Our Experience
Model Act Studios does not ask for money up front. It is a school that teaches young talent how to navigate the industry and gives them the tools needed to be successful. I read a lot of the reviews and I can tell you that those reviews are not true.

When I audition for MAS I sat down and Robert and this special guest lady asked me a few questions about myself. I was probably in his office for like 15min and they asked me if I can come in the next day for a second interview. Which I obviously said yes which I live 45min away I still drove out to mas just for them to tell me that they want to recruit me and they also asked money upfront $500 for a 3 day seminar... which I felt a lot of pressure because I wasnt sure what was the right decision to make. They didnt give me time to think about it or discuss it with my family. So I said sure why not. After that I also paid 30$ for some app to have all my information so Robert can send it to casting calls and so.... but I never got any emails from him reaching out to me.... Im not sure if I just got unlucky but Im glad I got a refund.

Excellent team for my daughter!
When my daughter got an audition at Model Act studios, I decided to look up reviews and they made me so skeptical. There are some bad ones! My daughter got a call back, we met with Robert assuming we would get charged up the *** to sign with him. Turns out, we pay for actual classes to teach my daughter skills on how to act, how to audition and how to model. We decided to try it out with a 6 month contract to see if she even liked it and viewed it as an extra curricular activity. We are so happy we did. The staff is extremely wonderful and so caring! Sabrina and Kelly are such a great team with classes and photos and I trust their judgements and opinions. The bad reviews on here are most likely from parents who didn’t care enough to actually pay attention, practice and time needed to succeed. It’s easy to give up and blame someone. I say make your own judgement. I did and I’m so happy I ignored the bad reviews. My daughter is way more confident after 8 months and these classes have been hugely beneficial to her. - Grapsas Family

My daughter has been going here for over a year and absolutely LOVES LOVES IT! Rob, Kelly,and Sabrina are PHENOMENAL to say the least. The classes they teach are top of the line and definitely prepared my daughter for acting jobs and auditions. Money well spent, trust me WORTH EVERY PENNY. Saddens me to see negative reviews. The people here are so professional and care about their clients. My daughter has had acting classes elsewhere and chose this place above all others. Highly recommend

Thank you so much for your honesty and the time you took to give us your experience for the rest of us parents. I was just fooled in believing that model act studio was the real deal. I am extremely disappointed since I am starting to see and pick up on things here and there. As for every month auditions that has NOT been the case thus so far. I am extremely disappointed and I really appreciate the information you have so kindly provided. I will call on of the below schools and get my child enrolled. Thank you much!

The truth about showcases like Model Act Studios... Model Act Studios accepts everyone, let’s be honest about that. If they only accepted people that actually have a chance to make it in the business they wouldn’t be making much money. There so called classes cost $2,200! I know because I let them fool me into letting my 12 year old daughter join. I paid that money. Money that I worked hard for and many of you have too. It makes me sad how people fall into these kind of traps. My daughter learned nothing! Absolutely nothing about the business or how to act! They offer 2 hours every 2 weeks for “training” for 6 months. Every month your child auditions in front of local and out of town industry professionals. Which is pretty cool, but not worth the money. Something I learned is that these kind of school don’t go on your resume! These schools are viewed as jokes. I was talking with a L.A talent manager. They told me to NEVER put these showcases on my resume. Agents ,managers , Casting Directors want to see REAL acting schools on your resume. I’ll name some real Acting school that are worth the price. Way cheaper than Model Act Studios and your kids actually learn something. Acting Schools: Vagabond School of Arts Acting Studio Chicago Green Room Studio Chicago Actors Studio Second City Chicago Green Shirt Studio Those are the best schools in Chicago. The acting BIZ is hard and not anyone makes it. I wish you and your child the best! Don’t fall into these kind of traps.

Waste of money and time
Model Act Studios is simply a place that charges an arm and a leg for acting lessons! They are not agents so don’t be fooled. Definitely not worth the thousands of dollars! Don’t be pressured to sign a contract especially without taking the time to read carefully. You’ll be pressured to travel to New York for IMTA competition. Save your money and just find a legit agency, The are closing their Schaumburg location because of their bad reputation and opening a new office in Lemont so please take caution. They also fill out their own reviews to try to counteract the complaints people are leaving about them as so many parents are dissatisfied with them.

My Son has been with Model Act Studios for 8 months now. He has learned so much and has worked with some Amazing people. Model Act Studios provided monthly meetings with Top Agents and now my son is currently represented by in LA!!! We got our first submission sent to us last week directly from the agency!! Amazing, Class Act, Top Notch!
We (my daughter) has been with Model Act for almost 3 years. Everything is on the up and up. We were made aware from the start about pricing and given time to go over the contract (they gave us time as a family to think it over). The staff is top notch and has not had any turn over since we have been there. They bring in top agents from all over the US on a monthly basis for auditions, host seminars with top agents, casting directors, entertainment companies, etc... My daughter has signed with an agency in Chicago and a Management company in the LA/Atlanta/Ny market as well and has an agency appointment next week with another in the Mid West region! This is the real deal!!!

Model Act Studios -- Stay Away!
First of all, learn to spell "Faulse", how can you teach students if you need to educate yourself first!!! Secondly, you say you never went by a different name, you first went by Robert Michaels!!!! Now you changed it to Robert Michaels Masny!!!! You are a con artist! All your "good" reviews come from friends (so sad). Stop hyping your agency up, you go through employees like water. The people who teach your "acting" classes have no acting skills (they are wonna be actors). People can make it in this business without your services and you know it! And this is not a FALSE claim. Read all the posts people have said about your agency. It is not possible that all are FALSE! You are making a living on money that parents work so very hard for. Get real!!!

Model Act Studios is corrupt!!!!
The owner, Robert Masny, is just in the business to get rich and line his owns pockets and live a lush lifestyle! His nice-guy image is just a huge smoke-screen to turn on his charm to convince you to sign on with his agency and once you sign a contract, there is no way out!!!!! He has a huge turnover with instructors who he says are the best but in actuality he takes what he can get and those folks work with your kids. Very unfortunate because it affect's your child's success. Please spend the time and do your homework parents! This will costs you THOUSANDS of dollars which you work very hard for! Please think twice. Ask to take the contract home to have the time to read it fully! My guess is he will try to rush you to sign! I suggest you go to a well-known studio with a great reputation!

To all, if you believe this place is legit please ask the read the contract or take it home. Please ask about the cancellation policy. They will kick you out and tell you to come back in 6 months and tell your child to go get some experience somewhere else. Stay away scam artist. I will post on here every single day about this place until something is done.

Horrifying to my child
To all please stay away from this place. It is all about the money. I was there today with my child they pumped us up and they told us that we really liked us, you can be someone you can go somewhere. When I asked about the cost and the contract that's when everything went South. They refused to let me see the contract they refused to tell me anything about the cost unless I committed to putting my child into the program. I asked about the cancellation policy they would not tell me anything. I told him that I would sign the contract but I would need to read the whole thing in entirety and it probably would take me 2 hours. Then they came back 15 minutes later and told me that my child needed to go to school and take drama classes and get in school plays to get more experience what a scammer. Now my daughter's in tears can't control herself cuz of this awful place. Please stay away. I am a real person. If you contact me I will contact you back to explain the details exactly what happened here. Horrible horrible horrible place. Run run, run.
