Buying 4 new tires and alihnment

Midas customer service or whoever I spoke with only asked me why I called gave me reference number and said thank you for calling ??? Very disappointed . Still need someone to answer my questions if it's not to much trouble ...423-660-****

They would not honor the warranty that I have in writing

I have contacted midas I have attached the emails from corporate ... Of midas I took my hummer to the Salem avenue Midas there I had to have brakes rotors and calipers put on I was going to go buy my own rotors and brakes but the guy promised me the manager his name was Byron he promised me I've got it in writing that if I use their brakes rotors calipers and had them do the work not only would I have 100% lifetime guarantee on the brakes but he would also extend it out to the rotors as well well the brakes were rubbing and I took it to the Midas on North Dixie because the Midas on statement avenue would close down they did not want to honor what the manager from Salem Midas wrote on my estimate I took my card there Saturday morning had to make three different trips up there to show him the paperwork instead of them copying it you know the first or second time Three trips up there and they finally said that they would do a rotor so they did over at one rotor and my brake pads but I don't think it's fair that they wrote me out an estimate that was my whole point in having Midas do it rather than going and buying the parts myself was because he also warranted out the rotors and the I wrote them and I will attach an email that was sent that has been between me and them complaining him saying that there was nothing they could do that they would not honor the rotors and I think that is crap! If they wouldn't have warranted the rotors then I wouldn't have had used there and rotors and brakes and paid twice as much as I would have asked to get on myself and have them put on

I was not happy with the service I received

I had some work done on my truck up at Edmonton alberta which included a wheel alignment & I asked to make sure my steering wheel was centered. After I left & on my way back to Saskatchewan I noticed that my steering wheel was not centered properly. I also never received a alignment specs sheet when I left & they said there was something wrong with machine & they would send it to me by email, which I never received. So when I got back to Sask I booked a appointment with Midas on Albert st north in Regina sask. I asked to recheck my alignment as I never got the alignment sheet from Midas in Edmonton & I asked them to reseal the rim on one of my tires as it was leaking. Midas in Regina also said I needed a lower ball joint on front driver side which I had replaced but wasnt mentioned when my truck was inspected in Edmonton, but Midas in Edmonton said I needed a upper control arm in order to do my alignment which I had replaced. So after Midas was finished with my truck I noticed that my steering wheel was still not centered like I asked for & also the tire they said they resealed on the rim was still leaking. So when I went in to complain about this they said it was probably due to a crack in the rim which I looked at & it was a small crack that was on the outside edge of the rim & wasnt where the tire & rim would seal so I asked them to reseal it but it leaked.I noticed when the guy did it he never cleaned the rim very well & also only put rim sealer in the area where the crack was . So when I went in to complain about the tire & alignment they said the alignment was probably due to some issue with my vehicle so probably why they couldnt align my steering wheel properly but no real answer given & my tire they said was due to the crack in rim. So when I went in to complain & ask for my money back for the tire as i took it to another tire shop & they had no problem sealing the rim & it didnt leak as was tested after & when they did it they cleaned the rim well with a wire wheel & used rim sealer all around the rim which Midas didnt do so this is why I think it leaked when Midas did it . I also complained to them about the alignment & asking them to recheck it & they refused & said they didnt know why my steering wheel wasnt re centered properly. Also the managers at both Midas locations were very rude & ignored my complaints & both asked me to leave without giving me a reason. I had to go to 2nd Midas location as Midas on north Albert st couldnt do my alignment as my tires were too big for their alignment machine. I think a customer has a right to complain when they have a complaint to bring up & it should be addressed fairly & honestly & not be threatened. Also if Midas didnt do the work properly Then the customer should be refunded. Please get back to me with a reply. Thank you.

Complaint

I went to midas in southfield, michigan, on June 30th, 2023 for a tune up. By the time I left that tune up, my car was backfiring. Which it was not doing before I took it in. It was cutting off. Which it was not doing before I took it in. It was vibrating a shaking so Hard which it was not doing before I took it in. I take it back to them so they can fix whatever they messed up and they tell me. Now I need a timing chain. And it's gonna cost me two thousand dollars to get a fixed. The only reason I took my vehicle in was to get And oil change and a diagnostic. Because my engine light was on. I knew 9 times out of 10 because my engine light was on that. I wouldn't need 02 sensors. I have been calling headquarters customer service so that they can have them resolve the issue. Give me back my money and replace my timing chain. I was told I would hear back from someone in customer service within seventy two business hours. Here it is july the seventeenth I caught them a couple of days ago and the guy told me I should hear from someone within 24-48 hours. Again it's july 17th and I still have not heard from anyone. Not only that every time I call. There's a young lady to answer the phone. And her name is Destiny. I personally believe she is in the wrong field period she has no customer service skills. You can hear the attitude when she answers the phone. That might as that sits on the corner of Greenfield and 11 mile road. I would not recommend anyone goes there.

Horrible up selling

I live next door to Midas - very convenient Last visit 2 months ago for an oil change, I dealt with horrible, non stop up selling..lost a customer for good! They see a woman coming think theyre going talk us into anything - WRONG!! NEVER going back no matter how inconvenient!

Catalytic Converter was never repaired

On 12/10/21, while visiting my mother in Philadelphia, I had a catalytic converter installed by the Midas due to theft at the Philadelphia PA (2300 E. Castor Avenue) shop, invoice number 101****. With a bill of $1,736.94, I left Midas with what I thought was a repaired vehicle. Not more than a week later, my engine check light indicator (P0139) was brightly lit, and my car was emitting some very strong fumes. I returned home to Louisville Kentucky and realized that my car was still having major issues with the catalytic converter. I conducted an on-line Midas locator search and found that the closest Midas to my home was in Georgetown, KY approximately one hour away. I contacted the Georgetown Midas, and they scheduled an appointment on 12/30/2021, where they replaced the exhaust pipe flange gasket. Not long after the flange gasket replacement, my engine check light indicator (P0139) was brightly lit again, and my car continued emitting some very strong fumes. I contacted the Georgetown Midas and scheduled another appointment. On 1/13/2022, they replaced the exhaust gasket with an OEM Honda gasket and replaced the exhaust manifold. Within a couple months my engine check light indicator (P0139) was brightly lit again so once again I reached out to the Georgetown Midas and on 3/23/22 they replaced the O2 sensor with a Honda OEM sensor. Fast forward to today, approximately 15 months later, my car is still NOT repaired and continues to receive engine check light indicators associated with the catalytic converter or exhaust system and continues to emit fumes. I am reaching out to Midas to rectify this entire issue and I am requesting a full refund of the original repair work conducted on 12/10/2021 for the amount $1,736.94. My expectation is that I be contacted by someone that can make decisions and take action. I recommend that smart consumer never use Midas for any form of repair, they never fixed my car, rectified the issue or compensated me for any amount. I had to pay an additional, $1200.00 to a local shop who finally fixed the original damage created by the catalytic convert theft on 12/10/21.

one of Midas location by 2525 monument blvd Concord CA , very bad service experience over there . Purchased 4 of the tires over there, one of them below is not flat or blown tire( only 7 months until find out the problem ) , the problem was found out by BigBrand tire&service for me without ask , told me the tire has problem, if I keep driving on the freeway I will get accident;and I asked if its Me drove caused the problem, they told me its the tires own problem, I can bring it back where I bought it got replaced. When I bring the tire back to Midas , first time they even didnt check the tire for me , after my husband called the manager, they checked it and told me its because I hit something so cut the tire like that , the Wheel hub was smooth nothing ruff on it , and how could the tire cut like that when we drove it ( just cut outside perfect way without making the tire flat , not nails cut like *** or knife cut smoothly? I dont get it at all)

Your company robbed me.

Idiot on4605 Frankford Road Dallas tx 75287, told me they put 7.7 quarts in to my engine, the goes only 5.7 quarts. They are so stupid they can't read invoice. They took $23.79 more than they have. Bad Customer Service

These guys are scammers! Terrible experience all the way around. I was quoted 69.99 for a full synthetic oil change. When I picked up the car, the cost had jumped from 69.99 to 79.99. The manager told me that all prices have went up. Really? I hadnt noticed! Hes is the master of the obvious. Prices are up, but shouldnt jump $10 from what you are quoted. They also pulled the emergency brake and didnt inform me. Needless to say I figured it out when I pulled away. The manager is a condescending jerk. I would never do business at this Midas again. Stay away from this Mickey Mouse outfit.

Dissatisified

Invoice exceeded verbal estimates, over 100% markup on parts and high labor charges. Ironically, always told this, this and this could go wrong. Beware of more parts replaced equals more labor charges. I was a regular customer!

Worst experience I've ever had with a company of any sort not just auto repair work. Mislead and lied to about parts and labor costs.

I was overcharged for brake pads and rotors by more than $400. Price for 1 axle cost $1,100 compared to the average $400 to $500. Let me believe I would get all 4 brakes for that price then spring the trap when it's all done and have no choice to go home with your car. Avoid this company at all cost!

I need help getting this resolved

It took three days for my car to get done I understand maybe they're waiting for the part then they charge me for coolant for $ 435 for coolant it didn't need then ask me about that. I just feel like I got overcharged for something that I didn't need on that and didn't fix the problem and could have told me I didn't need that detention or the belt cuz I have it and it's still good. Have the parts..

Dissatisfied with my service and treatment as a customer

I went to get my car serviced and when they did the diagnostic on the car they came back with a total of $1900 I asked them can they get the price down and still do what was need to be done they came back with a price of $1785. Then asked him if I had the services done would my car be good he said its should be fine. I came to Midas because of my dissatisfaction with the small auto repair company I went to before the guy behind the desk to me he understood and would take care of me. So again I asked him if I got the service done would o be good because I did not have $1785 to blow he said again I would be fine at Midas. So it took a few days to get my car back and within a few days I kept hearing a ticking sound then within a couple of weeks the car was overheating worse than it was before which was the main reason I brought the car in. When I came in I was naturally very unhappy and while I was not happy I was not rude but the front desk guy JD was trying to BS me and when I told him I dont have time for this he got attitude and told me I can win him over with kindness not anger which I thought was very much out of line and the said he does not have to listen to me and would just call the police and ask me to leave for no reason at but because he did not want to hear my complaints. I told him my mother is at home sick and I cant be hear going through a lot of none since he told me his mother is not well so I guess me all have problems. Again I feel Like that was out of line and Im sure not the way you want your customers handled when they are doing business with you and especially after they have already spent their money with you. I am very upset and would someone to fixed my car as it is down again 1 month after having it serviced. I am sure you know I would not have spent that amount of money on a car the would still breakdown when they could have just told me their was nothing they could do to help me and not take advantage of me as a customer. I would appreciate someone from the corporate office to contact me I have no desire to deal with your facility in Southfield, Mi on telegraph road so please do not have anyone from their call me. The manager of the store, Marc Dondero refused to do a NYS inspection on my vehicle. First his reason was that he didn't have enough time. I arrived at 4:37pm on a Tuesday and they close at 6pm. I had scheduled an appt online the week before for 4:30. He told me it takes an hour to do. Yet refused to do it. He told me that "online appointments don't count" and that I should have called the store. Then when he found out that I had a Groupon, he made fun of me and sent me away bc he said they only do service for "existing customers". He and his co-workers laughed at me and made fun of me bc of my request. He discriminated against me bc I didn't pay full price. He did not try to work with me in any way and was by far the most unprofessional "Manager" that I've ever experienced. I waited in the parking lot to see at what time they'd actually close up and he and his co-workers left the building at approximately 5:45, 15 minutes before the store was due to close. He obviously had something more important to do than to try to fit me in. The customer that was before me wanted to buy two new tires and have car serviced but he walked out bc this same manager refused to do a wheel alignment, stating there was no time. I called the "Customer Service" line and they told me they were actually a "customer feedback" line and she could do nothing for me but to request that I be called within 3 days by a superior. Today is Saturday and I've not heard anything back from anyone. There were no customers waiting on their cars when I arrived.

Midas Capital Blvd SCAM

SCAM... car is in worse shape since first visit. 11/22, 12/22 and 1/23 I've paid approximately 5k for car repairs. It went from breaks then alternator to alternator again. Now, my car will not move! I will be contacting my attorney, 20/20, local news, attorney general for scams. I've paid approximately 1800 in labor for 1 visit.
