Commercial on TV

Master Pool and Spa has a commercial on main channels every half hour!!! The beeping is very irritating and I can hardly wait to change the channel ! It definitely doesn't make me want to run out to get one, which is about 3 hours away! Very, very annoying! I'll never buy one!! Jill Larson

Just Misleading practices aimed at consumers who don't do research

Ive been in the hot tub industry for almost 30 years, and I am well aware of all the horror stories surrounding these sales. It had been a few years since I checked one out so last week I made my way to the Fairgrounds in Spokane. The hot tub right outside the door at the show was wrapped in a Master Spas logo but no other manufacturers were represented. The advertising touts Multiple Manufacturers which is a blatant lie. Like most every spa maker, they have a few series of spas within the line. This is no different for all of us. Im not sure why they feel the need to lie to people about this. They suggest hundreds of spas on site when there was 20-25. One of the first things I noticed was no pricing on any of their spas or swim spas. This is always concerning as obviously the price can be made up on the fly and discounts are fictitious. I wandered over to a group of 6 people standing around a running spa. The elderly gentleman was explaining some of the features to this unknowing group. I asked him who services these spas in Spokane and area as there is no Master Spas retailer anywhere near here. He went on to suggest that they were the ONLY company that looks after their customers. A bold statement but I stuck around to hear the rest of the drivel Instead of a service company, they have many service people hired by Master Spas in every area to service their spas. I was like, OK, but WHO in my area services them? He couldnt answer my very simple question. One of the couples I was standing next to walked away at this point and left. The standard response is to suggest a local retailer has agreed to do the warranty work. Years ago, the company I worked for was their made up choice. We had people coming in all the time looking for service who bought at these shows and we had to tell them that they were mislead and that we didnt service Master Spas. This was just how they operated. Now they call around to plumbers or electricians to try and service their spas. Often this can take WEEKS and there are call out fees. These people dont stock parts so consumers have to wait to get Master to send them parts and then schedule the repair (hopefully they know how). Ive had so many people frustrated after making one of these purchases that they were lied to. As someone who has tried very hard over the years to surpass expectations and provide exceptional support and only will work for companies that put customers first, companies like this bring the entire industry down and give it a bad reputation. I wish we could prevent this, not because they sell a few spas but instead, because of everything Ive mentioned above. I love competition and I believe that its great for every industry but when its about lies and deceit, its then that I have a serious issue with these 888 spa sales.

Expensive hottub, cloudy water, no customer service, etc.

We purchased our hot tub a year and a half ago, and have used it two or three times. The water is cloudy, foamy, etc. They don't help you resolve anything. We purchased extra products and filters to try again. It really sucks. I loved our old hot tub until the power zapped it. I will NEVER EVER buy anything there. They are crooks and crooked. I was going to register our hot tub on-line, but the serial number says F/O. ??? Whatever that means. We paid a lot of money and have the one with the most jets.

Company doesn't care for their clients

Worst customer service ever. The supervisor Dallas will not work with you to correct their wrong. He will only point out non-relevant contract language in response to discrepancies in what they said would happen and what actually happens. My estimated time for arrival was 4-6 weeks and it took 4 months, he tried to tell me that's because I was not ready for the delivery, which is not true. I had my electric installed & my hot tub built at week 4. The standard delivery will not cover your delivery fee. Beware that he will tell you that's your problem even though it was misleading. He will not offer any solution except to tell you that you should take that up with the delivery guy. A $15,000 hot tub delivered 4 months late and they can't cover the $350 extra undisclosed delivery fee?!?!! Unbelievable. Don't waste your money here. Not worth the stress.

The service with this company is not good. Have had maintainance issues since i purchased the pool. have replaced 3 maybe 4 pumps, repaired a leak and now they say I need almost $2000 to replace the

Lately making contact with them on the phone has been difficult. Have to leave my number and then if I am not by the phone when they call back have to leave my number again. Maintenance is slow coming. waited a week only to have appointment rescheduled another week later and then they say nothing is wrong pool still leaks after I drain it like they say and refill it????? I would highly recommend buying a pool from some place else. turnwith==========havehave

Stay away from this company

Check out the people that run this company. This is a SCAM! Do not purchase from them or any spa company at a trade show. Shop local and save money. This is a group of people with arrests and legal issues that cant get jobs doing anything else and are scamming people.

Stay far FAR away!

These guys are liars and cheats! They tell you that the major Brands will be at their show! That is a bald-faced lie! It is one Brand Master Spa and they use high-pressure tactics to prey on the innocent. The products are marked up so high so they can say 40-80% off it is again a lie! So the old mark it up to mark it down game! The product is substandard! Go save your time and money and shop local!

I purchased a spa on 6/1/2019 it was delivered

We were told that someone would install the spa to include the hook up, no one called, we called Travis Gilinsky several times until now we cannot get a straight answer, the spa is sitting in the back yard and we are required to make monthly payments $541.85 per months, can someone help us, our next recourse is to seek legal advise, can some one call me 725-204-****.

$8000 down the drain!

Purchased hot tub 8/2018... Multiple issues keep water chemistry normal and discovered the water was not being pulled through filters... 3/2019 called to get tub serviced. They are unwilling to send out a service person without jumping through hoops. I was told my water chemistry is out of balance because I don’t wait long enough between chemicals to add more. Hence-Drained tub, scrubbed it inside and out. Started all over and filled tub added startup chemicals as instructed and waited 30 minutes in between each chemical. To my shock it didn’t fix it! Really? Once again began emailing again without response in return. I was told I was sending my emails to the wrong person. Apparently there is no “forward” option on the email there. Finally in August I found the phone number for the store I needed, I had lost it in March. I finally was able to speak to a person who gave me the correct email to send my information to and he transferred me to the service line to leave a message. It is now September and I have yet to receive a phone call but did get an email. I was informed that only 1 in 200 customers actually need a service call and I have to give them my credit card information prior to them setting up the call so I would be liable for the cost if they deem it to be my fault and not the fault of the tub... the tub is not useable at this time and I have called for my own service person to come out. At the same time waiting to see if Master Spas gets in touch with me. Do not buy a Master Spa if there isn’t a dealer in your town! The closest one to me is 1200 miles away in MN Never will I buy something like this at a home and garden show.

BAD Experience

We purchased the spa In Colorado Springs and it was delivered within a week. We contacted the delivery company for the second placement and after 4 days of NO response, we were called back to get an appointment set for the following Saturday at 10am. We had the electrician scheduled for that time frame. At 12pm, we still waited. Called the company several times and texted. The owner responded via and told me I should never schedule the electrician until the hot tub is in place and his guys "have a lot on their plate". At 2:30pm, 4 and 1/2 hours of waiting they showed. When they brought the hot tub back to the concrete we had installed 2 weeks prior, they damaged the concrete. They apologized for the damaged cement and left. NEVER should a hot tub purchase & delivery be this POOR.

Misled at “spa show”

In Denver recently, we were shown a floor model spa with many of the options we wanted...what arrived at our home was a base model without the options we were shown. It was also missing a filter cover. Patrick the salesman said he would be sending a filter cover in the mail ASAP. We doubt it ever arrives. We feel they misled us then ran off with our money. Please, please believe the nightmare scenarios described online. They are real. It happened to us.

Awful! Scam!

Do not get a hot tub from this company! They are liars. This was a huge purchase for us and they completely took advantage of us. This whole process left me sick to my stomach. We asked if the tub was a standard 220 and the salesman lied. Now we have to hire an electrician to add wire from the opposite side of the house which is going to cost hundreds of dollars.
