Complaint about one of your sites

I went to Med Express on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington De on Sat June 24th. This was the worst experience EVER!!. I got there and no one at front desk so I waited a couple of minutes and no one came to desk, so I called while sitting in lobby. The phone rang for ten minutes. Every two maybe three minutes of ringing it would hang up. So I called back. This was done three times. Eventually an employee came out to see a patient out. I asked if anyone was checking in patients, the response was that the secretary must be in bathroom. When expressed I've been sitting here 20 minutes she had the Audacity to tell me they are short staffed and I need to complain to corporate. I am the only person in this waiting room for twenty minutes with No, No cars in parking lot and my punishment for be ill and wanting care is to tell me to call corporate. Nurses take a oath to help and this woman was anything but helpful. Not a let me see where receptionist is or how can I help you. Just a we are understaffed with no patients and I'm too consumed with doing who knows what to assist you. What really put the icing on cake was the phone rang while I was still waiting on this absent receptionist and I literally watched someone behind counter come out answer phone, LOOKED AT ME and walked back into the back of building. Maybe Sat after 2 o'clock are slow because they just don't respond to customers and the customers just leave and use Christiana Care, because they are actually present to care for the ill. This place and the employee attitudes towards patients is irrepressible. We've all worked understaffed, but in what world is it acceptable to not work. That staff needs retraining or replacement.

Policy of needing a credit card on file

I would like to know why care is denied when I have insurance. Because I don't have a credit card?? Where is the policy in writing??

Nasty attitude by the nurse practitioner or whatever her title was the process my physical

The initial staff I met at the front window were nice but when I went back with the information the person already has she was facetious and pompous also I just had a physical done about 2 months ago for a prospective job and lady said oh you're 5'9 and a half inches will just say 5'10 been that way since high school now all of a sudden I'm 5'8 she might want to learn how to measure I don't think you can shrink in a little bit of 2 months same with eyes I just tested 2010 and 2020 try to explain to her my eyes get dry just put in drops and she wouldn't wait she's like oh no just go ahead and read the line you can see I'm like no just give me a second and that became this test of wills yet on the front door you can see because they get dirt bags who are druggies any kind of violent action or words towards staff will get you kicked out see they have to threaten people like that because of the simple fact they themselves are the passive aggressive people who treat people like dirt you're just a number they don't care about you they just want to get you out the door that's why the reviews are so horrible in the rating so low and bad worthless go somewhere else if you can

The Doctors never give treatment only covid test that is all they worry about!

You have to wait an hour until youre seen and then when youre seen, they dont even give you any anabiotic for if you have had it ongoing cold that wont go away with over-the-counter drugs they wont do testing for the flu or strep, but theyll always give you a Covid test. In my opinion, its a complete waste of time to go to if youre in a pinch wait for your family doctor the next day. They do nothing to help the patients and Im speaking about the one in Greensburg at Eastgate shopping center.

Waste of time

What a waste of an establishment and time! I finally convinced my father in law to go with me to Medexpress last night. After an hour drive, we arrived at 6:40 pm (they close at 8pm) and we were turned away at the door and refused to see him because he did not have chest pain or stroke like symptoms. I called the manager today to ask why this was and she said MedExpress changed their policy to accept limited walk ins and that we would need to make an appointment. What is the point of an urgent care if we have to make an appointment?

They are rude and unprofessional

A simple drug test, I waited over an hour and had to leave. Horrible and rude unhappy workers and management. They need to change their name to Med NoExpress.

Ridiculous

They r so unprofessional then take all day to do simple things at the Monroeville location. One day they dont have a nurse then the refuse to do the physical before the tb reading which actually makes it harder for you and them what brainless fools

Unprofessional staff and doctor

I took my 16 year old son in for sinus infection. When the PA put him on amoxicillin I didnt think it would work because its been unsuccessful in past. After my son was on it for 5 days with not much improvement, I called to have doctor switch it to a Zpack which has usually taken care of his sinus infections. They wouldnt switch it without another visit which would cost me another visit. The front staff was very rude and said thats the protocol and why the doctors go to school. I told her he didnt see a doctor but a PA at which time she told me they didnt have to listen to people calling in to insult doctors. I told her I hadnt insulted anyone and it was a waste of my money and why insurance is so high with unnecessary visits. It was the worst experience ever.

This is not a professional medical facility

So, medexpress is using Covid 19 as an excuse not to perscribe antibiotics or do an assessment on patients with upper repository or sinus issues. They want you to be automatically tested for Covid before any treatment begins. Fine I understand, I followed their protocol results was negative I'm still sick with Severe sinusitis yet they still won't give me an antibiotic. I got it will go away on its own or your temp too high for a sinusitis infection..(102) My point is they took my money that I paid to get treated...I went to get medical relief from 6 days of being miserable! All their concerns was take my money swab me and that was it! No follow up....no returning phone calls no medication to help speed the process of fighting off an infection...they did not even do an exam...just vitals....did not look up nose, throat, or suggest sinus xrays or anything to remotely make me feel better...its no wonder why this place gets sued over n over!

Complaint about Service

My Dad, a dementia patient, who this company is familiar with has been treated inhumanely today. They were called today after my Dad had fallen. They come & assess him and the guy says, his vitals are fine. He had no regard for his painwhen moved my Dad was wailing in pain. I do not get how someone can say, well hes a dialysis & dementia patient and the hospital in Many, LA cant keep him due to him being a dialysis patient. What does that have to do with a possible broken bone? Well the last time I checked any hospital can X-ray a patient to determine if he/she has a broken bone: leg or hip. The disregard for his care is/was ridiculous. It is not the employees call to determine that all they can do is help get him off the floor because his vitals are good!

Refund for Covid Test Charge

Medexpress charged me $50 for Covid test in Jan 2021 and my Health Insurance paid them for it and when I called them they said the would refund my $50 and I called several times and was told refund was approved and as of 10/21/2021 have not received, they also said the would get back to me in a couple days each time I called and never did. It's not like the don't have the money from all the others paying their bill.

A physical

I checked in at 12:51 it is now 1:59 PM. I have been sitting in the parking lot to get a physical done at MedExpress. They have you call in because of Covid they dont want the waiting rooms filled up with people. So I called in and they told me that they would be with me in just a minute. I have been sitting in the parking lot now for over an hour. They already processed my payment for the physical without giving me the physical and will not call me in at a reasonable time.They offer an option to get a physical here but then put you in the back of the line because you are not considered priority
