Unrequested membership.

My card was charged without my permission. I had been a member of this group a number of years ago, so the organizer had my information. Ice quee written her twice, asking her to reverse the $15 charge, but she has ignored my messages.

Follow up on an issue

I never received any follow up regarding a group l joined, and was then discriminated and hassled by the organizer, via my private emails. I left the group and reported her to Meetup, and apparently, she just started more groups. This woman is neurotic and a control freak. Why was she able to start more groups?

No follow up to me, about my issue with a group and it's organizer.

I contacted Meetup about a crazed, neurotic discriminatory organizer who began contacting and hassling me about the other groups l was in, on my private email. I left her group, reported her and nothing happened. She just started more groups on Meetup. Why is that? This woman clearly has issues! She has 5 FB accounts and profiles...and they're all the same! How weird is that?

Unable to access events RSVP to sign up for any events

Have tried to access Meetup.com help desk 12 hours ago and have not received any response from them.

You cancelled my account

Went to paid meetup account, was not at all worth it, cancelled the payment and meetup froze my entire account. No way to call, no response to email, *** support. Screw meetup, not worth 1$

The group admin kicked me out of the group for no reason.

Hi dear madam or sir, My name is Ceyhun. I m from Turkey. The group admin removed me of the group. There was an event. They organized it in the cafe. The event subject was exchange language. They published the event in the group. It was going to be in the cafe. And Enterence fee was 200 Turkish Liras. I said if it could be free it would be better. Because i had been another exchange language event it was free. Admin said it s business. I said i thought it s friendly group. I askes If it s businees, do you have tax number? If you getting income from this group you should provide tax the government. He was very rude to me. Then he removed me from the group. I told him, if you dont pay tax i ll call the tax office. I hope, you can solve this problem. And please give me information about this. Best Regards, Ceyhun

Confusing website. No human contact. Phone number does not work want to deactivate my account and can’t get any confirmation that it’s happening

Signed up for six months in February. Wanted to start a new group. Found the website unwieldy and confusing. Could not communicate with would be prospective members. Want to deactivate my account AS I DONT want to be automatically re-enrolled and charged for a service I am very unhappy with. WORSE the customer support number DOES NOT WORK!!!

Event listing not working properly

I am a organized for many years with meet up . I am having 2 problems with an event listing. One individual i blocked from my group but she was allowed to make an rsvp. I had to manually list her as not going and i expect i will have to deal with more of her very bad behavior which was the reason for banning her from the group. I have a limit of 8 rsvps and suddenly a 9th was accepted . Your app is not working!!! My group is called Fun Over Fifty. And we are in Louisville KY I believe i have been paying you for this service for about 10 years. Jane Hermes

In the past 2 weeks I have received complaints from 3 people who have joined my group

I have been a Meetup organizer paying dues of $200/yr for the past 13 years. As of this writing I have 5,048 members and 1,949 5 star reviews. Meetup support sucks and is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, very poorly managed, and the Meetup.com platform has bugs as far back as I can remember. I have complained at least monthly for years. In the past 2 weeks I have received complaints from three people who have joined my group, but I am not receiving notices from Meetup of said members request to join, so that I am unable to accept said requests to join my group. It is my policy to require interested parties to be accepted by me before they are able to become official members of my Meetup groups. If there are 3 people who have joined but not received by me to be accepted, I can only assume there are others. These three have notified me personally. It has been at least 2 weeks since these members asked to join and be accepted. Before and since these three people have notified my of their completed registration, several have joined and been accepted by me. However, these three have not been received by me. I do not accept nonmembers to attend my hiking and kayaking events due to the inherent risks for safety purposes. However, since these three people notified me directly that they joined, I had no choice to make an exception, since the problem is with Meetup, not the members who join. If I stop paying dues, Meetup shuts me down. The only leverage I have is to complain to Meetup support and post negative online reviews.
