State Senator Nancy Guensts had an investigation done proving Systemic Abuse among other things and filed a report now in review by the Attorney Generals offices! Currently 2 lower level staff have been fired in upper management, who knew and allowed it are running it worse in a word they do not want RHAs staff to be aware off this mess!! Both they ln Bethlehem Pa as well as Tom Costello and his boss Pam Howard are sanctioned this abuse!! Resident are being Hospitalized and becoming suicidal because of both RHA IN BETHLEHEM and thu County namely Tom Costello and Yam Howard who let go on for 6 MONTHS. Complaint about an Employee this may need to go to HR

There is an employee that works their name Randy Vincent. This man while on the job tried to initiate cyber-sex over skype or zoom with my wife. Just wanted you to know what kind of shenanigans are going on in your company. Is this what kind of employee's you hire. I'm very disgusted and very upset. Hope you're going to do something about this.

My insurance company uses them for prior authorization

my insurance company uses them and their company nia for prior authorizations of services. first off I don't like the fact that there's another company that's looking at my medical information and secondly, that they are employed to second-guess the decisions that are between my doctors and me. once the authorization request is submitted they always have to have chart notes alternative treatments that have been done and diagnosis i. I was scheduled to have a interlaminarial corticosteroids injection done was not approved for the data service which made me have to sign a liability statement and the only reason it was not approved was because of a pain score number that was given repeatedly by me that they did not take my word for and from my doctor's office which they their word for they've caused me so much stress and they are horrible company

They dropped me

I was dropped and no reason given. I didn't know till 30 days prior causing me to take whatever i could get which is very difficult due to my chronic health conditions. I noticed after my pacemaker they jacked the premium. I have a fixed income and just lost my husband and must move. Its either pay insurance or have no place to live.

To improve mental health substance abuse coverage

I have been a Magellan provider for 10 years. The notoriously deny authorizations necessary to provide substance abuse treatment. They do not use ASAM criteria to determine medical necessity. They do not use DSM5 criteria. The provider manual does not tell you HOW they determine medical necessity. Peer to peer review means NO. It is clear MDs already have decided before the review. Symptoms are not considered. HOW CAN THIS GET CHANGED

Not happy with their therapists

Called for help and the therapist was very unprofessional. Belittled me over the phone and rude her name is Akasuk Bakeman Dyboa. They must hire the cheapest people they possibly can. I would not send my neighbors dog to her and I do not like my neighbors dog. Constantly barks and she probably could not spell it anyway. A total waste of my time seeking help. No wonder its free. They owe me

Do not purchase insurance with Magallan

You are more likely to get paid more at a nail studio than contract with Magellan. They have no regard for skills, experience of providers in the mental health field. I would rather see my patients for free than deal with Magellan.

FRAUD! RUN!

The purpose of this review is to make the public aware and most importantly beware of this company. The situation is as follows: I pay $200 extra per month to have out-of-network insurance coverage through AVMED and Magellan Behavioral Health. It has been extremely problematic to get reimbursed for each of the claims I submitted. I have sent each of the claims three or four times, EVERY TIME the claims have been denied for preposterous reasons, such as: "We did not receive your claim because you mailed it to the address on the claim form and that is the wrong address;" or "The claim does not have a NPI on the form" (It did!!); the NPI number is incorrect (It isn't). and the funniest, "you did not write the word "corrected" on the claim, instead you wrote, "resubmitted", ECT, ECT, ECT. Each time the claims have been denied claiming the information submitted was either insufficient or incorrect, when in fact, the information WAS CORRECT. I keep calling representatives, who say someone will call me back within 48 hours. BUT THEY HAVE NOT FOLLOWED UP. Stay away from this company. At this point, I am exhausted of dealing with this administrative nightmare; I have submitted a complaint to the BBB stating my indignation with Magellan Behavioral Health.

Annoyed provider

Awesome - another case review - Practicing for 20+ years- I've done 2 practicums, an internship and post-doctoral fellowship successfully - have a successful practice - so I'm curious - what are the qualifications of those reviewing my treatment and if this insurance company believes I haven't helped my patient quickly enough they ought to tell their patients they have X amount of time to get it together. Will be dropping this insurance as soon as possible

Provider complaint

This is the second time I have been called to set up time for a review of one of my patients. I have been practicing for over 25 years and believe my judgement about what my patient's needs are better than a template they use for care. This company's reimbursement is worse than almost any other company. Will not be taking any new patients
