What is this scam?

Just received message ("recommendation") of a link to entering competition with Aerlingus, so I followed the link, was asked to enter my mobile number, which I did and received some "pin" code number to enter. Did that and received message that I will be charged 7.50 Euros per week until I text "stop" to a given number. I promptly did to get rid of this scam immediately only to find out that those 7.50 Euros have been taken from my credit! Unbelievable! Why is someone not prosecuted for this - obvious - scam? FRAUD

Out of the blue Minted Mobi started taking £4.50 a week out of my mobile account and will not stop doing so despite my protests. What can I do - presumably this is a matter for the police. Worse, Lebara, my mobile service provider, will not do anything to help despite my repeated requests. How do Minted Mobi perpetrate this sophisticated fraud? Does anyone know, and does anyone know how to prevent similar frauds, please? Out of the blue Minted Mobi started taking £4.50 a week out of my mobile telephone account with Lebara and will not stop doing so despite my repeated protests. They are clearly acting criminally.

Ripped off

I as have many others unwitting been scammed by this company, i am disabled housebound and have limited vision and on pension and cannot afford to loose this money. I thought i was entering a competition on a Tesco website not a bogus scam, My partner on further investigation texted about what to do sent the text STOP but it didn't work they sent 3 text messages costing me £13.50. on checking my mobile i had only a few pence left and if i had needed assistance i could have been in serious trouble I had to put put more credit on my mobile then yesterday i lost another £9. Desperate to sort this out my partner phoned our provider who advised us to try the stop text again which he did and we got a reply but as others have said on other websites it doesn't always work, my provider have said as long as i have the text they have no comeback if they try to take anymore money, but i am still out of pocket and to me its a lot of money. I am sick with worry over this and don't know what else to do i need my money refunded to me and the assurance it wont happen again lll

Short Review on May 25, 2016

I answered a simple text purporting to be for Asda. Soon realised it was not on up and up and up but too late as already billed to my mobile phone account. I am furious and have tried many times to speak to someone to no avail. These scammers should be locked up. I will keep trying to sort this out though.

Sb7 mobile or minted mobi

Yet again, I have more problems with this company, despised opting out by txt twice, and an email sent to the company asking them to stop taking my money the saga still goes on, its like groundhog day same problem different day. I was assured by the directed by email they would stop , and a text message saying I was unsubscribed another £10was taken out, I have now got to change my number, I've got to say a massive thanx to my phone subcriber ee who assisted me greatly changing my number without charge, now that's what you call a professional company and an example to others.

Mini mobi text scammers

Please be careful when entering competitions to win Tesco, ASDA or Morrison voucher I stupidly did this recently and keep receiving unsolicited texts from minted mobi costing me £4.50per text, these crowd of crooks despite my telling them to stop carried on texting wiping over £10from my phone, when I complained to them they told me as I had unwittingly subscribed their rip of service they were in their rights to keep my money and would not refund my money under any circumstance, then added have a nice day, I replied make the most of yours as you are going to be reported and will become famous when I contact BBC watchdog, so beware never reply to 60444 or text lotto these people will swindle your cash faster than you can shout stop thief.
