expensive. When you upgrade to see a hidden result it then says you need to upgrade again to see it. As in pay more than once for the same thing when you believed otherwise. The facebook group is unhelpful, just a bunch of people sharing tv shows and not facts, which you dont dare talk about. Features dont work like sharing kit results. Can't believe i ever encouraged anyone else to try this stuff out let alone everyone. It's fun and looks good at first- but when you get into it after a while the truth is it is anything but. There are no research links or explanations for samples, except on rare occassion and even then it is pay more money to see it! 250$ in and i wish i realised how little knowledge i was getting and how unfriendly their "support" and admins would be to help get some fun out of it. There is a censoring and NOT sharing of ideas or opinions in their group. For instance dont hint at there being any archaeology that challenges the out of africa theory or one of those wonderfully inaccurate "historical" tv shows. That gets you booted out and you still didnt get your problems with the site "features" sorted out. No discussion allowed. They make you update and reupload dna in order to get new improved results, so what more do you know than what was on your original dna result? Be happy with that and dont try this. Nothing more, but now youre broke wasted hours and had the benefit of getting fb trolled, unoriginal.

Same raw data different results

I uploaded two of my Raw data sheets one is from Ancestry the other nat- geo. I expected the same results, but they're very different. Why is this?

Cannot sign in as it tells me my password is wrong . When I try to access the the option of changing my password it tells me that the link has expired.

Resolved: Completely uninteresting!!!!

Once I was able to contact the company via email, they in fact did prove to be legitimate and even offered a refund. After discussing the matter with one of their representatives, I was better able to understand how their services work.

I found the rep.

to be respectful and genuinely caring about why I felt dissatisfied with the service and was offered to return back to the site for future breakthroughs in their services. This has truly been resolved and handled appropriately.

Attempting to cancel and have no way to contact to cancel account- seems like a scam

Can't unsubscribe email

I tried their test and didn't really see any value. Now I continually get advertising emails with no way to stop them. I deleted the test but no option is provided to unsubscribe from the emails. If you try this company's dna report you will be receiving spam emails from them forever.

Ripping me off

Downloaded my raw dna got error message saying I needed to upgrade. I tried but kept getting error message. And No way to contact company except a email address. Shady,shady,shady.
