Frontline plus for dogs

We bought the 3 months supply of frontline plus and after using for two months we saw no flea relief in fact the fleas were never affected by this product. Very disappointed.

Buy another brand.

Rebate for purchasing a full year of heartgard and Nexgard medication for my dog came in the form of a prepaid debit card. It should have $35, but when I activated it, it says $0 balance. I tried to use it twice and it was declined. There is no customer service contact information to ask for help with the card. I followed a link online and was redirected to a chat - where the person on the other end wanted me to pay $5 (refundable) to continue the chat. I did not. If they really want to reward customers for purchases, why not deduct the rebate price at the time of the purchase? I know, and Ill share the answer: because most people dont have the time to jump through hoops to collect the rebate, so it is essentially false advertising.

Shipping

STOP USING HUGE STYROFOAM COOLERS FOR ONE SMALL VIAL OF PRODUCT! It is not only a waste of space, but does not keep the product cold for very long during shipping. We constantly receive one vial of Prozinc in a box that could hold a ten gallon fish tank. Shawn packaged our last one on July 9, 2019. Thanks!

Dog having seizures... Possibly Nexgard??

My dog Ringo (4 years old) has begun to have seizures. He had two seizures a year apart, then one six months later, and now the last two a month apart. Both of the last two seizures occurred exactly 10 days after receiving his Nexgard treatment. The last seizure on September 10 became a cluster and we had to rush him to the ER. We have had him fully tested for other issues that can cause seizures... had x-rays, an MRI, and a spinal tap. He checks out fine. The vet was concerned about the coincidence between his Nexgard treatments and the seizures and has told us to stop giving him Nexgard.

Certifect

My 80 lb German Shepard mix has been using Certifect for 10 months. I rescued him and he had a bad flea infestation. Within several hours he was a happy baby. It works really well. He has had no side effects. The only problem I have right now is finding it.

Worried and upset

Hello my name is Regina Dobbins I am reaching out to you for help. I have a 9 month old German Shepard who we love dearly. Our vet (Dr Linda Rentfrow) prescribed nexgard as a flea and tick treatment. He has been on the product now for 4 months. He has now devolved serve dry skin with massive hair loss and itching. I am stopping the medicine now. How can we help to treat this and get it out of his system? I also have two of the 6 chewable’s left I would like to be refunded for as this product is dangerous! Please help! I need to know what to do for our baby as he is suffering. We have already paid a almost 200.00 vet bill to have his skin tested and a injection for the itching. I look forward to a quick response. Sincerely, Regina Dobbins Worried dog mom

Never buy Heartgard again!

This afternoon i gave my 6 y.o. Queensland Heeler a Heartgard Plus chewable. Within a couple hours my dog's heart was racing and he was panting excessively [though the weather is very cool and he had not engaged in any activity]. I tried to interest him in chasing his favorite ring toy. No interest. Offered him a milkbone, which is a special treat he only gets every few days. No interest. Put food in his dish. No interest, and he's an avid eater. called Merial, the supplier for Heartgard. The operator said no vet tech was available. I asked about a call back as soon as someone arrived in the morning. Sorry..."you need to call back." Heartgard is an expensive product. One would think they would have concerns for their customers. WRONG. I cannot continue this review because the words I think appropriate are too profane. All I'll say is "XXX *** them to ***" for their absolute lack of concern.

Merial Heartgard Plus Dewormer Review

I regularly used a heartworm preventative for my dogs, I had used heart guard ,I noticed this time the vet no longer carried it. When I asked about it I was told that the product was not affective as many of the loved pets got heartworm and had passed away. I want to thank my vet for his ability to separate Profits for the life of his customers loved family members.

Dog may require emergency care

Dog was given Merial Heartgard Plus. She began vomiting profusely. I called the customer care line and they were rude and uncaring. I will never purchase another Merial product and advise other animal lovers to avoid these products as well. Merial employees stated they could not tell me how long adverse reactions last. Even after explaining I live in a rural are without access to an emergency vet on a Sunday she kept repeating she would only give this information to a vet. Basically, they had the info but refused to help me. One of my foster dogs died after taking a Heartgard and I never blamed the medication but now I am second guessing that as well. I will never know but I will be advocating that all animal organizations stop using these products.

Merial - Heartgard Plus Dewormer Review

My dog is undergoing heartworm treatment. We didn't miss a single dose of Heartguard for her or our other 4 dogs however, since ONE box was purchased from a different vendor than our vet's office Merial will not stand behind their product guarantee to assist with her treatment. Even though the FDA's guidelines (according to the American Heartworm Society) states: "This means heartworm preventives must be purchased from your veterinarian or with a prescription through a pet pharmacy". The Merial rep kept saying, "I'm sorry your vet didn't clarify our guarantee before you made an outside* purchase". Excuse me! I'm sorry my dog has to endure these taxing treatments and the potential for lifelong complications of a life-threatening disease that NONE of our other dogs happened to contract while receiving the same medication from the outside* vendor. *Outside vendors (according to Merial rep) = any store (online or brick & mortar) that is not your vet. Even though a vet has to fax a prescription. Even though the product is produced, packaged, sealed, and the expiration date issued by Merial. Merial "cannot guarantee where these vendors purchased Heartguard for resale."

Merial Pet Vaccination Review

Our maltese chihuahua mix became deathly ill within 2 hours of receiving the Merial vaccine. Hours of vomiting and diarrhea through the night. She is currently at vet, who gave her this vaccine, on IV fluids, anti vomiting and anti diarrhea meds to stop the reaction. Merry Christmas to little 5 pound Izzie

Beware of chemical burn

I have used Fronline Plus on and off for many years for multiple pets. It used to work pretty well but lately it doesn't seem to work well at all. I used it on one of my dogs two days ago and today she has a horrible area that is chemically burned. I can't believe that this happened. It looks so bad and I'm sure my dog is miserable. I am going to take her to the vet tomorrow for treatment. I will never purchase again. This has been the most horrible experience that I have ever had with any pet meds.
