Be careful before you sign up for MasterClass

I am a lifelong learner who holds 4 academic degrees. Ive been intrigued by a few ads for MasterClass and the free trial made me sign up. What I thought I would get was a class or a lengthy lecture from these well-known experts in their fields. Instead I got what were more like a few sound bites or clips from a class or lecture. More info for free on YouTube, through doing good research, or even through Chat GPT (well sometimes). The worst thing is that I canceled the same day but was charged the entire fee days later. Upon researching, I see that this has been a common issue and complaint - people not only being charged when they cancel during the free trial period but also being automatically billed for the next year and so on. Not sure yet what will happen, but be wary!

Cancellation

Could cancel from the app. They charged me for the next year. You guys provided the number. I called, they refunded my money. Great customer service.

Poor serviceo

I tried to cancel within the period where i could get a refund. Instead, I was promised an email telling me it was almost over. I realize, after double-checking, i never received it. Problem #1 Problem #2 Your system says I successfully changed my Password. Then it refuses it. I tried talking with someone. While pleasant didnt seem to understand what I said. Im disgusted. now I'm quite unhappy. Please advise ASAP

Pealing 8 inch fry pan - non stick after one use - scramble eggs!

My Husband, bought also a non stick Dutch pot for chilie or soup with no problem. Could you help me? ( Im afraid to use the fry pan because of surface pealing ). Please help me. Thankyou . Mrs Chase .

Double billed

I was billed twice and I cant reach anyone. This is a disservice to customers. I need help and I do not know what to do.

Cannot get into Masterclass with out profile

I paid $250.00 annual subscription but now I cannot get into the site to continue my learning. I have to set up a profile...I also notice that you are streaming news into the site. Have you changed to a social media platform?? Anyway I am unhappy that I cannot access what I paid for. I set up a profile (for what I ask) and it will not recognize my email...which I know you have because I receive your emails. I am a very busy person and expect that you will honor that. Please contact me and help get this fixed.

Attempt to take payment

This company tried to take money out of my account. I've not subscribed so wish to cancel anything because it was not me that subscribed.

Unauthorized charge

I did not order anything. The charge just showed up on my credit card. No way to reach anyone by phone. The bot was helpless.

Impossible to cancel

This is is the worst subscription I have ever had! It is impossible to contact them to cancel. I tried over and over, finally did talk to them and they verified that they would NOT renew my subscription.. then they did renew it and sent me a receipt that I had been charged 179.00! Im trying to cancel now! Do not subscribe unless you want the classes for life.

No completion certificates

As well promoted as your courses are and considering the level/experience of your instructors, You'd think it would be a simple task to produce a digital completion certificate at the end of each class or overall course. I have to do CEU's for my job and the various places I have done online continuing education classes already have computer generated digital templates in place. As soon as you finish your class and submit your final test/quiz. If you pass, you get emailed a digital certificate. It's not that complicated. People like to be recognized for their accomplishments and it looks good to employers too.

Cant access my account

I purchased a Masterclass program for a 2021 Christmas gift through a BOGO offer. I am not able to access my account, it keeps wanting me to buy another. No customer service available.

I didn't order youir produict. Don't know how you got my bankcard number. now you want me to give it to you again so we can resolve this. I'm not stupid.

You have somehow gotten my bankcard number & order your product without my permission. Now you want me to give you my card number again & pay to get this resolved. Could you be more corrupt.

Customer support please

I was given a gift subscription but I was inable to set up an account without my payment info. I have emailed a couple times with no response. I have not watched any MC videos while waiting for my account to be credited. Please credit my account and gift subscription. Thank you so much! Barbara Gumm

Crooks

They took my money and I cant get into my account. No way to reach support only the bot. With no support they are crooks that take your money. Buyer beware before purchasing the courses that are basic as *** And its a pain in the *** to cancel and they keep billing!

Renewed membership without consent, notice

My membership was renewed without my consent and without notice. Now I can't find any way to contact them for a refund aside from email. Very frustrating and time consuming.

Can't access the classes I paid for and have received so many emails trying to fix it that I am in overload.

Master Class doesn't seem to have a customer service phone number any more so that my problem could be quickly resolved, the way it was last time I signed up and had the same problem. I have two email addresses and that is the problem. They can't seem to get it fixed and now want to blame it on my Apple I.D. I am ready to give up and will never sign up with them again.
