The insurance company sent me a letter saying they don’t cover rodent issues, so I got nothing for my lost tvs or nothing

My belongings were left in metro storage and on 1/7/23 i we not to move my belongings out of storage it was infested with big rat droppings and my things were destroyed and metro say they dont cover rat droppings, so Im without clothes also!!.

I have a unit at a Minnesota

Upon calling management to request an answer to why they have to plow the snow into the doors and why they couldn't plow it away from the doors I was rudely dealt with I was sent a letter that did not answer my question they're overpriced and you don't really get anything for your money and they have a attitude of if you don't like it move

Complaint

I was in the process of moving out if my unit and ended ip in the hospital for four days within those four days my gate code was deactivated. When I got out of hospital I immediately was in contact with the facility and headquarters office about my issue. I was contacted back a few days later by the manager at that facility, which we made an agreement for me to pay a certain amount and I would be able to get the rest of my belongings. Ive been to the location three times to find a very rude employee, no manager. No way to contact the manager and still trying to remove the rest if my stuff. They are trying to keep my belongings now they tacked on a 25% fee of $60+ because why? This is my third time trying to get my stuff no manager anywhere. Just disrespect and attitude from employee. I advise not to store your stuff at this croocked location

Horrible experience

I purchased a locker from auction at this location once I went in the unit and see the pictured didn't match up I went back to the office to ask for my money back then that's when the lady went crazy for asking for my money back saying I can't go in their demanding what's mine yelling at me your not a fuken customer but yet she just took $610 from me then after I got upset and asked her once again to call corporate she wasent returning me nothing so then she started yelling even more to the point that she pulled out a knife on me when I clearly stated to her I want no problem just my money back I had to call the police to try to resolve the issue I would like to get her fired and I am calling corporate these past days I just asked for what was mine she was the most dramatic maniac you can come across

Forced billing practices

When paying with a credit card online, the company retains your credit card information; the customer has no choice in the matter. All other companies I have ever dealt with have always given me the option as to whether I want the company to save my credit card information. To make matters worse, I also ended up on auto pay, which I never enrolled in, and was never given a choice in the matter. I prefer to pay my bills every month, after reviewing the monthly bill, and then paying it, instead of the company automatically just taking my money every month. Again, all other companies I do business with give me the option to be on auto pay, without forcing this on me. Also, I am not happy with paying a higher monthly fee, than what a new person pays for the same type unit. I would like to no longer deal with this company, and take my business elsewhere, but it will cost me a lot of time, and hassle, to move to a different company, so I am basically stuck in a losing situation, either way. Hopefully my review will keep others from having to deal with this issue, before they commit.

Locked out

I have auto pay for my unit. My credit card was changed because of fraud. Tried calling several times to update credit card information. After never receiving a callback, I personally went in to update credit card information. Despite being told all was corrected I was subsequently locked out of my unit for non payment and charged a late fee. Was advised by clerk in Springfield office that my payment was processed incorrectly by Metro storage, he advised he would correct and have district manager call me re: late fee and credit for days unit was locked

Convenience Fee

In this time of the pandemic, being an at-risk-person, I have curtailed my trips, so I have been paying my Metro Self Storage monthly rent over the phone. Today, when I called in to make a payment, I was asked to pay a "convenience fee" of $3.95. What for? Whose 'convenience'? Not mine. Convenience on the part of the owners of Metro Storage. This company raises its rent very frequently. Shame! Shame!

Emergency after hour access to my storage unit

I can't get into my storage unit after hours it is an emergency and I really need in there to get the electric air pump for our air mattress or my son will have to sleep on a hardwood floor it's not good for his young body

Spend your money somewhere else.

If a company is its people I now know why Metro Storage is the most bottom of the barrell company you could choose for storage. The human resource department should seriously change their line of work. The one lady whose name starts with an S has to be one of the horriblest people I've ever spoke to. She should change careers and work somewhere in death where she would most likely exceed because trust me she isnt doing a damn thing where she is now. I used to work here. and knew I didnt want to work for them anymore where my MT coworker that had been with the company as long as I had died there was not even 1 mention of it/him. I could not believe it. and this was not the first time. another employee with this company and in my district also died and no mention of it. I will not even repeat what the district manager commented . I found out from another coworker from that area. I would have never known. this is how this company values employees. they are despicable. ot still bothers me when I think about it.

Auction bidders beware

RUDE managers...Beware if you win a auctioned unit online and its a mid day auction dont expect to get your unit for 20+hours. My winning auction was closed at 4:19pm. I called the site immediately it was a tiny organized 5x5 unit. The RUDE male manager said I close in 60 minutes NO one is getting the auction unit today. He got more rude when I quoted the auction rules "PICK-UP HOURS: Any unit purchased is to be cleaned out and broom swept within 48 hours. We highly recommend you contact the facility to coordinate pick-up. Pick up of purchased items must be done during business hours." He basically said NO you have to schedule the pick up which means tomorrow or another time". SO your clean out clock starts the moment the auction is won you close at 6pm its not even 4:30. Ive dealt with numerous auctions and numerous facilities NEVER have I dealt with a RUDE manager nor one not willing to do their job.

A Gouging Company

Metro Storage doesn't give a damn about customer service, or a good business model. They want as much of your money they can get. Example: Things come up, you're late. So you pay the $24.00 late fee. Then there is a convenience fee of $3.75. What the *** is convenient about paying both? Shouldn't the $24.00 be sufficient for fees? Don't store your stuff at Metro Storage if you have a tight budget! Fact! Metro Storage will gouge the *** out of you.
