Going for water pump #3 with less than 120 hours on motor all service done at recommend times will never buy another Mercury product Mercury marine first guy hung up and was rude very un professional would like to have him talk to me in person like that

Maintenance guide

Confused when to perform first oil change. Owners manual was not clear. Representative I talked to was very knowledgeable. Im now clear about that. He also cleared up two other things: winterization, and gasoline octane questions. Very good representative!

Have been calling for 3 days no response, no one to answer customer service

I have called your customer service for 3 days and no one to answer the phone also called local dealer and they told the web sight was down and had been down for days . Absolutely can not reach any person to help or even speak with. So confused why. Looks like your system is down so everyone goes home or just dont answer the phone and emails. I guess everyone waits on you some customer service, so dissatisfied.

8.2 L HO failure

My 2019 8.2 L HO was replaced under warranty in 2020. Now it has failed again with 139 hours and is has failed with the same problem. Orginial engine serial is 2A587366 This is a $27000 repair on a three year old boat. It appears to me that there is a manufacturing problem with this engine. I have had many boats that have had 500 hours plus and not had an engine failure. I think Mercury should step up an address this problem

Waiting for a warranty repair for 7 months!

I purchased a 2019 boston whaler conquest 285 with twin 2019 mercury 250hp super charged verados. My boat is covered under warranty. I have a mercury warranty on the motors. Its been broken and at a mercury dealership. How can you take 7 month for a warranty repair? This is fraud. I have over $ 10,000 dollars in biat slips i cant use. Not to mention a $400,000 dollar boat mercury will not provide parts to fix under warranty. I would like an answe on when my parts will come? I would like additional warranty time added to my boat for the season I lost. My next step us legal representation. Its my under standing there is over 568 boats waiting for the same defective parts. This seems like a potential class action law suit. Tim Doyle

Complaint on engine issues new boat

Bought brand new boat mercury engine 90 hp used twice last year major leak in lower unit replaced oil pump and seals under warranty never use the boat put in winter storage then used it this spring in May used it twice leak from engine oil then leak they cannot find leak. Dealership called tech at Merc Merc gave options to do and look at yet now theyre saying theyre going to replace the gasket Ive had the boat in the water five times in 2 years brand new boat I feel the engine should be just replaced because i dont have a total of five hours and Ive had two major oil leaks this is not right

Water in the engine still under warranty

After about four and half years water was getting in the oil compartment. The mercury dealer had never done anything apart from changing the oil and the filter every time I send it for service. No spark plugs nothing. I just sent it to fix it to another marine service and they told me that the cover of the engine was bent because of overheating,and that cost me 580 This is happening in Greece Zakyntho island Thanks Ermal

Checking the legitimacy of a distributor

The number you give goes to a data breach request number. To try to get out of that number, you end up in a rabbit hole of other numbers that wont help you. The number for customer service is essentially worthless

A Very Unhappy Customer

I am writing to inform you about the unhappy experience I had and how extremely concerned it made with my 2010 75 hp 4 stroke Mercury Marine outboard motor. Which was I bought brand-new in 2010 for my 19' pontoon boat I've always been dedicated Mercury motors when it came to your maintenance policy and service. The thing is if I would off know that this motor might develop condensation in the oil compartment that would cause the oil to get milky/snotty looking and clogged up the oil lines and filter I was shocked. Specially a motor with as less than 200 hours on it!! I would've had it check out and taken care of it more often! When I got the explanation of everything that has to be done to my motor to fix the problem I was shocked and disappointed. I thought that this motor would last me more than 10 years. Especially when I devoted my time in keeping all my motorized motors well-kept and maintained as far as being serviced. I am a strong believer that if you take of your motors they will take care of you. Boy was I wrong about Mercury Marine motor. It makes me very concerned that when I think of what of might of happen if I hadn't got the motor check out when I did!. It was told me that it was very dangerous when the motor gets like this because it could've exploded on me! Believe me I will be having seconded thought's on buying another Mercury Marine motor again or recommending them to anybody else to buy. Please see what can be done to help me with the cost on this motor which could be over a thousand dollars. This is very unacceptable to me especially because I put my trust in Mercury Marine motors!.
