Parts & labor warranty scam
unfair and deceptive business practices of Mike Williams Plumbing. Here's how the scam works: a consumer calls Mike Wms Plumbing in need of a service call. They send a good con man out to trap a new customer into their P&;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;L warranty scam. The con man looks at the plumbing problem and verbally proposes an amount. The con man then fill outs the P&L warranty scam form yet also hand writes what they will do THAT DAY to repair the problem. The consumer is then asked to sign the form thinking that they are authorizing commencement & payment for the job done THAT day when in fact it is a signature for Mike Wms Plumbing to scam the bank numbers from the bottom of check in order to get unauthorized automatic withdrawals from the consumers account monthly for the P&L warranty scam. The P&L warranty scam and that day's work are bunched together to defraud the consumer. EXTREMELY DISHONET & SHADY ORGANIZATION. AVOID MIKE WILLIAMS PLUMBING AT ALL COSTS.

COMPLETE SCAM ARTIST
My A.C., while older, was not working well. The technician told me it was obsolete, needed freon and that it was not worth repair. They did give me the option to recharge the freon for $700 to which I declined. They charged me $90 dollars and left with nothing done other done to try and scam me . I called another company and they recharged the freon for only $140. Save your time and money and DO NOT CALL OR USE MIKE WILLIAMS HVAC!

70.00 for a Quote that is three times the nearest competition
Beware of this company's quoting system. They had the nerve to sell me a quote for 69.95. We were not in an emergency and we called to have a Drop standard 22" by 33" kitchen sink. We are talking a standard kitchen sink. That needs nothing special than stand install equipment. We already purchase the sink from Lewis and ordered a nice garbage disposal. So we may need PVC replacment pipes which should cost no more than 50.00 with a plumer Equipment uplift fee. A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH FOR GENERAL PRICING ON A INSTALL. Will give you a general cost with a break down of why. The cost should be anywhere from 250 to 700 on the high end due to special reason. And that would be for special cutting or fitting. Will can you guess there quote. Will it was over 2000.00 for them to install a sink I already owned, garbage disposal I already purchased. Then they offered me a monthly maintenance plan I can save a percentage now if I take it to 6 months. Bringing the quote down to 17xx.00. What a joke .then he offered to take payments. I should them the door , what a joke . There quote had no breakdown if pricing. I have the quite and I might upload as proof of this unbelievable bold company. Sorry but this scam may work for some possibly elderly which makes me feel sick. Google your quote. I saw other people quote that they were over charged. But with no break down at made me sick to pay for that quote. 70.00 down the drain

Rip Off
Due to the channel I listen to each day to and from work. I have to be subjected to the Mike Williams Ad. We had them out to get an estimate for a job. It was outrageous. We declined, but then charged us $70.00 for the estimate...What a rip off for seniors...I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this. We weren't even told about the estimate charge...That they don't put on the radio and it gets me upset so each time the ad comes on, I turn it off until it is over.....We have another company come and do the work for much...much...much less, and did a beautiful job and we are very satisfied. Unlike the hired lady who brags about Mike Williams....I wouldn't want anyone to see their truck in my drive....I would rather go the other hired gentleman, playing her son, and have him park in my drive....Many companies come out for an estimate and it's "free".....If they are so great, they can't be hurting for money, so not charging an estimate fee should not exist....Even the lower companies don't charge....Nothing to do with promising good work, just a common courtesy..,...This should be the ad on the radio......Better Business Bureau here I come!!!!! When people ask who does our plumbing.....Mike Williams is when one scrapes the barrel...... I think the public should be aware of this company......Read some of the reviews on line....

I was disappointed with no service.
I called for a repair to a commode. The tech showed up and told me I had more problems that what I had called in and then refused to do the job with the excuse that they didn't work on mobile homes. The set up/installation is no different that a standard home. I called another plumber and got prompt service to correct the problem that I had called about. There were no further problems. I'll not call again and if asked, there will be details on why I wouldn't. The firm that did the work did a fine job, kept me informed and treated me like I knew what I was talking about. The tech from Williams treated me like a dummy.

Never again
I had a tenant who for whatever reason signed a contract for them to inspect his furnace. They showed up and told him that the newer furnace was a death trap and he needed to immediately replace it. I called another contractor and they sent out a tech who couldn't find any issues with the furnace and took the time to point out everything that was wrong with their inspection. This company is all about separating you from your money. They will try to up-sell you on services and perform unnecessary work to pad their invoice. Do yourself a favor and tune out their constant advertising and find a plumber you can trust.

Would not recommend them to anyone
Cost me 89.00 to walk in door. Installed new handles on both of my toilets, nothing else. Ended up costing over three hundred dollars. Tech was there for 15mins at the most. They are crooks! I can't believe how I was taken advantage of. I will not ever let them step foot in my house ever again. I figured that them being well known in Champaign they would not of ripped me off. Also, I am on a fixed income and this set me back. What happened to honest people doing an honest days work. If you figure this out what they make an hour doing this job it is highway robbery. Both my toilets were out of commission and did not have someone at the time help me out.

The service is excellent. Everything was explained to me as to what i would expect and what i was paying for. Very comfortable with the quality of work, and professional way they do business. Brennan Kelm was my service technician, he was excellent! I asked him if it was ok if I asked for him to do all of my service calls, and said of course. I give him ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Problem created from initial fix
A call was made on September 28th, and after $381 was paid to have the main drain snaked, there was a leak in the new plug that was put in by the technician (David Pieper). A call was made on October 6th am to request someone to come fix it. A call was received on October 7th @ 10:08 am to let us know someone would be here to look at it, but we may have to pay a service fee. We don't think it should be charged to us, since the call was to fix something that the technician messed up to begin with. Then another call was received @ 1:38 pm to let us know they were running behind, but hadn't forgotten us. No one called or showed up and another call came in @ 5:08 to reschedule. We decided to cancel our appointment at that time. Mike Williams Plumbing Heating and Cooling are more than eager to help when they are getting paid, but don't want to do anything when it comes to returning to fix their own mistakes and no money comes their way. Sad part is, it probably would only be a 5 minute job.

Over Priced and not local union
I had this company come out and look at my furnace. They wanted 2000.00 to replace my blower motor and do routine maintenance and that was with their supposed maintenance contract with 25% reduced price. They were nice but the price is highway robbery. And that truck is an eye sore to the neighborhood. All that weight is gonna tear up my driveway and streets. I will stick with my local businesses and unions. I will use William Masters or the Lane Company for now on. They send out a coupon which states maintenance for 59.95, turns out that is just their trip fee to get you to let them in so they can inspect your whole house and give you a quote for every mechanical piece of equipment and plumbing mechanism in your house. A regular water heater does not cost 5000. What is the owner of this company thinking? I will never let these slithering snakes in my house again.
