FAILED IGNITOR ASSEMBLY
THIS TANKLESS HOT WATER HEATER (NATURAL GAS) WAS PUT INTO SERVICE ON JAN. 21 OF 2020. Model RTG-70XLN-1 Serial number W47182****. The system failed without displaying an error code. Called Mike Scott Plumbing Inc. He replaced the igniter assembly and charged $137.00 for the service. I believe this assembly failed prematurely. I have had gas Tankless hot water heaters in my previous home for many years and required no service of the igniter assembly. The plumber indicated that there has been a rash of failures on this particular unit in the Villages, FL. I don't believe you sell a quality product. I am seeking reimbursement for the failure of your unit. Furthermore, I am also seriously considering a replacement from another vendor. This house was purchased brand new on June 21, 2019. I had no say in the choice of vendors. The contractors always put in the cheapest products and this is no exception.
